First they came for the Communist, I did not stand for them Because I was not a Communist Then they came for the Liberals I did not stand for them Because I was not a liberal Then they came for the Jews I did not stand for them Because I was not a Jew Finally they came for me And No one stood for me! If you do not stand for injustice Injustice will bring your fall.
It is puzzling, if votes are everything, that DMK is not afraid of losing Dalit votes who form a substantial percentage of TN population. This is not explained properly by Mani who otherwise has done an excellent job of plainspeaking in the matter. Narayanan of TN Brahmin Sangam used to say that Dalits and Brahmins are the only sections of the society to suffer because of the attitude and actions of DMK.
