I'm an international viewer, so it would be great to always have a little bit of context to the American laws you discuss (I'm a lawyer my country) also please do a commentary on Suits! Your legally blonde ones were the best!
Hello! I stumbled on the internet and found you lovely people and have become fascinated with the career of being a lawyer. Keep doing what you guys are doing it's great work. I'd love to see more on what running or own firm is like or what a Lawyers normal day is like in big law. You're combined experiences at Harvard also seem super interesting! Keep up the great work, with love from AZ
I respect that you opened your own firm. I think it’s better because big law firms are very toxic and most of those lawyers burn out quick. Only a few make partner and they literally sacrifice everything
Guys - I would make one thing clear here: I know tons of independent lawyers whose practices run absolute circles around big law pay. Your man will be rich if he sticks to it.
I would love a long, compilation video of topics or prior videos you guys have made. I really like listening to you guys talk in the background-almost like a podcast, while I do other stuff and sometimes it can be a little annoying clicking to a new vid every 3-5min 😅
This is a great idea! We will work on adding some compilation videos this week. In the meantime, check out our "#Shorts" playlist which should autoplay all of our uploaded shorts back to back without you having to click anything!
Becoming an attorney is definitely a career choice I am interest in pursuing. I'm not aiming to make up to a million dollars per year. (Though that would be nice). I wouldn't mind working as an associate attorney or starting my own law firm.
Law firms, self made lawyers move up top from law firms first, forget about the track record the hi-up crimeloards all have private lawyers they getting the dough even if theres no hard case yet 😂
Good questions! Big law usually doesn't do family law. I can't think of a single firm that practices specifically in that area. In big law, you're going to see a lot of Fortune 500 businesses as your clients, focusing on stuff like M&A work, IP law, mass tort, high-dollar contract disputes- stuff that always ties back to a business. Only huge corporates can afford to pay big law fees.
I was hoping to do law after I finished my BA in psych… my bf goes to Harvard and wants to help me get in but if I don’t make it in is it even worth it to do law anymore if you can’t afford to pay off your debt? It seems like a huge risk to me 😬😬😬😬
The risk of taking on that much debt is definitely intimidating! I would say though that there are plenty of great law schools (other that Harvard - though it hurts me to admit 😉), and you can get great jobs out of many schools. It all depends on what kind of job you're looking for, what market you want to work in, etc.
Lawyers move themselves more around cash and report only the necessary to be googled , but they make millions easy .mmm well I’m a lawyer from South America so 🤷🏽♂️
The second most popular false benefit is that you can always represent yourself better than any lawyer can because you know your situation better than anyone else. Correction it is a benefit.
