Dr Giles Yeo is an obesity geneticist, author and science presenter, who specialises in studying the control of bodyweight. He’s also very clued up on the supplements industry after participating in a TV investigation into it, so I made sure we addressed some of your viewer questions surrounding vitamin pills.

This is so informative. We all need so much more information about the fat subject. Thank you Dr Yeo for explaining some of the mysteries. Supplements; what to take is such a nightmare. The Health Store staff are never qualified enough to be able to explain what is needed when and why. I like your comment; "If you can afford to buy supplements, you probably don't need them."

Like all of your interviews, very well done. The straightforwardness and intelligence of this gentleman is refreshing. Instead of being extreme, which is very common today, he balances being analytical and pragmatic. I feel like I've learned something, not like I've been sold a bill of goods.

Hormones. Eat less, move more is way too simplistic. Genetics influence how hormones function.

On the super low carb diet (plenty of meat) I have lost 25 lbs in 6 months, feeling satiated much of the time. Protein and fat help you feel satiated. In so many ways I am healthier.
