I am from Rwanda🇷🇼 and this video made me soo happy.. definitely the best Kigali vlog i have seen! We eat dodo with almost everything but i like mixing it with rice also banana beer or wine is quite strong😂. Thank you guys❤️
@@emmanueletuleonuwaeduzolar8579 ohh that's so cool! I wish you a great stay there. What would you like me to tell or help you with? You need basic kinyarwanda to use around ex: when shopping. Sadly if they realise that you don't understand they might charge you more and always bargain. Let me know what to know exactly?
@@opportunechastia2322 I’m tryna find out what it’s gon cost me go get a small apartment and the cost of living there also . If you don’t mind I could get your number pls .
@@emmanueletuleonuwaeduzolar8579 a good small apartment can range from 100$ to 300$ per month based on your preferences the good cost of living here including rent is around 300$ to 1500$ so it's basically your preferences
You two are so lovely 💕 I’m Kenyan 🇰🇪 living & grown up in England 🇬🇧 & I loved your really positive outlook on Rwanda/Africa as a whole. Refreshing to watch the motherland in a positive light ❤️
Hi Oskar and Dan, thank you for visiting my country! Please continue to tell the world about Rwanda. Kigali is awesome, and there is much much more to do! at least on my tours.
WOW!!!! I find it really cool that you guys look to engage in local experiences. That you got a chance to cook some of the local dishes was - AWESOME! I agree with other comments - Thanks for sharing your travels with those of us who have followed you on your flights through the years. Oh, by the way - CONGRATS on your five years together (as noted in a previous video). May many more years together be in front of you.
It’s funny how even the shelves in the grocery store were perfectly organized and clean. Hard to believe they went from genocide 25 years ago, to this, one of the safest and cleanest places in the world.
The food looks amazing!!! I loved that you were able to cook for yourselves and other people as well. That's such an amazing experience!!! I'm loving this channel so far!! Thanks Dan and Oskar for sharing this with us.
This video made me happy and cry thinking about the genocide. I remember meeting a Rwandan family who had escaped the genocide you could see the pain in their eyes.
Africa looks so much like Latin America in terms of infrastructure. Specifically like Mexico which is one of the Latin American countries I’ve been to before. I love going to Mexico. So I’m sure I would love visiting Rwanda too. Lol
i don't understand how just over 25 years after the genocide how rwanda has become one of the safest and fastly developing nations in the world while some african countries have mad little or no progess in the same period
Have you heard about Botswana? Apart from Rwanda, Kenya, Botswana, Tanzania and now Ghana, current African leaders "just don't care". Ex: President of Cameroon was living in Switzerland for a while and is used to appear only 2 times a year on TV (Christmas & New Year wishes... +30 years as president.
Very underrated country This the power of societal brotherhood sentiment If everyone come out as an equal part of the society, and will for change. then any country can do wonders.
Brilliant! Love the fact that you took the time to walk around the town and even down some of the backstreets….wonderful content and storytelling as usual!
I am a cook a food lover ,I love our organic African food n I enjoy every African meal west east south or north our African dishes are the best,Dodo is amaranth in english,
Definitely, live life full-time! Looks like you guys are doing just that. How much fun was that cooking with local products? And the guide is a great idea to not miss anything worth seeing. Thanks for taking me along on your journey! I love this channel!!👍❤️✈️
Fortunate to have recently found your vlog, More fortunate to have explored Rwanda, including paths less followed. I will say, regarding the genocide museum in Kigali...the last room, you know the one...heartbreaking, I cried so much. A resilient country. I look forward to being back.
Oskar and Dan, your videos always fill me with so much gratitude and happiness towards you. This video was no different. You are so passionate about what you do, and it always fills me with joy when I hear your voices and see you do everything. Again, thanks so much for making this video
Love love your food market video! Trying the yummy foods of the country is so fun. It gives us a better understanding of what the locals eat. I am all for healthy lifestyle so proud and happy they use a lot of veggies in their foods. I love all the herbs and pepper use too! Peace!
So sorry that everyone in the uk seems to be insulting your country without knowing anything about it. Regarding the refugee proposals. Rwanda looks beautiful .
Went to Rwanda 2017,absolutely brilliant. Easy to get around, both Kigali, and beyond. The National Museum in Huye, worth the trip,Giseyni was great on lake Kivu. Kigali has 2 sports stadiums and a cricket ground if you like sports. Visit the Hotel des Milles Collines. It’s safe clean and affordable.
Oskar: "One thing we really like doing when we travel is visit local food stores and supermarkets to check out what they look like in different countries, because it's always very different depending on where you go." Next shot: Corn Flakes, Coco Puffs, Pringles as far as the eye can see...
