Audi Power - Why Quattro? That's why! 👏 You Must Watch This 👀 👌 By Audi Power "Tous les droits sont détenus par l'auteur : Audi Power, Je ne suis pas le propriétaire et toute atteinte aux droits d'auteur n'est pas intentionnelle"
My daughter purchased her first Audi Quattro 2 days ago. Being the car enthusiast I took it out for the day yesterday and was quite amazed at the handling and torque this beast gives out!! Light touch to the brakes something easy to get used to, power steering wheel, definitely delivers all the bells and whistles!! I thought this vehicle to be just a city car, definitely have my sights on it for myself.
Well that’s funny cause Audi has made a Quattro car in like 45 years, they do put the Quattro all wheel drive in most/all of there cars (all new ones) so you could’ve driven any car that just had Quattro..
That tow truck is not really meant for towing. It is rear wheel drive with no weight on the rear axel.. but sure, for 90% of the people that is a major flex!
well from experience that sprinter with dual wheels on rear no weight on the car with a trailer behind going up a snowy hill. that thing does not like to go even on flat cos no traction on rear wheels, dual wheel sprinters do have a mechanical axle lock, but that does not always help. i do own a audi a6 2014 myself, its amazing on winter.
I like Audi and I think this video is ridiculous and really make haters think that Audi drivers are just retards which put themself in hillarous impossible situations. Don't be a basic fanboy, those situations are just a joke.
+Rainer Gahlmund Audi, is a good car. But Quattro today is far from the best when it comes to 4WD systems . . . This video was actually quite bad demo of Quattro. Traditional Quattro is based on torsen differentials on the axles. Torsen is not really ideal for slow off road driving, but it is at its best at faster driving.
Well if your talking about the car I don't hate it but I just got an Audi for a project car and took it to the dealership nearest to me and they were such slimy bullshitting ass holes, so I decided that I would take the codes that you cannot get with standard software (the dealership has to read the codes) and get the hell outa there before I was in debt
@@rurrochman all quattro cars including 4matic xdrive are all good cars, if you have advanced traction control like land rover range rover or electronic diff lock like vw tuareg and some audi Q7 and other Audi cars , you got upper hand when it comes to off roading vs all wheel drive cars dont have any ..dont even compare to other off roading vehicles such as suzuki Grand vitara toyota land cruiser Mitsubishi etc with tansfer gearbox central diff lsd and proper diff lock. When it comes fast cars in dry weather Bmw beats audi any day quattro or not quattro SUV hatch saloon sport you name it .. not to mention that tyres are big factor when you go off roading snow cold mud.. hope this answers you questions.. dont even think about it to compare g class vs Q7 Q8 or Q10 for capabilities to go off roading .. You get strap man
There is not "one quattro" system, most cars use different systems, some can lock one diff, some dont, some have electronic brake integration, some are frontwheeldrive with optional haldex coupling to the rear etc. - so some are quite capable offroad (Q7, for example) and some are really basic and wont do anything if you put one wheel on an ice sheet (A3) - there is nothing "mystical" about quattro, and many other manufcaturers use similar systems. stop the bashing or the hype, just learn the technical stuff behind the name please ;) btw: who drives an A6 offroad like that?
Could not of said it better myself and notice they was all new ish models also as the older ones were quite poor less you get old 90s ones they was great.. like you said unless you get the high end stuff there not all that
yeah, i had a a6 c6 quattro v6 before, just for fun, tried it out on a frozen lake, went pretty good on the straights, but the turns where crap, just wanted to do sad fwd stuff. Then i broke a driveshaft, couldnt even get of the frozen lake, just wanted to rotate the broken shaft, had to be towed home, sold it adter that because i was so dissapointed of the blessed quattro system... now, like 15 years later i bought another quattro b6 a4, will se how that handles the ice in the winter..
@@dan.roberts VAG cars break a lot and they lose value much faster than Subaru. My Subaru kept so much value that even after 11 years I could trade it for a used Audi that was worth MUCH more when it was new. Feel free to fact check that.
@@Vertignasse82 Okay but your Subaru wasn't also designed to travel at 120mph for hours at a time. Plus Audi offers no CVTs in their vehicles and literally every new Subaru that isnt a WRX or STI uses a CVT. Have fun replacing that every 40,000 miles. Meanwhile the ZF8 auto in audis will last forever.
Audis: proper vehicles for Century 21. I had an A8 Quattro and it was the only vehicle that could negotiate snow drifts where I lived and worked. The big boss was snowed in and I gave him a lift to the office. He bought an A8.
I have a q7, I like to take whole family to do road trip with it, it is so safe on any weather condition, but I normally rent a 4x4 to do off road. (It is a lot money to repair if something goes wrong, and the 21 inch tyre are just too much $$$$, so I keep it where it belongs to)
So funny how often I see Audi and BMW SUVs wrecked on the side of the road during the winter time. These videos are the vast minority of what actually happens.
Good car doesn’t automatically make the driver good. Luxury SUVs are usually driven by women who could care less about driving but want to flex their $
@@Dudeman9339 my forester xt and sti will do it all day and keep doing it lol 😆 my s4 will go fast a few times then throw a expensive ass check engine light
Omg why would you take a beautiful Audi A6 off road, too nice of a car for that, impressive seeing the SUVs off road though, Audi Q5 is my favourite looking Audi or SQ5 if had the money lol 👌👍
Don't leave home without it (Quattro). Even on my all season tires on the A7 i had no problems going 65mph in heavy snow just passing other slower cars.
About a few decades ago there was robbed a vault with Q7 in Prague when thiefs escaped over a forest where cops couldnt chase them in a regular passenger car.... before helicopter got to the place they were gone...
Have you heard how crappy BMW 4wd is? As much as i love mercedes, everyone knows that Audi Quattro beats BMW, Mercedes and Subaru 4WD any day of the week.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Volkswagen and Audi have the same style of AWD Haldex system? I think even the TSI 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder is the same engine for both make's. Either way great vehicle's, it's nice to see a video of people actually having some fun with what most folk's here in the State's would never think about doing in their fancy Car's/SUV's.
The one you mentioned is indeed Haldex. That is commonly fit onto smaller hatchbacks(Golf, A3) and small SUV such as Q3, Tiguan, Skodas. The real quattro to look after is Torsen (Torque Sensor) which can be found on A4, A5, Q5, Q7. Usually, torsen is fitted on 2L minimum.
I have a Ford Ranger 4X4 and i drive to mountain and crossing a large river with no problem to go to my house, cause i live on a mountain, i'm from mauritius.
My Prius Prime surprised the heck out me when it tore up icy hills last week here in Texas where they don't yet have a concept of a snow plow. All my co-workers were like: "are you from the North?"
I drove a Mercedes until I was 46, but 5 years ago I switched to Audi and bought the second one. I still love Mercedes, but Quattro is a whole different world.
You will buy an Audi A6, pay truck loads of money and drive on a terrain like this? Please please tell me what kind of drugs you are using, I would very much like to reach this state of mind too...
Years ago I bought 2 Audi a4 2.8 Quattros back to back. 1st silver ,2nd money green . Overbuilt cars. I was caught in flood waters and drove one of them in water so high that debris floating in the water cracked my head light but no problems mechanically. The green one went for 235000 miles, strongly, before the fan clutch gave up in bumper to bumper and I "let" the engine overheat for longer than aluminum should be heated up for. My fault. Not the cars. I'm currently judging a BMW for the title Of most solid car I've ever had but it has already fell short of the mark that my Audi's set mechanically so .... It has a few years to go to see if it can redeem itself.
it's the true. Subaru is much more cheaper than Subaru. And Quattro was better in the early days (walter roehrl times). Greetings Germany (home of Audi ^^)
drove a quattro in driving shool. we had to drive a little bit into the snow once because some large digger came. was the most effortless i have ever seen any car get out of such a Situation.
