My theory about Prince death was over when his plane made an emergency landing when he was unconscious and the plane landed. That's when Prince was taken off the scene, but it was dragged out another week when the doctor son went to Paisley Park and "supposed" to have found him deceased. Why is BS!!! Remember Prince telling his fans to hold on to their prayers. Why would he state that? Very thin when authorities didn't look at his "death" as a homicide. With a celebrity high profiled as Prince so law enforcement would just act nonchalant about his death. Authorities would not find it imperative a man supposed died from fentanyl, a drug we all know kills, but let them investigate a regular drug dealer and they want to give that person Life w/o parole. Given the content of the video... I don't really see what it has the title it has. Prince's physical death was accidental. If you are saying he had a financial death... that lasted a few years... upto 10 albums that was on that "$100 million" contract, ok... but he survived that... and had a lucrative career after that. At least that's the conclusion folks who valuate his estate came to. I think he made multiple times on touring what he made from album sales... but I don't have any real data to back that up.
More than likely, what Prince talked about in this video concerning his record deal with Warner Bros., and the fact that they owned the rights to his recordings "mastered" and released by them, eventually led to his proclamation of the death of "PRINCE" (1958-1993) on his 1994 Come album. The album would be Prince's final Warner Bros. album under his name in that period. For the remainder of his con-tract with the company, his name would be represented by the "Love Symbol," and he would be referred to as "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince." WB didn't own the rights to any recordings Prince made as the "Love Symbol" since his con-tract was made with his strawman, "PRINCE." It was a legal loophole to circumvent the claws of WB.

This may not be a popular opinion but as a Chronic Pain Patient I know the stigma and loss of control Prince would have faced if he had pursued treatment for the pain he was in. I believe he did plan to check out if his self medicating for pain became public. He gave us everything! Rest well Prince ☮️💜

Anyone who claims that Prince planned his death needs to go talk to Larry Graham. In his last years there was no one who was a closer, more trusted confidant to Prince than Larry Graham. For them to see the Jersey Shore as an appropriate location is just very typical of how white American can't help but to see people who aren't white. Also, it's just super interesting how record contracts purport to want to efficiency but then spend a million dollars to make 1,001,000, still never consulting the artist first and foremost.
This was great to watch the underlining of the business side. The music industry is complex but you have to get proper representation. His success wasn't based on talent alone. He had awesome management. They probably felt disrespected after he turned on them. The record company has really supported Prince I understood that ownership is imperative for self reliance. He owned 100% of his publishing. I remember noticing on the records the Controversy Publishing. I was studying all of that because of my interest in the industry. I knew back in the 80s. I was going to be in the creative space for my occupation. So hearing this was quite lethargic for me. Hearing how he was with Carmen Electra who in my opinion other than her dancing was quite mediocre. He invested in his Girlfriends a lot. The only one that really impacted was Vanity. Everything that followed after that beside The Time with Morris Day was only trying to keep up. Paisley Park label could've been so much more. I guess once you are in that Matrix. You have to find a way to just exist.
Why didn’t Prince release his on records and press them and deliver them to the stores and pay for all the advertising, videos , photo shoots, etc. it sounds like he wants to bite the hand that feeds him. As I recall he tried to do it on his own and failed miserably. Screwed his fans and didn’t deliver nothing on time. Great musician and performer but I don’t see much business sense in him. He wanted all the money even though WB backed him and made him mega rich. Prince was just a musical pimp. Used to like him but now I see he was arrogant, silly, talented in music, but couldn’t act his way out of a paper bag. Also seemed to use people who obviously wanted to be used.

My advice to you as one of your avid viewers an subscribers from the beginning?: Please, steer clear of that; please don't stoop down low like that. As stellar as your work is, there is absolutely no reason for you to be compromising your artistic integrity. As a fan of prince you know that prince used the death narrative to free himself of the Warner contract. the come album had birth and death dates, he had a press conference to say prince was dead. he held a first birthday party in Miami in 1994. he literally buried himself then threw dirt on his own grave in the closing scene of 3 chains o gold. there was a headstone. I'm not mad or disappointed. When this series gets up to the actual death, I'll be interested in hearing/seeing what they put together. Hopefully they will learn the truth of Prince’s struggle to claim his intellectual property. Prince was criticized for writing slave on his face. Overkill? Maybe, but I think history has proven him prophetic. His death and rebirth narrative is read alongside the slave analogy. Powerful words that go to the heart of transformation.
