Peter should not have married Lois. She doesn’t deserve a husband. At least Peter is not married to Francine. Things would’ve gotten a bit uglier, if he were.
@@evald5373 I mean...is he? Brian keeps talking about doing great things but Peter has done, and will continue to do insane stuff that Brian couldn't even think of. Brian keeps talking about making a memorable novel, when the closest thing to that is the book that was blank pages, but throughout the series Peter has wrote two series, a comic strip, and god knows what else
I love how characters like Peter and Quagmire take Brian so seriously and forget Brian is just a talking dog who somehow hasn’t died of alcohol poisoning over the years
Then again he takes himself too seriously as well...but this scene feels a lot like Peter is possessed by Quagmire...don´t recall this episode. What is going on there?
@@nethergollum4219 he had a personality flip with Quagmire by wearing his underwear accidentally. Meanwhile quagmire was acting like Peter such as playing Surfin Bird.
For those wondering, this is the episode where Quagmire and Peter accidently wear each others underwear which is why Peter has the characteristics of Glenn
@@KatonNeko that doesn't make it better though, while it's true that they do acknowledge that they are horrible people they are also actively doing nothing to really change that behavior
I mean they think caring about Nancy Pelosi's title makes you in support of women... Libtards are all the same. Say stupid things, support the wrong things, etc.
they did, in essence, quagmire said the same about him living rent-free and with free food etc. yet complains about responsibilities or having to work, has horrible writing, tries to sleep with his owner's wife. so yeah, same stuff less words
Yeah, he is stretching his neck out like Quagmire when he says giggity. He and Quagmire switched personalities because they accidentally wore each other underpants.
He at least has a job compared to Brian. Sure Peter isn’t the best but at least he actually has a job and doesn’t completely freeload. But Brian really doesn’t have a job despite being capable enough of having one.
@@Testingthisname he also regularly destroys the town, blows all his money on stupid ideas, and it’s said several times he doesn’t even pay for his house and it’s Lois’a dad who actually pays for their house and food.
@@miastrong151 The characters in general were way more balanced in the earlier seasons, a large part of their character was acting as a caricature of a certain demographic, but it wasn't nearly to the extent of the later seasons. They had other aspects of their character which have now been ignored for the most part to make gags.
He still is voice of reason. Without brain. Whole family is mess up family. Brain is a reason why they keeping family together in good way. Especially stewie. Can you imagine growing up with nobody Especially your own father don't give a damn about you? Brain is father figure and is more a father than Peter himself. Brain is a good family dog in my view
Gee, Peter wanted to be Quagmire from the Past so he decided he wanted to Strapped before Lois got Home and Brain wants to Talk to Peter because he's acting Weird Lately.
@@cloj4754 yeah but in our society its better to be a genuine scumbag then it is to be dishonest the problem really comes in that brian is the kinda person you'd regularly see in real life but because he's surrounded by cartoonishly straightforward assholes any progress he'd make would be immediately undercut... also Brian is an asshole as well just not as big of one
Do you think Brian becoming an unlikable character over the last few years is family guy's way of giving us all the middle finger after the fuss we kicked up when he died.
@@_Sage967_ True, but Quagmire and Peter are still worse. Lois I think is probably the worst in the entire series. She's abusive, selfish and is an even worse version of Brian when you think about it lol
No offense mate, I think Peter's worse he has also being a rapist, a racist, an alcoholic, a narsicist, he is the worse character (based on morality) that has come out of the Fred Flinstone formula...
This is actually Quagmire talking through Peter, which is the reason why Peter complimented Lois as an angel, but I personally never liked this whole rivalry between Quagmire and Brian. It sounds so hypercritical when Quagmire roasts Brian for his mistakes. This was probably done intentionally, but I think it would have been better if the writers used either Joe or Cleveland for this role.
I also never liked the rivalry between Quagmire and Brian too, I also get that people say that Brian is the worst person but at least he's trying to be a good person. And for the amount of time he used to want to be with Lois, he believes that she deserves better than Peter, but even she's equally terrible.
That’s not true, Quagmire really only regards Lois so highly because she’s a fantasy, Peter has been married to her for years but Quagmire can only dream about it, Quagmire has never gone through the rough patches of the relationship.
Regarding Brian, I cannot stand how Brian acted in the episode "Brian Writes a Bestseller" where he purposely abuses, bullies, and torments Stewie for *no reason,* even though Stewie was trying to help Brian with his writing career throughout the episode. I am also disappointed that Stewie didn't beat up Brian like in the iconic "Where's my Money" scenes after all the abuse Brian did to him during the episode.
Or the time Brian intentionally gave Stewie herpies... and it turned out he did the same to Chris who knows how long ago. Or when Brian switched bodies with Peter and slept with Lois which is rape by deception. Or when Brian invested in a protein shake company that uses dog meat, sentient dog meat at that and he knew it.
I would approve more of Brian being called out if the people who did this weren't pretty awful themselves. I mean the jerk levels really went up in later seasons.
I remember a time when Brian was productive, humble, respecting of boundaries, and the sensible person of the house. Sad to see his devolution as a character.
Brian is a best worst character on family guy for at least he's on his own self in realize that he is a jerk in the long scheme of things and except that he is one not like some of other main characters on the show.
Not really. The reason family guy sucks now is they made brian an utter dickhead to make the others seem less bad by comparison so they could slowly make them worse over time. They are all utter trash compared to who they were
Pretty much everyone on Family Guy is amoral or demented in some way. The only person is probably still good is Bruce; Worst thing he’s ever done is almost marry Meg just to make his parents happy and not know he’s gay. That and having sex with a cartoon bear but that was just a cut away
@@austinkozlowski3120 I don't know about that. I mean yeah, in terms of damage done, Peter probably wins, but a lot of what Peter does, he does unintentionally because he's just that stupid or it can be put at least partly on his mental disability. Brian basically never has an excuse. Most every shitty thing he has ever done, Brian knew was wrong as he was doing it, but he just didn't care because it was inconvenient for him in some capacity. He's the king of pretentious hypocrisy and constantly spouts vague, hollow platitudes and irrelevant quotes to cover for the fact that he's not the wise scholar he fancies himself as (anymore at least). He gave Stewie and Chris herpes because he didn't want to admit he had it even though he absolutely has the common sense to know that at least Stewie would put it together and make it worse for him than if he just came clean. He also lied to Stewie's face about his play being crap out of petty jealousy just because he couldn't tolerate someone being legitimately better than him, and then guilted him about with this pathetic sob story about how unfair it is that Stewie outdid him as an infant and how he'll be dead soon. He not only lies about caring for women beyond their bodies but horribly mistreats them, like the time he secretly took newds of a blind girl, or the time he got caught "exploring his body" in the office while looking at a picture of his coworker crying at a funeral and then plants drugs to get her arrested before she can tell HR. The Lois thing, Peter just covered and it is just so shameless and despicable that it speaks for itself.
@@metanightmare4454 holy shit. I mean, I knew about the herpes thing, the play that Stevie wrote, and that he was attracted to Lois. But the coworker thing?! Jesus Christ…
@@jaybomb5638 least the simpsons still has stuff going for it. Family guy just latches onto anything slightly relevant like a leech and just beats it over the head to death. The simpsons is still that good kind of family funny. Meanwhile family guy just wants to die
@@supanerdreviews4056 What's even more hilarious is that Family Guy recently used very old Gif Memes for a cutaway joke...... in the new freaking season

I want an episode Brain time travels by himself to the past and he sees how much better he was back then. Cause like. The difference between then and now for him is a biggggg leap
I don't think anyone in this comment section actually seen the episode. Peter and Quagmire accidentally swapped underwear causing them to switch their personalities. The stuff that Peter said was hardly his own opinion on Brian, just Quagmire's. I really wish people would just watch the episode instead of just parroting other's opinions. 🙄
@@farcicalgaminghd2169 Even then he's still more tolerable than the others at this point. At least in this season, so far. Even Stewie is getting annoying with the Doug BS.
Quagmire critisises Brian but Quagmire isn't exactly a realistic character. Single man who sleeps around but also happens to be a pilot. That's totally not your typical pilot. It would be more realistic if Quagmire lived in a small apartment and worked a low paid job at a factory somewhere. He's only able to critisise Brian because Brian is a realistic character while he isn't. Quagmire has got a house as well, and he didn't inherit it because his dad isn't dead. So he has a professional career that is VERY hard to get into, AND he owns a house with several bedrooms.
@@bnoel12345 I forgot to mention that every single human girl Dave's him but half of the girls and town has either dated or had intercourse with Brian who's a dog
Let's all be honest here, Peter has done some terrible things before, not only that but Brian doesn't even want to be with Lois anymore. So Peter calling out on Brian is kinda hypocritical considering that Peter has done worst to Lois. Oh and call Lois an Angel is like saying Stewie never cursed before.
I agree because both quagmire and Peter are worse that Brian which gives them no right to belittle Brian so I believe if Brian should get ridiculed it be by other character s ( preferably skip Lois the Fallen Angel)
“You accept food clothing and Shelter yet no responsibilities.” Yeah, remember when he got a job to support the family when everyone thought you were dead, Peter? Also, what clothing?
If I remember correctly this kinda comes out of nowhere in the episode. Like oh wow Peter is really calling Brian out, then the next scene it’s like it never happens
@@officialanneboonchuy180 Honestly though, except for the ''hitting on his wife'' thing, his complaints feel a little hollow. Of course he accepts food, shelter, and clothing(?) from you Peter. He's your pet. That's literally how having pets works.
@@Robert-hz9bj Not to mention that Brian has never actually actively hit on Lois except a few times. He's been shown more times to be conflicted about having feelings for Lois than he has been hitting on her. That might change since Brian's been devolved into a douchebag, but yeah.
@@nbanks9489 Funny enough, with this one episode where Louis gone a midlife crisis. Brian doesn't like the hearing of both Peter and Louis banging each other in the laundry room. Which it shows that "he's into her but not while she is doing the other guy".

Tbh the only person who has ever given a valid one was Stewie and Chris (kind of). And maybe Meg if she was slightly more relevant in the show. Everyone else is hypocritical, even Lois is when she calls Brian out on his BS.
The reason it feels like a diet Quagmire speech is because that is quagmire. Apparently they swapped bodies in this episode. Honestly it makes sense. Despite their changes over the years, they surprisingly keep their characters consistent, unless a random plot thread does so.
Ok, the ONLY person I see having a right call brian out is Stewie, Quagmire & Peter(in this episode's circumstance) in general are shitier than Brian, yet they talk down to him like they're better than him. Despite they've done worse than him for seasons. Stewie has called brian out in the past, but at least when Stewie does it, it's done more like a friend telling you to "get your shit together" Quagmire does to express his belief that he's a better person than Brian because he admits he's a terrible person yet does nothing to fix his personality
Quagmire's a much worse person than Brian. Just reminding yall, in one of the early show gags, he raped a child. Not like statutory, but forcible rape. His reaction to seeing a teenage girl tied up was "Dear diary, jackpot." And he also did statutory rape, too. And he's purchased sex slaves, spread STD's knowingly, not to mention all the theft of services, casual violence, also trying to nail Lois constantly, and so on. Brian isn't the greatest, but the Griffins have always invited him to live with him and imposed no duty on top. He's a little bit pretentious, but next to the general sprees of violence and depravity most of the other core cast gets up to, he's not really any worse than someone with lax morals but who isn't actively malevolent. He loves to drink and screw, just like every other guy out there.
@@Mortablunt Which Quagmire tone down quite a lot after he had been married to Lois (in an altered timeline as seen "Meet the Quagmires"). And another for "Gigity no doubt".
Okay Peter Griffin your wife Lois Griffin is very far from an angel, after seeing past Family Guy episodes. But that's good that you still have faith in your dysfunctional marriage...
1. Correction, you are the only one that said "the" in that specific sentence Peter, not Brian. 2. Despite the current episodes, I want to say that Brian is more responsible than you are. 3. The fact that he wants to sleep with Lois is proof that he is more of a husband to her than you are. You say that she is an angel but, in actuality the woman is an absolute !@#$%.
