I really feel like alot of people hate on Em ignoring the fact that he can rap circles around every rapper at the same time in the same breath. When i hear comments like "The white boy...." right away I feel like his race makes people hate subliminally without them even realizing it has an affect on how they are judging him. Even the top hip hop artist in the world can't deny Eminem and give him his due respect. I know this is opinion based, but if someone likes lyrical rap(not mumble rap) and they like lyricist like Nas, Biggie, Kool G Rap,... then I would think you should automatically like Em cuz he's lyrical. And all those rappers said Em is dope, so to hate makes me think it's because of his race.
automatik25 you hit the nail on the head! Nothing but hate. Em is a lyrical free styling beast and some black people just can't accept that he can eat their favorite rappers and their favorite rappers know it.
automatik25 your right it is because of his race, just like it's because of his race why a million white people who hated rap music, said it was STUPID, IGNORANT DUMB, UNEDUCATED PEOPLE who just talk mumbo jumbo make words rhyme together but are not saying anything because they can't sing, make noises with their mouth (beatbox) or sample other artist records because they can't play an instrument . An art form looked down upon by not all, but thousands of white people as just PATHETIC music, then Beastie Boys comes along and then miraculously white people start to like them and then Eminem comes along who is a excellent rapper( but there's other great rappers too)and now white people appreciate this artform as real music when the white boy does it. And you seriously questioning whether you think this is to do with race.
How the fuck don't you know who Royce Da 5'9 is man?! You gotta be kiddin me!! Lol He's on Bad Meets Evil with Eminem for Christ sake. Like come on now, you're talkin about a rap/hip hop topic and you don't know who Royce is smh
Darth Maul Royce da 5'9 is hot garbage juice he sucks he's not lyrical how did he even get a album he most likely doesn't know who he is because he is trash
Darth Maul. IMO I think he just tryna diss Royce or probably just hating, like that shit pissed me off big time, how the fuck would he pretend not to know who Royce is smh...
Karceno4Life Even though I I actually see you respond to people. Im surprised you responded. But I really like royce. and I actually liked his renegad verse a little more than Jay only because him and Em fit so well together. Also to me Em and Jay are tied one renegade.
Cause he made another video about him not liking Royce Da 5'9". Karceno said that Royce was not a good person on an older video. So Karceno caught his tongue to not complete his name correctly.
I say that all the time. The white boys who had soul was 3RD Bass they were like the rap version of Hall & Oates. They couldn't rap as well as Eminem but I would take The Cactus album over any of Eminem music!
Perfect example of Em on the Forever song was the year he made an appearance at Drakes OVO fest in Toronto. The crowd went absolutely nuts, he stole the show.
Tudy Man -- 2pac would swallow em . em a good lyricist but no 1 was on the level of Pac. em would be too scared of him if he was still around he would be kickn rappers asses out there if not in the physical form in the mental.
if you think at any point in that song Jay-Z was even or better you're a sucka and hater from New York with too much pride. If anything EM probably held back and he still made Jay-Z sound like some local rapper that has only done open mics. There is no debate , swallow your pride and admit it "Goddamn em killed it!" Its okay more music will be made.
+bluepiff gz no white Eminem fans just started listening to rap. I grew up on melly Mel, run DMC, rakim, kool moe Dee, Chubb rock, too short, tupac, spice 1, az, biggie, Scarface, Tim dogg, Ed og, big daddy Kane, ice cube and Eminem music just not good to me.
This video loses credibility for 2 reasons. 1. Every hip hop head I knew was staying em killed jay way before Nas dropped either. 2. If you don't know Royce da 59 you probably don't know much about hip hop.
I'm not an Em fanboy or nothing. I just know I was born and raised the golden age of rap. All the way up yo this point Em is easily top 5. And to these people arguing over Em's originality, it's funny how I hear no one talking how Big got some of his style from Big Daddy Kane then use it as a negative(cause it's not). From what I paid attention to in the beginning(Infinite) he got pieces of his style from Masta Ace and Az. He just grew into the lyrical powerhouse he is now. We should appreciate great emcees for being great emcees. Arguing because Em is better than your favorite rapper makes no sense. Canibus is my favorite rapper. Em crushed him and has gotten better since then. I'm not gonna hate on Eminem for that. I rather focus on tying to eradicate this mumble rap garbage.
bthanhawk022 truth right there. My favorite rappers are Schooly D and Eazy-E. Eminem isnt one of my favorite rappers. I like a different style (West Coast). But I listen and study many rappers (expecially OG's) and as far as rapper superiority, anyone who knows rap whether your a fan of Eminem or not has to put him in the top 5 best rappers to ever touch a Mic. He's fucking filthy.
OMG you guys want to make your ears bleed then listen to Lil Pumps' "Gucci Gang", this guy literally says Gucci Gang every other word, literally has no lyrical genius to him at all, and the Rainbow Sherbert hair style will make you fuckin laugh your asses off
whats with all this Racism/ Reverse Racism? EM is undeniably top 10 maybe even Top 5, 1. he has co-signs from Rakim, Kool G, Redman, Nas, & jay etc etc. 2. he has held his own and killed people on songs with artist like jay, wayne, slaughterhouse, game, & Kendrick etc. 3. Beef? not just pop stars ask Canibus. 4. "he wouldnt be as big without White Fans" neither would any other Rapper... how about Techn9ne 50% of his fans are not black does that discredit his talent or success? 5. "he makes Stupid Songs like my name is.." Again so do alot of rappers So are all The Jay& Beyonce songs Fire? Nas did "I Can " No Rapper has a perfect Catalog..... AT THE END of the day Em is and will go down as one of the GOAT's he is successful , Talented & Respected by his peers wether yall like it or not
Reverse Racism? hahaha WTF is that? racism is putting one race over another, no matter which ones. But I agree with everything else you said. Eminem deserves the credit he gets.
MHNK77 "Reverse racism is a term used to describe acts of discrimination and prejudice perpetrated by racial minorities or historically oppressed ethnical groups against individuals belonging to the racial majority or historically dominant ethnical groups. In other words, it is reverse discrimination based on racial criteria."
People who say only white people can be racist are in fact racist. Being racist knows no race. People who say shit like that are very stupid, ignorant and make the issue even worse. A fucking joke! Thats what those people are. Black, oriental, white, Hispanic, Arab, etc. Have tons of racist people within their own ranks. That just makes no sense.
lol idiot. there is no such thing as reverse racism. there is racism, and not racism. simple as that. black hates whites, racist. white hates black, racist. no such thing as reverse racism
So he wouldn't rap with Eminem because they are afraid of getting ripped in there own track wtf I thought rap was competitive lol so all these top rappers are sensitive as fuck
Em is overrated if he was Black he would be Chino XL. Em aint wack but his voice is annoying, and he makes too many goofy songs like MY NAME IS. HE also needs to flow better with the beat. I respect him though because unlike most White rappers he gives opportunities to Black MC's.
I know he barely makes any songs anymore. 2009 was the last time he was dropping joints regularly. But his discography is littered with corny songs gatman and robbin, Ass Like that, Real Slim Shady, etc. Not to mention he would always diss easy targets like Britney Speers. Give me Kool G rap, Rakim, Ghostface and 500 other MC's over Em any day.
Agree Eminem ripped it on that track but that's some of the really s*** Jay Z ever wrote I had to hustle back to the walls ashyy nuckles,,pockets full of lent not having a cent,,,a lot of innocent lives lost up on the projects bench!???? Email talked about the industry,, jay talked crack era times! I came to the fork in the road and went straight ??
I didn't hear Jay Z complaining either. Nas was just throwing up hailmarys at that point. So what if Eminem's verse was better. Name an MC that could put up a better verse than Em on a song.
such a stupid ignorant comment. and also Em did grow up with his single mom, and in a trailer park, with not much money. is being around crack a pre-requisite to being a rapper?
My thing is EM is a bad boy. And at this point you must respect that. You got to think as EM someone is always going to try you. Especially being a White rapper. So mush always go hard. Always. Respect for putting the truth out.
Von Faulks yeah such a bad boy. what do you consider a bad boy? he doesn't use mind altering chemicals. doesn't slap his b@@@@ up. he's not a dealer. doesn't Rob or fight or murder people. never see him on the news for anything, unlike t.i. for gun trafficking and Chris Brown for assaults. snoop for murder so on so on. he's just a lyric genius period
Eminem Produced The Cross for Nas what are you talking about LOL. They might not be Pals but I'm sure both respect each others craft. Also Eminem almost begged Afeni Shakur to produce Tupac Loyal to the Game : www.mtv.com/news/1494233/eminem-went-crazy-with-tupacs-a-cappellas-for-loyal-to-the-game/ I don't see Kanye contacting Afeni when she was alive to produce tracks or any other producers. I'm not a huge Em fan I did look closely at his career to see his career fall to the dump and say see I told ya he was wack. Instead I ended up respecting his music and his crazy persona. Now I can safely say he is not in my top 5 also I rather put Lupe & Immortal Tech on top before him.
You just spent 7 minutes explaining that Eminem is one of the best rappers ever and this makes some others afraid to collaborate with him. Who are you, like Howard Stern of rap?
Umm i didnt listen to the whole thing but when i saw the caption i went "uhmm Snoop is literally featured in a song with Eminem on the marshall mathers LP - Bitch Please II"
Ok so what was Snoop's verse? He's on the hook for like 5 seconds. That's different than doing a verse with Em, kinda like how Em killed Jay on the Renegade feature, lol.
Won't rap with is different than "singing a 3 second hook“. Yeah, he is featured but what was his verse? If your gonna pretend to be not ignorant, don't admit by saying you didn't watch it all. It makes you look stupid, not smart. If you did, what Nas said about Jay was true lol. Snooo won't throw down a real verse with Em because he knows he will get murdered, but ok with it. The sad part is that, Em gave Jay Z the renegade song when he originally made for him and Royce Da 5'9
SilentNights185 You bugging. Snoop had a whole verse. Got about 50 guns and a love all of them the same bang bang, nah baby girl what’s your name, I forgot what u say it was, damn a n###a buzz.....................
i love how they talk about people don't want to be on the same track as eminem. goes to show how superior his lyrical skills are and how no one can compete with this man. these rappers don't have what it takes to keep up with him and dont have the balls to even try to keep up its sad really...
Devan Hixson Yeah, "classic quote" if it was an actual song quote and not an incorrect paraphrase... CORRECTLY: "Where's my snare? I have no snare in my headphones. There you go. Hey, yo....."
Devan Hixson got no time for that heavily commercialised overplayed shit... a quote you should have gone for was 'a lot of people ask me... am I afraid of death...Hell yeah I'm afraid of death, I don't wanna die yet'
Str8 the fuck up r u fucking serious u dont know Royce Da 59 I know y cuz u only knew what everybody else knows u follower and you cant understand what's real and fake, real rappers bringing hip hop back not ur rap and "hipdrop" we want r RAP AND HIPHOP BACK BITCHES
Tim Dellon eminem ghost writes alot of the verses people do on his shit.. look at guilty conscience.. you think dre wrote that shit.. and forgot about dre
He may be speakin' the truth - but anybody who doesn't know who Royce is loses ALL credibility in my book. Had he been given the chance, Royce would've murdered Jay on his own shit too.
1. Ice Cube 2. Will Smith (underrated af) try rapping without Curse words 3. Tupac 4. Biggie 5. Eminem 6. Lil Boosie My list realest and greatest.. Now let's argue
If you really listen to the lyrics, neither rapper was superior to the other. From Jay Z's perspective, it was about growing up through tough times in the hood. From Eminem's perspective, it was about his public perception in the media. Granted, Eminem did fit more words in his bars than Jay Z did, but he did not kill him. If you grew up in the hood, you appreciated Jay's verse of the struggle. Nas was just beefing with Jay at the time when he made the statement. Jay represented the hood in his verse. Eminem represented all celebrities being crucified by the media. If you look at the body of work and relevance in hip hop, Jay Z is the GOAT.
lets keep it 100. Eminem did get the best of Jay on that renegade record, theres no disputing that. But to say that Jay got destroyed? That's not true. I'm speaking about in reality, not fuck niggas who jump on bandwagons. Jay didn't have the best verse , but he didn't get destroyed. Ceno you're right, nobody was saying Jay got bodied until Nas said it. If that's the reason why rappers don't want to hop on a Eminem track then that's gay as fuck. Eminem is not that nice. Hes a great technical writer, no great content. No heart in his music. He just lost it on that one track with Hov , he typically doesn't rap like that on every track.
LOL.......What an articulate statement......i was unaware that words could be associated with race or ethnicity........In the words of the great poet Ice Cube "CHECK YO SELF!!!!!"
"Our culture?" What are you talking about? Besides culture vultures and trolling (which you did with your comment) are almost the same types of behavioral traits. Get over it DOG!!! Listen and Love!!! Merry Christmas to all......
True hip hop heads also knew that wasnt Jay's track, he made an exec move and replaced Royce. Dont get it twisted tho, Em's verse was better regardless. Nas twisted the scenario for his ether BUT his point was even more potent than the public realises. Nas was pointing out if you take a man off his track(Royce) then you should at least come harder than the person you took off that track, Nas highlighted that fact with his now famous words "Eminem murdered you on your own track". Again Nas is a genius, he basically showed the world what happens when you pick on the small guy. Jay had the power to get Royce of the track, Royce was powerless in the situation BUT Em outshined Jay on the track, so its like Jay paid for his own funeral. I could go on for days but real hip hop heads know whats up. Lastly DJ Micnifacent, fuck these ignorant mfs, ORIGINALS take no offense to the phrase "Hip hop heads".
Amen. if your gonna Rapp or sing it must be beneficial to the listener not a bad message one that can see them thru. You guys got some of the baddest hooks ever around but, the message is the key of growing good or growing bad among people's hearts and thinking. Stay up snoop.
em says he was influenced by masta ace and treach supposedly was gonna work with ace but his label advised him against it. if I was in ems position I would definitely reach out to my favorite rappers for a collabo
Once Em rapped his verse it became law lol I remember I wrote Em's whole verse down on paper it was so dope...Nas was able to reach a larger crowd at the time but if social media was a thing in the 2000s everyone would've said Jay got killed
Worms Hip Hop thanks for the support but his verses are awesome like lose youreself, not afraid, slim shady, my name is, without me, love the way you lie, and forgot about Dre he is a lit rapper I’m just tired of other blacks being racist they say he told old for rapping and say nothin about dogg 50 cent and Dre so they be racist they say Dre and dogg are younger and better 😂 Eminem is the king of rap like who be the only rapper to get a Oscar Em we all know that it just some blacks don’t want to admit it cause there jealous he is the king of there music even tho it’s now also white music to tbf
For real, Em is too smooth with his flow. There are just a few icons like that, that you don't rap with. The other is Pac. There is no evidence that I have heard where Pac did not shut down any other artist on a record. These two have a flow that and cadence that is second to none. It's not that Jay is weak, it's just Em's flow is just stupid. I'm with Snoop, that would be a mistake going against that dude.
Karceno can you do a video about the truht behind the relationship between Eminem and Snoop ? It seems like they don't like each other. I might be wrong.
OweNoOneNothin In2016, Not anymore, he trash his best song was 5 years ago and that was Rap God. Take his Trump Diss for example he took long pauses to come up with words and this was the fool who read whole dictionaries. I call his freestyles now a days unwanted leftovers of his past.
See and thats why id like to see eminem on songs with other rappers cause em is dope af by himself doin his own shit but when he do songs with other rappers eminem gets on they vibe and just rocks that shit those be the best ones they can bring the beast out of jim
They know people skip.to eminems verse because he brings it. Fuck what anyone is rappin about. Eminem takes over the song. Thats reality. Has been since hes been in the game.
Eminem has actually mastered the English language as a whole, (dicitonary whatever) no other rapper study's that, when you have done that u can do what you want
