Jeffrey Dahmer didn't have loving parents as a kid. His parents chronically fought, his mother emotionally abandoned him, & his father was away working all.the time. He was left to his own thoughts & actions with no love & guidance.
Exactly. So many forget to mention this. He was abandoned at 17. Both parents just left him alone. His abandonment issues played a big role in his murders.,Also his mother was depressed and had mental health issues. Not exactly the perfect family. They also forget that Dennis Rader (BTK) was emotionally neglected as a child. His father wasn't there and his mother liked to watch tv a lot. He was left alone to do what he wanted. I don't think a person that had a good and loving childhood and no head injuries would be able to become a serial killer. But they chose to do this. It is not their parents fault, but the parents way of raising them influenced the m in a ver negative way.
i had a psychology professor that pointed out how humans aren’t very different from wild animals. indeed we are mammals. if you think how young children behave it’s rather brutal, like animals when they fight over what’s theirs; food, young, etc. it’s only that we are taught how to behave by our parents (usually) & higher intelligence of what is socially acceptable that we aren’t “wild”. our instincts aren’t a lot different from other animals, some animals are kinder than others even among species.
Some people but not all are like wild animals. Something is wrong and misfires inside their brains. But not all people's brains are misfiring and acting like wild animals. Or much worse in most cases.
Humans are animals. We stand atop the animal kingdom because of our ability to think rationally. But because of ego, humans no longer associate themselves with the animal kingdom.
Humans are the only mammals besides the aquatic ones, whales, porpoises, manatees, and seals, that cannot walk on their own until about 12 months after birth. They are super reliant on being nurtured.
Apparently, you're more likely to be murdered by a serial killer than to die from a shark bite. Which means I can be afraid of sharks AND serial killers.
Exactly! 💯 It's not NURTURE vs NATURE...ITS NURTURE+ NATURE=Good law abiding citizens...for the most part! Lol. It's taken both nurture AND nature in order for us, mankind, to get this far! That's why we are the strongest of the mammals, the animals! ❤ 😊 Otherwise, we would all still be just like a BEAST! A wild Beast! 💪🔥💯🙏
The use of the word "carcass" to describe the victims is so disrespectful. The word, by definition, used to describe dressed animals, regardless of whether in the wild or in a slaughterhouse. They're *victims* not animals.
Serial killing is pretty disrespectful. The bodies were in the process of being butchered and EATEN. The word was well chosen to convey the horror of the state the victims were in.
@@Summermute7: I get what the OP is trying to say but semantics isn’t really important to me. The victims are what’s important here. These killers are pure evil.
In the end we are all just meat, honestly though. I do agree with OP that it is a disrespectful way to term somebody’s loved one. I don’t care what u call me after I’m gone but if you’re speaking about someone I loved- youd better use their name only. Not even “victim”. That’s NOT who they are to me. They were more then what became of their last moments. Although, this video isn’t taking about who died, but who killed. A shortcoming of media that we know everything about the killers and gloss over their victims
Dahmer killed his victims quickly and as painlessly as possible - then he did horrible things to their body. The reason he gave for killing was so that the young men couldn't leave him. He is not the same as those killers who tortured their victims prior to death.
@@djquinn11 Where would you put them? I watched a true crime video last week where the male cut off a woman's head and his S/O loved him so much that when he wanted to 'play' with the head, she would put make up on it for him.
I did the math when he said Manson was 73, he actually died at 83 in 2017. That means this was from 2007-ish. The way the rest of this documentary sounded, I figured it was pre 9-11. The one guy referenced Donahue for goodness sakes. Plus so much of their “newly found knowledge “ seemed to be a few steps behind our understanding of them today. So, idk, I’m of the opinion that this is several interviews spliced together from the last 30 years. It was sorta archaic and outdated.
@@proborderjumper2139 from what I've read he is! He did get a lot of skin from already deceased bodies, but it only takes 2 people to be ki//ed and boom ur a serial ki//er. Look at Wade Wilson. He only ki//ed 2 women, rest their souls, but he is considered a serial ki//er! He only got charged for their passings and then battery on his ex, Mila! He didn't get charged with attempted mu**er on his now ex, Mila! Just battery!
Sooo many wrong informations about Jeffrey Dahmer here, its ridiculous to call that a Documentary or to put him in one cup with these sadistic other sks. no comparison to him, not even close. Fact.
how could anyone discuss the kind of killer Dahmer is without talking about Dennis Nelson, their crimes are so alike, although Nelsons kills out number Dahmers
This video was kinda entertaining to watch but I’ve rarely seen a “documentary” about serial killers so full of nonsense! So much misinformation and factual wrongs throughout the entire video. So my recommendation to the people who watched this and doesn’t know a lot about the subject already but was interested in it is to go watch other videos or read some books instead. There’s a lot of great documentaries on RU-vid about dahmer, Ramirez, Manson and all the other serial killers. Serial killers that make Ramirez look like a church boy…
I thought the same, at first. Then I remembered the poor fish he tortured and killed. His high school friends witnessed him doing it. If you haven't by now, check out My Friend Dahmer by John Backderf.
