You're actually such a grinder bro. I remember being so sad when you said you were gonna quit making Fortnite content because you didn't get re-signed to the broadcast. But then, you came back, and you've been cooking up bangers ever since. You the man 💯🔥
This is such a great video not just for fortnite, but can be applied to many competitive things outside of fortnite, like sports. I personally play high school baseball at a pretty competitive level, and I get burnt out so much. This video teaches us that we need to surround ourself with positive teammates who would motivate you rather than insult you. It teaches us to set smaller goals leading to the bigger goal, helping us keep motivation and positivity during the journey. It teaches us to not let things we can’t control get in the way, for example, I really want my teammate to get on base or to not get out, yet he gets out, I have to just let it go. This video also teaches us values we need to set for ourselves and to have discipline to do the things we don’t want to do (boring practice), and just do them if we really want to improve. Lastly, this video teaches us that the quality of practice is better than the quantity. At the end of the day, being tired will get you more poor results, while even spending less time and focusing more on the smaller aspects that need to be improved is much more useful. Thank you for this wonderful vid!
This video is good. I don't play Fortnite, but recently, I've had a couple of exams I'm preparing for, and I'm so behind. It's not my fault that I'm behind. I'm self taught. I don't go to school anyway. The part about control really got to me. I felt I was out of control. Trying to learn 5 topics in a day, while other people could learn it in 6 months, and I would end up learning nothing. I was getting tired and angry. Even when I wasn't studying, my days felt terrible. I was easily irritated by small things, and just didn't have a will to do anything. I didn't find anything fun, unless it would take my mind of the exams, and even after, I would feel worse because I felt like I was just wasting more time. I'm doing better now, and working towards the exams. Hopefully, by the grace of God, I get the results I am praying for. Thank you
You hit the money when you talked about holding yourself accountable for your actions. I do this daily with streaming if I die to some "bullshit" I simply figure out what I could have done differently. This is really good for the mental!!! Thank you for an awesome video!
The "just grind" mentality that the fortnite community has is terrible and is the main cause of burnout. You will get way more out of 4 hours a day of proper practice with full focus and targeting areas for improvement rather than simply "grinding" the game for 12 hours a day.
god i was not expecting this type of video, as a fellow Fortnite creator, who basically uploads like there are fulltime, and does everything themselves while working a 60 hour job outside of youtube. Everything in this video was not only helpful but incredibly relatable great vidoe like always Reisshub
Reisshub just casually dropping the greatest productivity/life advice video and the main topic is Fortnite. I’m baffled, what a GOAT. No seriously, this video solos
Riess, this video came out at the right time for me! I’ve been wondering why I’ve not been improving when playing hours and hours a day, you explained this brilliantly! And last week I took a few days off and when I came back I was feeling really good and I was playing really well. But now I feel way worse since I’ve been playing the past few days. I love your videos riess!!
I compete in Pokemon and I recently lost the biggest bss tournament of the year to an upset and have been feeling super down about it, while this was mainly fortnite focused it reminded me to take a look at my practice routines and make sure I’m not overworking myself again. Thank you :)
If you're being paid to play it, of course you're gonna take it seriously, there's actual money on the line at all times. That's like saying that you shouldn't take your job seriously because it's not that important to have food, water, and shelter
Bro your video helped me a lot, not only in fortnite but in general. I definitly feel burned out if im studying 10h a day 3 days before the exams . So i have to improve my timemanagement
this a great video , alot of this stuff is so true not just fortnite but in life in general , i also been working on the best productivity balance without fully burning out
Im going through a burnout rn mainly because it like chapter 3 season 1 again with everyone using the frenzy shotgun but even past all that i like how you have made my burnout right now not so bad. Thank you Reisshub
the thing that demotivates me most is my conflict from getting better at the game and playing for fun with friends. its demotivating when the friends you are better then kills you in creative. it feels like you are getting worse
this video isn't just applicable to fortnite but other games in other genres, these tips can also help with fighting games which ive been following for a while
This is a great video I used to love Apex legends but I ended up having a goal to hit a 20 bomb and 4K badge on a legend (it’s not the easiest now) but I would play 8 hours a day try only to now give up and move to fortnite but I now play for fun or mess about with my cousin I haven’t played Alex in atleast a year have 2 heirlooms and have spent quite a bit of money but I don’t even miss it and I find it quite sad but W video❤
im 16 and i stream only have around 800 earnings and im burning our right now, i cant motivate myself to even play ranked bc im keep dying to other players that i know are 10x worse than me. I want to make this my profession, because this is my dream job, but burnouts are a serious thing. This video helped me, thank you Reisshub and much love.
As a fortnite player, this is insanely true, I started playing in chapter 3 season 1 and by chapter 4 season 3, I took a break basically from then until OG.
im washed so I switched over to minecraft content whilst playing fortnite with my friends, going outside and playing basketball, and grinding money on GTA, and so I wont be burnt out for a few days since i used to play 8 hours a day for the last 3-4 years now I just don't even feel the need to play fortnite. So this helps out a lot. Thank you man this has helped me a lot the last few days.
Losing your mind because you died in a way that wasn't your fault can easily be fixed by watchin the tape back in your, your opponent and free drone perspective and seeing that you indeed messed up and how you can fix it. It can shorten the amount of time you're tilted and pissed if you are honest with yourself. I often catch myself halfway and force myself to the replay only to be like "ah...ok I see....I messed up".
Wish i found the video 2 seasons ago. Played so much in C4 S3 and C4 S4 & Fully burnt myself out trying to get back into the game for c5 after taking the og season off still feeling burnout and not having fun
i agree, i played 700 hrs in 3 months and barely had any motivation and progress, then i wasnt able to play for 3,5 weeks due to my ps5 being repaired and i was way better than before with no warmup, it was insane
ive been improving in fortnite but it gets boring sometimes so i have a secondary game that i also play and grind on the side this helps me not get tired of fortnite because i take breaks whenever it starts getting boring.
Me and my teammate almost qualified for the 2nd round of a tournament but like you said I’m in OCE so we died to hackers twice they ended up getting banned the next day though
Didn't Fortnite add three game modes to combat burnout in their regular BR and Creative modes? Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. If you're getting tired of playing BR and 1v1s, why not try and learn how to drift chain in RR, or how to make a good village in LFN?
As a Fortnite sweat, I find non combat game modes quite boring. If I'm burnt out on fortnite, I'll just hop on a different shooter rather than the racing gamemode.
@@nolabiiyeah I don’t like games that aren’t competitive aswell. If I get tired of Fortnite I might just play some destiny 2 or something similar since it is also competitive.
Yeah this happened to me a little while back. I started playing in ch2s1 and played fortnite basically non stop until ch3s4. It was a combination of both having played nothing else for 2 1/2 years and I think that was around when Splatoon 3 came out. I took a break for a solid year almost playing very little chapter 4 until season 4. (Although looking back, I am pissed at myself for missing ch4s2 that season looked dope as hell.) ch4s4 brought be back with returning mythics like the mk seven or the midas drum gun. I am back to playing a lot more since I love ch5 but it did happen and I needed a break. So yeah it does happen to casuals.
Japanese korean players currently have an extremely unfair ping advantage against other asian players, fortnite used to have Singaporean servers, but then REMOVED IT for MIDDLE EAST and now, majority of asian players ping went from 10-20 to now 70-90. I literally still dont understand why Fortnite couldn't just add a server in Singapore, apex has one, csgo has one, warzone has one, valorant has one, Why cant fortnite? There are many players who have potential that are from south east asia but are always beaten by japanese and Korean players thanks to their ping advantage. Every player i encountered has always phased in our walls or take our walls, its not just me, its many other players whose ping are now 70-90 Its been 4 years. I hope this year they would add Singaporean servers back.
The NAC servers are killers for me. I live in the complete other side of America. Basically in Canada. I’m about 80 ping and it’s just terrible the shouldn’t have combined easy and west
Literally, I don't even live in America nor canada my MS on Nac is 85+. sad part about it I almost got earnings in the first ever solo victory cup but died because a dude shockwaved up and he sprayed downed into my box and we both died to fall dmg. In all this I was holding my floor, wall and stairs trying to get something to place and nothing placed. Shit was mad annoying because the last kid were drones@@JAeiSWILD
I can sort of tell when the game wants me to take a small break or slow down. I'd be doing really well in normal Zero Build, just having fun and stuff when all of a sudden, I'm constantly ambushed, sniped, and really close calls that I lose because I got unlucky or do something dumb. I'm guessing this relates to when pros will drop into the game near the middle and end of a season to catch up on quests but idk.
