Glad someone is finally talking about this! There is some real shady business going on with some Roblox UGC creators, and I hope Roblox gets it sorted out.

Thanks for bringing this up! UGC has been dog poo lately haha, as if it can't get any worse. Very disappointing to see headpats and possibly more UGC creators slowly devolving in their products just to make a quick buck off of it. I hope no one feels demotivated, as you said in the video, to continue making super cool stuff for the catalog. I feel like once one of the larger UGC creators mentions the whole "UGC sucks ass" situation, I'm pretty sure its getting to the point where its a bit serious.

Extremely good video from someone qualified on the matter. Though i may make a correction. The teapot is a public mesh for everyone to use, it's called "The Utah Teapot" and was even used in an episode of the simpsons.

I'm so glad that someone else agrees with the ugcs and the copyright in the items on the roblox category,plus I love the fact that she calls out the people who uses faces from TV shows, so I'm glad that this video talks about it

Friendly reminder for those who don't know: roblox states that as an UGC creator, u must NOT bypass a replicate of a pre-existing roblox item. Same rule applies for trying to bypass copyrighted content (pokemon, sanrio, etc.).

Your one of the UGC creators that actually produced quality items for everyone to wear. It is getting very annoying to see a fake dominus every 1 second. I hope you keep making UGC items and keep the content going.

Thank you so much for bringing this to light Polar! This has been a huge problem in the UGC community and I have seen even YOUR work being stolen I'm sure you're aware of the flamingo floatie lol. But still you are insanely talented and I really do like this type of content keep it up :)

There has been shady creators making parts of limiteds (ex: sshf) to make the full item. One of my friends has also been a ugc creator for two years now, and is actually very worried about this situation going on. I think it is completely unfair, that these people are being added to the system. It’s also disrespectful to take someone’s original creation (limited or not) and recreate the item and claim it as your own. Which many creators have been doing. I have been seeing items that are the same as premium items that are being taken, recreated and the price is dropped on the item. Roblox needs to fix this situation. Not only to save it from copyright (again) but so that ugc creators like polarclub and many more with original ideas can have the justice they *fully* deserve.

Great video but one thing i want to highlight also as an issue is the blatant copies of one idea, An example is the dark matter hats, wings, and auras that people made. Another example of this behavior from the bad side of ugc is also just taking this same idea of turning everything they see into this one thing it has happen with rainbows, gold, and like I said darkmatter is one of the few things I've seen on ugc. But besides that great video and great representation of the bad side of ugc and telling us more trustworthy creators of the Roblox Platform

My favorite UGC creators are Historia Societas and DevLion, I use them for all of my avatars and they make really detailed and intricate historic helmets, webbing, backpacks and much more.

Whenever I'm looking through the UGC item catalog, I triple check to make sure the thing I want to buy isn't an EXACT replica from someone/something else. I don't want to support the people who aren't being creative and stealing other peoples ideas for profit. I don't encourage that, and I hope this gets fixed soon x_x

I just recently started watching you and joining the fandom but I went through your catalog recently and realised I had already bought like half of it already like throughout the years LOL! I'm glad you talked about people who are actually original and make good UGC items so I know who to spend my money on and it prevents people from supporting the people who rip off stuff

2 years later and 100% agree on the head point, while it's nice to see original faces being made, the amount of miscellaneous anime faces pulled from whatever's popular ticks me off.. I understand people wanting to supply ugc for cosplays but the amount of faces outweighs actual accessories! it makes me especially annoyed now since dungeon meshi has been getting popular: most of the ugc i find is just faces!

finally someone is ACTUALLY talking about this. it’s kind of infuriating because some people work hard making those items (like you) and then some other ugc creator just makes a complete copy.. like the flamingo floatie incident😭😭 tysm for speaking on this roblox is legit in shambles rn

it’s getting EVEN worse now.. somehow o_O. carbon copies of actual items and faces that cost hundreds of thousands of DOLLARS, not even robux, are being sold for a hundred or less- and honestly if stuff like that isn’t being moderated I’m scared for what else is going to be brought to the table and potentially accepted into the catalog, and on top of that, ugc creators are gonna have a worse name than they already do 😪 (i haven’t seen a single video or opinion on the recent items in the marketplace so if this is considered normal.. we’re gonna have a problem)

Roblox UGC basically is like entering the awesome store in Amazing World of Gumball, you find some of the most random shit in there.

I think roblox is the only community driven platform that continuously falls flat in dealing with copyright infringement and just content theft in general. I mean, after all the legal troubles this kind of stuff has gotten them into, they’re surprisingly accepting of the literal doomsday machine on one of their biggest repositories of user made content

it's so sad how obvious it is the people making these hats & faces are JUST doing it for money, i feel like you can tell with the faces especially since they don't even try to make the image fit properly onto the head so it actually looks good I know there are tons of people who *love* dressing as their fav anime characters on roblox(me included) but all these UGC faces and hats just feel so different and much more soulless than the clothes people used to take the time to actually draw because they genuinely cared about the characters (even if making those anime clothes was maybe still copyright infringement?? idk😭)

i personally like some of the items that were talked about in this video like the faces because it allows me to cosplay as my favourite anime characters. i also like other anime-related items like the pochita item because it lets me represent my love for the character/anime. but i understand how its frustrating to see these items sell on the catalog since they do break the rules and are unoriginal.

Wow. just went on roblox to check this out since i dont buy UGC alot, first thing i see is someone selling the Black And White Gradient Head, (idk what called) for 100 more robux, this is really sad since i had that head when UGC first dropped out, and since that head was on best selling for a while. sad to see people steal a item (WITH MORE COLORS) and make so much robux. (the og name is shadowed head but the copy of iy got banned yippi)

Someone literally made a roblox head of Ms. Chalice from cuphead and titled it "Strawberry shake." There is no way in hell studio MDHR aren't gonna sue the creator of the item.

I was looking at recommended items and scrolling down the items I saw some VERY similar items to a video game called genshin impact most of these were hair styles of course because many people like hair styles of anime characters but I still feel as if they just took a photo and copied every last detail of the hair style’s of the video game’s character.. and I have been playing genshin for a while so I recognized how similar they were easily. I feel a little bit disappointed because they could have made a different hairstyle but with the same effort they put into the ones they copied. Also I feel pissed at the fact that not a lot of people are noticing this except for those of us who play, watch or have seen these tv shows or video games. I was really young back then and wanted to be a ugc creator and it was hard to get in because they only used to let a few people in. I gave up and decided to just play roblox. And seeing that LOTS of people just got into ugc and are making these items makes me even more mad. Instead of wasting talent on copying other things they should put their creativity and talent into making their own things… And I’m glad that people are bringing these topics up in their videos like PolarCub, Kreek and many others.

the only bright side is that you can use most of the accessories for cosplays (like the chainsaw head)

To be incredibly honest, a LOT of these faces and UGC items now and just copies. People just want the the money out of already made items. I dint understand why people cant get honest and just be creative or dont make anything at all.

KURISHIU is def a cool underrated ugc creator and game dev! some of the creations can be hard to find because they're collabs but they're really cool and cute and worth checking out!

i remember a few years ago someone uploaded an exact copy of monomi and monokuma from danganronpa on the catalog i dont know how that got past guidelines in the first place☠️

adding on to excellent ugc creators, i really love and appreciate Bad_B0y’s items! their art and product really fall under the realistic category and some items are kind of in the horror category, but still, their art is incredible and they have really mastered the style that they put out.

Honestly haven't seen ugc for a while but I never even knew people did this. I'm kinda disappointed that people do this but I guess they just don't have any ideas, which still isn't ok.

I find that the one pet person you talk to I forgot their name but I feel like they ignored everything you said just because they didn’t want to get caught and wanted to make more money the amount of kids on Roblox just clicking on that and buying it just breaks my heart. This is a really big problem because a bunch of creators are copying each other and UGC‘s have became a big mess. Other creators who are just doing their own thing and making really good stuff get copied, I mean, I’m not much of a person to dog I’m not a part of the Ugc making part of Roblox, but this is a big problem if you read all this thank you 😢
