In this casual commander/EDH game, we put Ratadrabik of Urborg against Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth and Kagha, Shadow Archdruid. Decklist: www.moxfield.c... Discord Group: / discord
Amazing! Although, I think things would have gone differently if Kozilek had attacked Imoti then you. Not sure why they both thought the Kagha player was a threat.
Would have went very differently. Personally, i would have targeted the Imoti player first with the annihilator 4, as those type of big mana decks can get out of hand very quickly. Luckily, we flew under the radar just enough to get into a dominant position.
so i built a simic Clone deck and everyone was upsetti spaghetti simic clones Op and i was like ok ill do Orzov clones next, i built Rata and they now hate that deck >.
great game, I believe there were two turns you couldve attacked with 1-eye and then done his shenanigans main phase 2 after some free damage since he has horsemanship.
Your right, i definitely could have. But being a little behind, I didn't want to draw the attention of the other players and it seemed to pay off this game. As an example, the removal from the Imoti player on the Kagha player's two lands was because they targeted their commander.
And still so underrated, but that just means Rata players like us get to have all the fun ;) Can't wait to see what the new Elesh Norn will be like, I'm sure it'll be a strong addition to the deck :)
@@casual_commander Def underrated. It’s amazing how many tokens can be created without any doublers. Anointed Procession is crazy here. Can’t wait for the new Elesh Norn as well.
When I build my decks, I try to set them up to be good against as many decks as it can. While contamination can pull a lot of weight in many situations, I don't like the idea of another 2 color or less black deck playing through it just fine. In addition, some decks that get a lot of their ramp through artifacts or mana dorks can break through the lock, making the card less good in those situations. For example, my monogreen Yeva deck would still get enough green mana through its dorks and my blue Memnarch artifact deck runs plenty of rocks producing blue.
@@casual_commander another card that I haven't seen that can turn the table over is Blade of selves. Just one attack with the commander and you create 9 Copy of him, and that work on everything else if you have the Commander on the Battlefield
This one has been on my sideboard since i first built the deck. Its really just the high equip cost plus needing to go to combat to trigger it that has made me hesitate in including it. That and casting it without equipping it the same turn is a big red flag for your opponents and very telegraphed. But then again, making 4 copies on the first swing is very tempting, so I'm going to be testing it to see if it makes the cut. Just have to make sure the highs aren't outnumbered by the lows.
