Hell yeah, I use to run the options all the time. Plus when I played in school if it's run right it's hard to stop! Watch Tommy Fraser and the old Nebraska teams!
This is what i am the most excited for with this game the Variety of playstyles we will be going against...i am mostly a online regs player and this i am hoping will be a breath of fresh air going against all the different play styles
The military academies run the option offense because their average oline is smaller and quicker since they aren’t recruiting the same size olines as Wisconsin or Iowa or Alabama
Running a spread option offense that is multiple, I am with that. I am not running wishbone, flexbone, etc. I also want to run the rpos as well. But I would rather run the spread offense. I am not trying to run the flexbone or wishbone.
Hey man, another good video. Are you planning on doing one about TeamBuilder? I know at one point you were doing videos about the different aspects of the Campus Huddle blog.
The thing about any type of option offense the defense has to play the gaps no matter what you have to do your assignments every single down against and option offense athletic defense will not beat and option offense but a smart defense will.
I’m in my second yr coaching lsu in my dynasty and bama has moved to a flexbone option offense. And man they iigh but we have locked them down. The roster they have is pretty much the ‘23 roster I’m on the revamped mode of ncaa 14
I run single back or pistol offense. My offense is more of run for three throw for first down. I like to grind and march down the field and catch a big play action pass. 4-3 defense with coverage lb. This year i will have a package with safteys at lb.
As the should be it’s a superior offense when ran right teams just went away from it for the spread because there’s more “big” plays. Be that as it may there will be balance you get them 4-5 stars going against 1-3 stars and it won’t be as easy as people think
Really good scheme, im just here to learn how to defend against the RPO seeing as though it will be one of the top playbooks people will be using online in CFB 25
Yes the thing is those smaller schools can gain an leg up running option by controlling the clock and keeping the big schools offense off the field. A great option offense is also a good defense in and of itself
I absolutely will run the option is because of a lack of size, strength and/or speed, hell I've coached against teams who beat the snot out of us when they did have the size strength & speed against us and it's like a blood bath. If the defensive teams are NOT disciplined in their reads and know when to overplay certain plays, its gonna be a wrestling match in a phone booth.
