I never really thought about Sophie being not-oblivious because I was oblivious to Fitz liking her from the beginning, however I was not oblivious to Dex and Keefe. But now I see that, how she just pushes their love away out of instinct.

thank you for making this video!! i agree so much when i first read the series, i was like "omg sophie is so oblivious what is she doing" but then i've reread it a few times since and i've thought everything u said in this video. imo she always would shut down the thought bc she heard the negative things abt her 24/7 in her childhood and she thought she never could be loved, so she was never oblivious. she saw the signs were there she just doesn't believe them to be true. thanks for reading lmao

I think all of us just like to say She’s oblivious because it makes it easier to understand it that way then just she acknowledges it, but she doesn’t want to say that she acknowledges it

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!! I had always been SO annoyed when people kept calling her "oblivious", they made it sound like she was an idiot. And it bothered me a lot since Sophie is my favourite character in the series (yes, even more than Keefe. Not to say that I don't like Keefe, but I like her better). I couldn't help but take it personally when people hated on her. Guys, she's not oblivious. She's just not ready yet. She had a terrible childhood and a lot of trauma, just give her a break. And yes, I'm Team Foster-Keefe, ALL THE WAYYYY

Um I agree she usually pawns it off and she has so low confidence she doesn't believe anyoen could actually like her but she does realize they are flirting. She just doesn't really want to acknowledge it.
