It’s so cool he can avoid swearing while being around a bunch of friends who are swear-ers. Listen to my friends cursing everyday make me sometimes subconsciously curse too. But not in the malding way I guess, more like “oh sh*t that’s so cool” and “wtf that’s so funny” type of curse

I get ya shu. I always say "fish" instead of the f word. I say "fish" to replace all swear word, ex: "holy fish", "fish you", "fishing" and "what the fish". Now, my close friends and family already know when i say fish, i refer to swearing. Beside, i don't really like eating fish so they understand it is swearing mostly. Cause i'm not the type to really swear unless i really really malding.

As a fellow non-swear-er, I think one of the most fun things about not swearing is finding substitute swear words. To each their own, of course, but personally I feel like it also reserves the real deal for when I really mean it.

I totally respect Shu not being a swearing type. I actually used to consciously not swear but I got to college and even my close friend group started swearing so I swear sometimes now.

I only swear on texts but I never felt the need to swear verbally. Although growing up I hear my parents, neighbors, and friends curse, I didn't recklessly spit swear words to anyone. I think it's because I always knew that swearing is not really appropriate at an early age regardless the antics of the people around me.

I grew up in a Christian household, so I did not swear at all for the longest time but once I hit high school, there was swearing everywhere that I just grew the habit to swear as well. He's not kidding about American schools and swearing.

I get it, everyone curses at school and drops F bombs all the time! I’m in middle school 8th grade soooo yeah. I really only curse when I’m angry, heard something funny or weird. I try not to curse too constantly, and of course I NEVER CURSE in front of anyone young which includes my nephews, nieces, and younger cousins.
