Im an American who grew up with Christian teachings, I have always had a problem with "Get saved or go to hell" Get saved and get others to get saved" Ok fine, get saved, but what then? How to think? @@sanalkumarpalat Don't know where you got this information. But the first meeting was not about earthy needs. It was about search for answers. Narendra as he was then know wanted to find God. He accompanied his friends to hear Saint Ramakrishna as the young Narendra was looking for a proper answers for his questions. As far his wants and needs his Guru took care of both. We should be so lucky to get such a Guru. If we get hold on to them because The Guru will put in a path that will liberate your atma.

Meena Srinivasan is totally right - indeed Swamiji ,during his travel around India (soon after the Paramhansa RamkrishnaDevji had left body) seeing lot of people sufferring in abject poverty he is quoted as saying to fellow monk " Haribhai what spirituality you will preach them ? If anything it betrays a deep ignorance and materialism. As if the soul stops mattering when you aren't living in comfort, or as if spirituality is a bougie concept. In fact, poverty and hunger push one's being to the limit, it gives them the greatest opportunity to be holy. But of course, a materialist mindset thst views money and food as the highest goods in someone's life will never comprehend that.

Perfect answer? He blasted her for asking a hypothetical to illustrate her point: In what manner do your teachings help the vast poor population? Seems to me he merely wished to step aside from embarrassment by focusing attention on the hypothetical example; showing a lack of kindness and integrity. I have watched hundreds of these videos to understand him better. Yes, he does sometimes utter valuable insights (most of which are not his own), but for the most part he illustrates his points by demeaning others. Is that perfect?

@@zendreamzen I too watched 100's videos of him and I am talking about this particular video. This particular context. He did not ridicule her question in any way, much less, blast her.. There are few things I don't agree with him. But he is not an authority on many things, apart from Yoga. But when he is right, he is right. He is right on a lot of common sense aspects, which are relevant to today's world. I don't consider him an authority on Hinduism though.

Your body is definitely your responsibility which is what he is trying to teach to the “full” people and if every lethargic, overweight, lazy, miserable but high IQ person decides to start undoing their self made suffering, naturally they would want to help others because they begin to see others as themselves. Helping others is also helping yourself. Many who are capable of helping chose to get fat sick and useless instead. Sadhguru has the power to do something about problems of this world and is using it properly. His voice has been heard by millions.. up to them how they take it but nobody is giving anybody responsibility he’s simply stating we lack it . And he’ not wrong. World poverty will not go away till humans, especially the ones in power or otherwise powerful develop empathy. Only empathy and fairness can eradicate poverty. No other economic, social or political model can. And that comes through spiritual practice, when you can identify with others’ pains and feel them as yours, you will naturally act to address them.

What you are referring to is the Path of Knowledge. Depending on each individual and their tendencies, they will choose the path that is comfortable for them to reach the Brahman (Truth). All the three paths, Devotion (Bhakti), Service (Karma), and Knowledge (jnana) are intertwined. Whichever one chooses as per one's tendency, the other two will come to you. As you grow in your path, you will come to realize that they are not separate (dvait) but the same (advait). It is the mind that gives it three identities. In Hinduism Brahman (Truth) is defined as that which is present at all times (which was, which is, and which will be)

Try it and if it works then cool but if it doesn't then rubbish it, because you are a seeker and you have the luxury to decide. I am without source of income, asked Isha to get Inner Engineering without cost and never got a reply from them! Surely if I have $ to pay they will have reply right away. No money and you are nobody, if you have wealth then you can even talk with those " gurus" face to face, like Tony Robins or Mike Tyson did. He is a clever man that knows how to flip things around to not say the wrong thing most of the time, even if he is no true to the facts and many times can hide his pride of his race feeling like if his race is superior in some form to the rest of the world and religions, philosophical systems and even science and I am not talking about the real values of the ancient Indian culture but his way.

he makes false claims,he works for publicity . First of all he explained why we shouldn't eat beef because cows have emotions like humans, I totally agree as I'm against animal cruelty. Our leaders fall into three main categories and they are either seekers, perpetuators and converted perpetuators. Seekers are humble beginners , perpetuators are those that come from the rich elite families and have been groomed to carry on with the status quo & the converted perpetuators who are hard working humble beginners who rise to power and are sucked into evil and forget about what it means to be a human being. Sadhguru teaches *"normal people who choose to care"* what it means to be a human being on the planet with a limited lifetime.

Poor people need miracles towards them. They need blessing and blessing it should work towards them. It may be late towards them but when they will get it is a lesson towards themselves to learn and keep the GIFT safely. And when the real miracle will happen they can save them and move on from others. That will be the real GIFT. AMEN

Believe in yourself for God has given wisdom to everyone. Don’t have to go listen to some gurus. You are better than any guru. Don’t waste your time listening to lectures.
