I was in Poland this past October. I’m dead set on moving to Poland permanently. It’s gorgeous, clean and everyone (with a few exceptions of course) is very courteous . I went to every city mentioned here and tried everything mentioned here. Loved it to bits! Coming back 2024!

The only country I have ever been to, where you dont need to watch your back or cross the street because of some unsavory characters! Warsaw, Krakow and Lublin, all great towns!

According to Wikipedia The first milk bar, called "Mleczarnia Nadświdrzańska," was established in 1896 in Warsaw by Stanisław Dłużewski, a member of the Polish landed gentry.[2][3] Although the typical bar mleczny had a menu based on dairy items, these establishments generally also served other, non-dairy traditional Polish dishes as well. I'm German, and my Family are expellees from Breslau and Neisse. Now Wroclaw and Nysa. I visited them a few years ago, my beautiful homeland.

It’s the same for us visiting Lviv or Vilnius. Hard reality is that Wroclaw was a Slavic city founded by Moravians and then slowly Germanized. Same for Stettin founded by Pomeranians a Slavic tribe. This cities are in a right ownership. Their original names means something in Slavic. Of course you can’t deny that there were in Germany or under heavy German influence for centuries. I feel sorry for your family being moved from their home but my family has also been too.
