If you're a sneaker reseller & serious about scaling your business- I put together a free training video breaking down the exact Amazon System that all of the top resellers are using right now: www.dpsneak.co...
Fr i enjoy food way more than another pair of shoes that I know I don’t need, Honestly I have 20 pairs of shoes less than most sneaker heads but that more than enough shoes but food I’ll forever need
They release a different model shoe every day. They also release different colors of the same shoe all the time. That's why they sit. The market is over saturated
So in this point of view it boils down to location location location.... for your store and great community support for the backbone of the market to survive while having an awesome time. Got it. Great vid.
There’s no reason pay retail or more from a specialty sneaker store on newer release’s, when you can get them from the manufacturers, licensed retail stores (Dick’s, Finish Line, etc) or at the outlets a LOT cheaper. With places like Stock X, Poizen, GOAT, etc, people can get pretty much ANY shoe they want cheaper than a speciality store. I get that there’s major cost involved, including rent, staff, marketing, and advertising, but that’s part of the game. You have to pay to play the game to get known, and established.
This is one of the best videos ive seen on business..i would recomend it to anyone that is starting or thinking of starting ANY business..the only thing i would disagree with is having your own business is better because you dont have to deal with an idiot boss and thats worth ALOT..WELL DONE
Would love to see update videos in 3, 6, 9 months, a year from now on how the business is doing. Being transparent would be hard but beneficial for all your followers.
I ain’t tryna be rude this was great video but to many people shop online and bc of GOAT and other platforms sneaker stores are pointless bc yall are way over market even my people who not even into shoes as much as me even know when the shoes to high. I understand making your money but people to smart now.
Reasons why they're going out of business main reasons price to high on certain shoes designs are not that great of eye of peal people want to spend 200 dollars on something that looks nice not generic like most of the Jordan retro shoes that are available people want something with a nice pattern and color choices
honestly i’m super shocked at how informative this was. i always wanted to know the breakdown of what happened at sneaker stores and this explains why a lot of sneaker stores near me shut down with crazy high priced shoes. thank you fr, you earned my sub
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the issue is an utter lack of originality. It’s important to understand and follow trends to an extent, but at some point, a store has to hit a niche or satisfy a lesser desired nostalgia. Otherwise, it will ebb and flow with the market. If you lined up 50 of these stores next to each other, there would be less variety than if you lined up 50 Footlockers next to each other. It’s not just money, people get sick of paying more and more for what inevitably equates to all the same old ish. There’s gotta be a unique or originality factor for a business to sustain. Otherwise, you’re just banking until things change. And it’s not just trends that change, it’s attitudes.
Y’all gotta sell more pre-owned shoes and other smaller high margin items. I keep the brand new shoes on the shelves and they look cool and whatever but used forces and sunglasses pay the bills
I never understood the sneaker market. Especially why people would be willing to pay hundreds sometimes thousands for a pair of shoes. I just go to vans when they have the buy one get one half off. Pay like 90bucks for 2 pairs, but too each their own hehe hope yall can get some good deals now that prices are dropping
People dont party like they did in the past and are stuck with (special occasion) shoes they hardly wear. I Sell work shoes.. boots and gym shoes at the flee market😂 buisness is booming
The better option then paying 40% over stock x is just ordering on stock x and waiting a week to get your shoe time is money the time it takes to go to your store just to find out you don’t have the shoe I need in the size I need it in I can be home relaxing or working and what do you know my shoe arrives at my dlater
I’m sorry you actually seem like a really good guy I have just had bad experiences with stores in the mall that resell sneakers I went in last year to buy a size 9 Jordan 3 palomino for my nephew that was the shoe he wanted that year for his birthday so I go in ask for the shoe they have it I ask how much they reply with 320$ now mind you this shoe was a brick it was goin for 30$ under retail I’m a fair person I understand you need to make money is what I said to the guy and offered 260$ his reply was duhhhhhhhhh I can take like 15$ off I just said really? And left if I could find a store that was fair with me I’d rather do all my business with them then e bay goat and stock x
Dude I buy here all the time, elevate lawrence correct? Got some Yeezy 350s, Jordan 11 gratitudes, some fear of god sweats. Already spent a band here and it’s well worth it. Been waiting for a store like this in Kansas
Bro let the creator of all creations bless you because there's no one on RU-vid that ever explained how to create a business that fast and with the accurate information that you have bestowed upon us distance from Yoda thank you the force is very strong with you
But the problem is...most stores aren't offering anything to dudes like me, who have been copping kicks for 24 years. I know the market. I know the prices. I feel like a lot of y'all stores are actually dependent on the soccer moms, and the timmys, terrells, and edgars who don't really know shit, instead of trying to cater to sneakerheads who actually care about a wide variety of shoes, and will keep doing business with y'all if the service is good.
This is a consignment store , if you want to open a straight up resell shop it all comes down to how many in demand shoes u can get for retail, cause hypothetically speaking if you can get them all for retail and you dont have to essentially middleman a pair then you can do pretty well. It all comes down to what u can get for retail price thats in demand
I will never understand why people pay more than $65 for some china made garbage. At least some well made italian calf skin leather shoes are worth a couple hundreds.
This dude is just copying then regurgitating all the same stuff he hears from every other sneaker owner.. then he’s acting like he’s saying something g groundbreaking
This whole shoe business is getting out of hand people buying shoes to sell for a profit instead of wearing them is stupid 😂 last i checked it was a womans thing to collect shoes and hand bags
