You know that the USSR placed satellites in orbit before the west. They had a LEO space station before the west. They built a 50 megatonnes nuke which dwarfs Castle Bravo at 15 megatonnes. Still the Soviet Union was aethist and this is why they lost the Cold War. They didn't believe in God. This life isn't just about mathematical equations and scientific theories.

The US would "allow" Saudi Arabia to put their dollars into the US Market. I'm pretty sure Saudi Arabians can buy stocks on the NYSE if they want, and they could do it before 1974 regardless of the deal. It's more like the US can't force Saudi Arabia to keep their oil money in US Banks anymore.

Pretty good explanation. The only thing I would possibly disagree on is the time factor. I don't think it will take 30 to 40 years for the US dollar to no longer be used internationally, but, that's only my opinion based on my view of things. Time will tell.

There's a saying that goes "things change gradually until they change suddenly." The US Dollar is the king of currencies *for now.* The usage of the US Dollar is declining gradually...until it declines suddenly. When will it decline suddenly and precipitously? No one can say but we can be certain it will happen. I'm guessing within 20-30 years.

With XRP we will no longer need a reserve currency. All countries will have their own digital currency and XRP will be used as the exchange currency in the middle to resolve transactions. The US needs to get their crap together and try to stay ahead of this. If this many countries and large financial institutions are going this way it is a done deal. The US does not have a hidden card to play. Be at the front of this or get left behind!!

I'm a bit confused with the example you showed of each "central bank" of each country determining and regulating all financial "currencies" and act as a clearing house. How will this work for cryptocurrencies, and, will they be using a (the) blockchain, or are they creating their own system? this is not clear at all...

Most countries are supporting dumping the dollar because the United States is using it as a weapon to brutalize other countries that do not see eye to eye with US foreign policies. theyre not ditching the petrodollar, just keeping their options open for other currencies. probably, and i say that carefully, "probably" will continue to trade in dollars mostly, but its smart on their part to keep options open. to the point, i don't think this would have happened pre 2000s. during the 90s, i think worldview was very positive of americas economy and geopolitical stance. after iraq, i think all that changed. probably will exaceberate following palestine. france followed us into iraq, theyre now condemnnig israel. even japan is looking to de-dollarization. also, china and india euro are all competitors for trade.

another reason why its smart on their part is because along with emerging economies offering opportunies for trade, tech and digital currency has a bright future. it's a lot different world from the 1970s. i would think, think, that most trade will still be done in dollars, but it's smart on their part to keep their options open. would be smart for america to have other oil producing allies.

I also live in Saudi Arabia, and we have had numerous disadvantages due to the SAR being pegged to the USD, us has been exporting its inflation to us here in Saudi Arabia. Even though our economy is much stronger under the leadership of Mohammed bin salman but still we have record high inflation for no reason. Real estate prices are sky rocketing like crazy. I think it’s time Saudi leaves the dollar for good
