I don't like mumbai servers for this specific reason, they'll have 4 people on one site with a sentinel and will still ask to smoke. And then they'll flame you "throwing"
Exactly, the problem I face on Mumbai server is that people don't know what to do, nor do they wanna know if I tell them. Like 60% of people are just toxic, 20% don't even speak & rest are like me, they talk but the 80% don't listen to them. Plus people trash talk for no apparent reason when they don't even do anything all game.

The notes on the previous vods (beginning of this vod) 4:38 : defense on a : hold the switch from garden, free kill cuz they won't see you 12:50 : smoke backsite on the left for retake is better than the one on the right 18:20 : in retake smoke deeper a choke so they can't fall back fast/we can see them or their utils quicker n longer (like the skye flash if she pops one for example) 20:55 : solo oneway smokes (so smart wtf i'm so dumb)

Wow. I never really gave a thought to smoking on defence. Just smoke the choke whichever site they push. This user to be my thinking process lol. This idea of my smokes directing their attack blew my mind. Ive never seen any of my teammates do it either. Theyll often just smoke chokes or smoke for aggressive plays. Now the question is how do I explain why I didnt smoke the site entrance to my team in these situations without getting flamed.

This seems obvious, even in gold. If one guy is out and sova gets the pick, we'd assume they're all out. I would never throw that smoke and just rotate asap. Though, as a gold I'd also smoke with a senti. Now I know that I'd just smoke inbetween gen and dice when they come out so I have space to move, rat and take picks and get out. I appreciate the daily potassium, even if its 3% its still more than I had before. Now I must convert that potassium into knowlage intake and output to flawlessly execute what I learned. 3:51 normally I would agree with you on this but this is the enemy teams bonus round. I think buying lights against their weak buy isn't a good Idea. it's pretty important for the team to bring as many guns as possible into the next round. And its' way to easy to die in some bs way to a stinger or a specter if you go lights on round 3. Round 3 as the losers buying rifles is pretty much the only time I will prioritize going shields over utility.
As an Omen main I like looking at the average use of abilities per round after my games. And if my avg tp per round is around 1, I know that I failed as an Omen player.
as a bronze this kind of smoke didnt work, so i always smoke default template. Some already blamed me because they think i smoked them making it harder to defend
my team when the chokepoint is smoked off: give away our position and get stuck enemy team when it happens: flash our whole team and commit an explosive execute

I felt so vindicated when he showed the retake smoke bc I always throw that when I'm forced to fill omen and people always get mad despite winning the retake.
My duo plays duelist and uses OP, he gets smoked off by randoms all the time, I play cypher and call I have cage one ways, dont smoke, and they smoke first contact
mini update: once again, even three months apart, plat lobbies immediately kicked my ass 💀 2 Ls, one of which was one of my worst games in a while, deranked Fortunately after a quick break I played one more and won :3 BUT NOW I'M 96/100 RR 😭 After getting work done I'm gonna try to get that last 4 :3
Hey hooj is it okay to play on 2 different accounts? I just reached G2 and other account is s3. My friends and I like to 5 stack and they don't want to play unrated so it's either don't play with them or 5 stack ranked. But I don't want to do that coz of what you said about rank up and I would like to play only one agent there in solo queue. I remember you saying this in one of your videos that it's cool to.have two accounts if you have rank anxiety so that you can always have your peak rank in one of them and don't get anxious. I know this is a completely different context but I want to know is it okay to do or will it somehow deteriorate my actual performance????

Generally your smokes should always have a purpose. Avoid putting them passively or “just because”. Put smokes: - to try and force enemies to hit the other stronger site - to retake sites - to convert unfavorable fights to favorable ones Don’t be afraid to take fights. When learning controller, we always have the tendency to smoke every choke point. But sometimes we WANT those fights. We WANT those pushes to come to us.
The smoke is even worse cuz someone is coming from t spawn so the guy in main would be able to isolate their fight even more no? Instead of being worried about b site side too?
Dia 3 so my understanding of what 'bonus round' means (and there are multiple 'bonus' rounds each match under varying circumstances) can be hopefully broken down in this way. You win pistol, you buy up as you have an eco advantage for winning a round vs your opponents. You win this buy round, your opponents saved their eco to be able to buy on this next round. You are now playing an "eco" round without having to effectively eco which in turn turns it into a bonus as the credits "saved" this round can roll into 2-3 round loss buys should you streak in that way. For this bonus round however, you didn't need to buy up, buy light, or no buy to eco for this round. You simply had *"A"* gun, which is better than the classic in certain scenarios to then potentially flip it for their bought vandal/phantom or any other gun you deem more worthy than whatever you started out with. Ideal bonus, you round start with a stinger/spectre and end with a vandal/phantom and now it's round 4 and you have +/-6000 for util/armor purposes while the enemy team is back to +/-3400 and eco'ing their 2nd time. Pistol round and bonus round are 2 of the most important rounds for damaging and hindering an eco wave of oppression to force you to forsake certain util buys or to force you into a string of light armor/gun buys. EDIT: It was mentioned in another post that buying shields versus their bonus round has a higher priority over util, and with some of the agents on the roster, I'd agree. Some util is better than others and heavy armor vs light armor does give you an extra half step against their stinger/spectre. Default round 3 bonus as the team bonusing, they typically have vandals. As the team with the bonus guns, I'd argue that you don't need to spend the extra 600 for heavy shields as the headshot will do it's job while still able to tank 3 body shots and being left with 1 hp. However, as the team buying the vandals versing the Bonus team, I'd recommend buying up on your armor as best as possible, forsaking some but not all types of util in favor of heavy armor/vandal to grant you that half step towards the body shot guns of spectre/stinger END EDIT There may be a more fit explanation as to what the bonus round means that I'm not seeing under my perspective but I hope this helps regardless. Any addition or retraction of my statement is welcome if properly explained with it's why and how.
