@@Dauriacosta and as I have upped quality of editing and graphics and voice overs my time to produce has increased. It’s now many many hours to make a video… like 8 to 10 hours production. Good thing this is a hobby and not a job. Monetized at least so getting something back to invest back into the channel.
Just a mindset thing don't keep raising expectations on yourself because of one success that will just cause this problem and you will end up doing worse and I longer doing it for the love but to on up yourself and it will fail, have no link or expectation to previous success or failure, simply continue as you have been with care and passion instead of trying hard and you will grow faster, bas videos do food because people can sense the care and compassion, putting pressure on yourself will destroy that and people will sense it, mindset so important
@@videohcreator I agree with this, definitely not with the original comment. There is plenty of real people with honest expressions having 20 views per video for years. Nobody cares. Meanwhile Dr. Disrespect, MrBeast, fake pranks, IRL harassers, clickbaiters, fake YT/Tiktok tips - all million sub channels. But I understand that we all live in our own bubble and each YT homepage recommends different content, so I don't judge you opinion.
This is literally gold. I couldn't agree more. I've spent the last 5 years building 3 YT channels and the only videos that have been caught by the algorithm and still have success today are videos where I didn't put any production effort at all, didn't care about thumbnail, just recorded and uploaded. It's just awesome 😆
Same here it’s amazing how the most honest videos with the least editing connects with the audience and gets more subs from people that will watch more of your content and those are very valuable people to have as subscribers. Never give up everyone keep making videos.
Started my channel a week ago after procrastinating and watching “How to start your channel “ for the last year. I reached a point where I just started, and just hope with each video I make they get better. Its the only way to learn, by getting the experience
The only way to get better at making videos is by making videos. Simple. Each time you will refine your craft and one day it will be exceptional. Even then you will still see areas that could be improved on. Lol
I say as a small creator the best thing I ever did was post my first video! Yes it will probably suck but it's like starting a new job or learning a new skill. POST and learn from your mistakes! Everything takes time to get better. Most channels fail because people give up too easy! This is hard for a reason. There is no such thing as a bad video. Just keep posting and you will grow 💪 You will never make everyone happy. Just go for it and you will get better!! Good luck!! In the past I had the highest daily view 19655 and lowest daily view 1800. Since 18th July 2024, the highest daily view is less than 200 and lowest daily view is less than 15. My channel has 1851 videos and 763 Subscribers, but less than 15 views per day. Zero short feeding. Zero Subscribers. has RU-vid put restrictions on my channel, on my long videos and my shorts? . What is wrong? . What should I do? . My channel never had a strike and never had a no warning . I cannot contact RU-vid. I am not a part of RU-vid Partners Program. Could you please help me to take down restrictions from my channel, my videos and my shorts?. Could you please help me to restore the shorts feeding?. Thank you so much ...

I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).
Powerful Message! I call it "Redefining Failure". Your View/Subscriber Count is not your metric. You posting every day/week for a certain timeframe is the goal. If you were successful in posting, you "succeeded". The View/Subscriber count is just a metric to help show what the audience likes.
This hits home so much today... after only consuming content on "How to do a RU-vid video" I finally got my sh*t together and just posted my first video today. I’m working on my first short film as I’m becoming a film maker and I’ve been learning that I’ll still need to make other videos along the way to connect and engage with my audience along the way so that when it’s time to release my film there will be some people invested in watching it 😁. I realize these videos along the way won’t be nearly as good as the film I’m working on 🤷🏼♀️ thankyou for validating this
I haven’t posted in a long time and every time I watch a video like this! Makes me just want to jump in back. I had to learn everything about content creation which took tons of research to get my video the style I wanted. I appreciate you bro!
I have my share of "bad" videos. But I get good watch time. Getting past the subscriber threshold is the hard part for me, since my niche is not returnable content. But my comments and watch time show me I'm helping people and that brings me joy!
I have had a channel for 11 years. Cars, real estate, and guns. My videos get very few views. Even having had a Ferrari and a Lamboorghini, and still not much growth with 150 videos.
I’m new to RU-vid and really am learning everything from scratch, I stopped waiting for the right time and perfection and just decided to step out the boat and post and give from there. I have been consistent and try not to overthink it too much.
True bad videos are really subjective and sometimes the simple to make are the ones thats getting more views. The most viewed videos on my channel are the simple ones and faceless.
This makes me feel better. My first two videos, I’m probably harder on than anyone else is. And it can be hard posting it when you know it’s not perfect….. but at least I got started and got two under my belt. #KeepPushing
I love this! I have followed/watched you on that other place but could never make the time to edit. I am now just turning on the camera and only removing background noise .we all have value to someone we have our own community.

Its really hard to create reaction videos with simple editing for us, but this gives us a great idea to post our "Progress and Thank you" videos for our subs in this format. I needed this video. I wanted to post a video of sharing my journey as a small creator and how to change my life but thought it wasn’t good enough. I was close to deleting it
I totally agree with the "get started and post and views and subs will come as you get better and improve doing the reps" strategy, but using your own videos as examples of this, and as examples of "bad videos" isn't really relatable or relevant at all given your "unfair advantage" as a known personality going solo ;) The only thing some of these examples show, like the one "without a thumbnail" (as in not making a "proper" thumbnail) is that if you utilize the "unfair advantage" of being a known person in the space you are making videos for thumbnails and to some extent titles doesn't really matter as much anymore for getting a certain amount of views. Having just started properly making videos 6 months ago, a couple of them have reached 6k and 8k views, and I'm closing in on being 1/3 of the way in watch time hours and close to half way in subs for monetiziation - but there is a *clear* difference in views and hours watched between my hardware videos and the "weirder" ones where I build all my studio gear from cardboard and scraps. The hardware videos getting traction from being relevant and have a large potential viewer pool, while the more odd videos I make clearly has a much smaller potential audience. They *all* contribute to the subs and watch time hours of course, some much more than others. But none of them are even close to getting the hours and views and +subs counts of your "bad" videos - which only goes to show that it's not the practice of making bad videos in and of it self that's important, but for growth the topics and contents and substance is key, no matter if the video is bad or not. So this focus on "bad" or not videos is really not helping anything unless it's followed up by an even bigger focus on "make interesting content". The problem is a lot of people seem to parrot this "make bad videos" without including the "with GOOD CONTENT" part, which results in bad videos with bad or no content of value at all, which creates so much noise over time. So *good content* is what will make a small channel grow, regardless of the *production quality* of the videos, not "bad" videos in generall, and this is what often gets lost in these videos :)

Two things one posting on a regular consistent basis and getting better at the craft of RU-vid is a very good thing to do for the long term. My videos of a year ago make me cringe. That said my top advice for people who want to start in RU-vid is to post, post, post. 2. You posting on a new channel the algorithm already knows who you are because of Google ad sense and your new channel is tied to your old channel so you’re going to get a lot more views because they already know who you are and will automatically give you more impressions leading to more views. That’s why I find this kind of stuff to be disingenuous.

Lets get our 1k subs and 4k watch hrs by liking and commenting under this post😊 we all can do it!! Lets not give up on our channel. We all can still turn the table before the end of this year.
I spent probably a week making my first video 20 views, make simple video with calculations hitt 2k views cause it exedently trended that day...RU-vid is Messing with small youtubers minds. I tell you, and seeing subs go up/down is a mental game

Thanks Nolan for making this video! I literally posted a "bad" video a few months ago. The auto focus on my camera made my face look blurry on the video. Despite this I still got a lot of views, likes and even some subscribers for the "bad" video I made

I believe people’s fear is that if they post a bad video which doesn’t perform well than RU-vid will stop recommending their channel to people.. so what’s the solution with that case..?
I’ve been here for over 2 years and I’ve only just hit my first 1K subs. I struggle to hit 50-150 views per video usually and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I don’t have any fancy equipment (or space for such) so it’s just me and my phone sat on a broken tripod, but passionate and with a love for what I do! I’ve got a new video going up in a couple hours and it’s so hard as when I’m so passionate about my messages and I finally feel proud of myself, nobody sees them! But I will keep going, I can’t quit on something I love so much ❤
Micro channel here - 2 weeks old and under 30 subs. Views, from the teens to under 40 views per video. I see some channels the same age as mine that have subs in the hundreds - No idea how. And some channels that have been around for years that have 5 subs. Hoping my little channel grows!! My first few videos, I was getting to know the software, getting to know how to relay my message, etc. I want to create short but info packed videos that are not overwhelming. Some videos are way too long with unnecessary filler, and I didn't want mine to be like that.

Also don't let negative comments dissuade you. 12 years ago I had lots of great ideas and fun with making edits to Sopranos tv show, but I got way too much negative feedback and the only two videos people liked were just clips from the show with no edits. So I stopped with Sopranos and ultimately just gave up making anything and found some new thing to pass my free time. That was back then, but now when I look back at those videos there is a new interest in Sopranos, and the community now seem to finally appreciate that I did something different than just upload a clip and feedback is mostly positive. In retrospect, I wish I carried on with my ideas and put out more fun edits.

I noticed that too not just with the video quality but also with SEO stuff , for example videos I barely even cared to put keywords performed way better than the videos I optimized with keywords
I started a new channel and I actually have 40 subscribers I am not even showing my face just posting and learning as I go! Even getting engagements. I started it last week. If I keep going I should be monetized before October!!

So i have bad videos 😂 and no subscribers, and I've been doing this on and off then just delete everything out of embarrassment,but i recently realized that if i had been consistent,even if no one was watching, i would have learnt some skills, and this time around i won't delete and i won't stop, for me it's hard to figure out angles and formats, and talking is not my forte,i physically get drained from talking and if i hadn't given up before i think i would have figired out what works for me
The ADHD struggle is real. I’ve started so many channels only to drop them 2 weeks later. Even right now I’m in the hyper fixation phase for a new channel. I’ve done pages and pages of research, niche exploration, thumbnail designs, etc and haven’t posted a single video lol
Yeah tet srick with something you are most passionate about, that toi are doing research tells me it's something that you are maybe not familair with and are trying to choose a niche for the wrong reasons, that you may not naturally be good at, best to go back to or stick with your biggest passion and interest
I think I have ADHD also 😅 I started this channel and it was performing good and somehow I end up switching my focus and creating different channels and focusing on them, just to do something NEW. It's a really bad habit, but at least this time I stayed within RU-vid, usually I jump from thing to thing.. Help...
