I always felt Selena and Abel's relationship was ALWAYS fabricated and didn't feel genuine especially since it seemed RIGHT AFTER Bella and him split which felt really shady.. I think he truly fall for her, he cried during his coachella prestation singing « call out my name » but i think that Selena wasnt sincere with Abel, she did dirty to him just to have Justin’s attention. And finally she dumps him to go back with Justin. Yes, Abel also go back with Bella but I truly think he was sincere. Why ? Because after he shades her in his songs clearly said that he regrets to have left a girl like Bella for her. Its culpability because he just loose his time while Bella were still in love with him and because of Selena, he hurts Bella. I really liked the fetish era but I think she and her team should have done something more sexy and sultry. like some dark smokey eye and long brown hair and go more into the latina direction with a " Can't remember to forget you" Shakira and Rihanna type song. If their relationship was a PR stunt, and he never felt anything for her, why would he cry during his 2018 coachella performance referring to a lyric about her in Call Put My Name? "I almost cut a piece of myself for your life". Referring to the fact that she needed a kidney transplant. The rest of the song is dedicated to her. I think it was a very real relationship. He was deeply hurt when it ended. In another interview he said making the whole album was "cathartic". If it meant nothing then he wouldn't be crying on stage and dedicating songs to her and Bella. Just my two cents.

I liked Selena on Disney as a kid… like a lot of her young fans, i stopped liking her when she started dating JB… but even after my “I only don’t like her bc she’s dating the man I want to be with” phase, I still didn’t like her. And now every day that goes on, every stunt she pulls, every person she hurts… I cannot stand her. At all…. And the fact her best friend is mastermind manipulator Taylor Swift… I’m not surprised at the kind of person she is. I wish her fans would see thru the BS. Selena is not a sweet, innocent girl.

I thought they were a good couple. I honestly though Belle and Abel were mismatched. Abel and Selena seem more down to earth and looked like they had chemistry. Yet Bella and Abel just didn’t look right, Bella seems more pressed and high maintenance, and seems like she lacks a personality, as in without her friends with her and without her job, she’d be no one on her own. Selena and Abel seemed quite in love, If they had waited a bit, properly gotten over their exs, I think they’d still be together today.
