He was probably the only actor who, while aware of the effects his beauty had on people - was not obsessed by it. He used it but was not possessed by it. A Zbyszek nawet u schyłku życia miał wdzięk, charyzmę i ten cudowny uśmiech z tym zniewalającym dołeczkiem w policzku. I te wspaniałe włosy. O pięknym głosie to nawet nie wspomnę. Dla mnie najwspanialszy. Natomiast Deloin czy faktycznie był takim wspaniałym aktorem? No nie wiem. Ja Deloina ceniłam za miłość do Zwierząt bo sama Je uwielbiam.
He may have been the most perfect man ever. But somehow the more we try to analyze his beauty feature by feature and in terms of centimeters, the more elusive it becomes.... I can't imagine what it was like to be him. But he seemed to accept his destiny with good grace and very little if any arrogance. He was also highly intelligent, multilingual and possessed of a wonderful dry sense of humor. I believe those perfect features were animated by all that he was and it shone through his eyes. A truly exceptional person. May he have found peace at last.
Not that intelligent I believe, no real sense of humor either. A good actor, just being himself (like Gabin, Belmondo) in front of the camera. Nevertheless, I highly respected him for what he was and for this real actor cinema that seems now gone.
@@andrestrat There were a lot of better actors than him. He was usually just himself. I thought Gregory Peck was better, Jean Gabin, Belmondo, Yves Montand, Jean-Luis Barrault, Charlton Heston, Jimmy Stewart were better.
He just passed a way . We lost one of the most talented actor in the cinema history. He died at age 88 in Douchy-Montcorbon, France. He spoke Italian. English & fluent France. 1935-2024 God bless he’s soul he was my favorite actor. Aloha from Hawaii ❤

Training and diet help, but you have to have the physical structure. And he has been incredibly gifted with male beauty. Pretty difficult to be that in proportion, symmetrical, yet still have a virile, masculine appearance. He has it.

Delon has a special influence on my life. Being a child I watched almost all his movies and without even realising that, later in my life I was looking for the men with a similar appearance. I believe it was the effect of imprinting, as psychologists say. Unfortunately, he is so unique, that no-one could be compared with him, so every time I failed! 😂 So, though I like him so much even now, his beauty made a bad joke in my life!

I know he drank high quality real wine which contains resveratrol. I know he was very social which contributes to longevity. He was always loved. I know he loved to swim and he swam on a regular basis until his stroke. He believed in God and prayed in his own chapel. Prayer gives faith and hope . It is a known contributer to longevity. He lived to 88 years old which is longer than the national average in the USA, France, European countries and Japan. He is a fortunate man that lived longer than most people.

He never got lung cancer and lived far longer than the national average of the USA or European countries. He had many other good things going on in his life that probably counteracted his getting lung cancer. Obviously he did not have the genetics for lung cancer.
He is absolutely beautiful. I have always thought Barry Ryan of the song "Eloise" fame the most handsome man in the world. But I think Delon surpasses him. That mix of masculine and feminine gets me every time.
I heard someone said that the secret of his beauty is that his facial feature were quite feminine and proportionate while his gaze was very hard. I think that sums it up well. Also consider that men from Northern Italia, Northern Spain and France are the most handsome and the hottest.

Look around in the streets of France - you will see very few young men with potbellies and very few women with cellulite. Funny, as a straight man, I don't really see it. He's pretty. To me, Burt Lancaster would be the exemplar: utterly masculine, but astonishingly handsome.
It's a matter of taste. Delon doesn't do much for me. Too much of a pretty boy and he plays too many hard and cold roles. In roles I respond to empathy, kindness, goodness, heroism, not villains. I don't like Ronaldo either. Too much of a pretty boy. Messi is more natural and male. But Burt Lancaster doesn't do anything for me either.
Rocco was anything but feckless. He sacrificed himself for his brother who got himself in trouble. As s.o. said in a film, he was a saint. A rather unusual part for him. He was good in this famous film.
