I recently started playing a bit of Slosher and have been getting consistent 15-9 K/D ratios with only 3 subs of QR, definitely need a bit more and maybe a few subs of Main/Sub Saver (I use a lot of Splat Bomb) but I've been enjoying it a lot. 😄
Another thing about slosher is that it doesn’t have any weaknesses that make it dependent on certain gear. Take Brella for example. It also gets in lots of fights, combos well with other weapons, and would benefit heavily from QR. However Brella is dependent on other abilities like ink saver, swim speed, and run speed. Slosher isn’t very dependent on specific gear so it can afford to dedicate most of its slots to QR.
im not too experienced with this class but doesnt it also trade a lot? pretty sure quick respawn still works if you died first, but you lose it om your next life. Correct me if im wrong
I think it only works if these two things are true: 1. You haven't gotten a kill on the current life 2. You haven't been alive for a relatively long while (maybe around 30 seconds) I could also be wrong though.
Yes, bucket also trades quiet a bit! So, you are correct. You can potentially still get the QR to happen if you meet the conditions as described by Ignis.
Usually Quick Super jump is best used in small amounts (1 or 2 subs) because the more you add the less benefit you get from each extra slot. You can see he is including 2 subs of quick super jump, along with other abilities that are most worth it in small amounts like bomb defense, special saver, and ink resistance. The thing about quick respawn is that it doesn’t really do much in small amounts. You need to either run a lot of it, or none at all.
Slosher is better at initiating fights & given how well it does in fighting multiple people, it will likely take more risks to go in. It also has a sub that allows it to be more aggressive giving you the option to use quick respawn. As for Machine, because of the nerfs to how fast it throws sloshes, the subs it has, there’s not really an incentive to use QR. Machine also has better strafe speed than Slosher so you can help strengthen that difference from machine by investing in movement abilities. In a nutshell, you give the weapon abilities where it highlights their strengths.
