I am a South African and i hate it when people Politicize our own African music .This song is a hit it and lets just leave it there and appreciate beautiful music from our own continent .After all Nigerians are contributing to the growth of amapiano in all ways .As a South African il say Nigeria thank you for supporting our music the same we support yours .one love
Exactly 💯 The goal is not to be enemies but to further each other's creativity as well as securing the bag 💰... Any other thing is irrelevant at this point.
I am Ghanaian who grew up in the 90s, watching Nollywood movies. That flute was played in village cultural ceremonies, every time there was an occasion. I am sure “the last burial” or “issakaba” has it in it 😅…..odeeeshiii
Thank you. Naija appreciates Southey for giving Africa Amapiano. We will never claim it but always give respects and the flowers to you guys for it. It's a great beat and we are going to do a lot with it.
@@isoryte201 I also appreciate how Nigeria supported and pushed the sound. Music is universal and should unite instead of divide us. I'm definitely loving this niche that Nigeria is currently carving out. The Oja is such a powerful instrument.
When two mature country is talking you will know. But when small country is talking like Ghana you will know. I call it immature country. Assuming is Ghana who invented this amapiano beat they will not let the whole wide world hear word again. By saying Nigeria want to claim their beat. Now I know that common sense is not common. Thanks to my south Africa brother and sisters one love.
That’s s why 9ja and South Africa is the two giant when it’s comes to African music.. just see how good it’s felt when davido gave focalitic his flower in his Dc show infront of 20,000 crowd telling the world he introduce him to amapiano.
As an Igbo guy, I can't help but dance anytime I hear Oja sound, in the ancient times, Oja is used to summon the gods, it's true because anytime it plays, something wakes up in me
I AM AN IGBO MAN FROM EASTERN PART OF NIGERIA WE HAVE BEEN HEARING THIS OJA SINCE WE CAME INTO THIS WORLD BECAUSE ITS PART OF OUR CULTURE BUT ABOUT THIS OJAPIANO IDONT CARE WHO USED IT FIRST BUT BELIEVE ME KCEE IS THE PERSON THAT BROUGHT IT TO LIMELIGHT SO ALL CREDIT GOES TO KCEE FOR THIS WONDERFUL MUSIC
As a South African i dont see the problem we all brothers and sisters and making music should unite as , lets just give credit where credit is due and enjoy the music 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 one love South Africa / Nigeria❤
You can invent something and someone else can be better than you at using it... Nigerians are gradually taking over Amapiano , if you want to argue ask ASAKE
🇰🇪🇰🇪Actually its the best african music i have ever listened nothing can compare to that, the flute, the costumes, the videography is a whole unique vibe🎉🎉
We’re all Africans, we’re one people, we’re one race. It’s all love. AKA (r.i.p 🙏🏽) came through with “Fela in Versace” and Nigerians loved it 💯. Let’s just enjoy good music, give credit where credit is due, and spread love. 🇳🇬 🇳🇬
@@okoyeogo9915 Why are you unnecessarily aggressive? Read and understand before commenting. It’s obvious you didn’t understand what I said. I said - We should all learn to give credit where credit is due - meaning people should give credit to KC for producing a masterpiece. Understood now?
@@mrphone1086plz don’t start flattering yourself, u must come down. No one in this world will do Piano better than SAns nd I’ll live it thre. Stop being delusional now ok. No one understands Yanos like we do. Don’t disrespect us plz.
Am 237🇨🇲 and I adore this music so much . The combination is perfect, the video is just so subliminal. So I don't see y ppl are hating on kcee for creating such a bomb to boost African culture. One Africa, one culture, one music. ❤️
As a Kenyan aeeeem African... I support and will always give credit where it's due. We should continue the African LOVE. I love you all reading this comment irrespective of your race or where you come from.
The Oja has a short range but is capable of playing chromatically. Many players unfortunately have not taken out time to deeply explore the instrument. With lots of practice one can play all keys on the Oja.
Even as a Nigerian, sometimes I wonder how easy it is for our artists to adopt other African countries's genres and even boss their originators. I can confidently say that Nigerians are the most blessed in terms of creative art.
On behalf of all Africans, we don't even care! We support our own music! This is Africa, we don't beef over petty things like this! This is a hit music that already went global. African music is amazing! Worldwide recognized! IGWEEE!
Kolaboy first did it but he named it after his musical first initial “kola piano”. kcee on the other hand named his “Ojapiano” which totally represents our igbo culture. He repackaged it to be more palatable and marketable all over the globe whereas kolaboy never had such vision. Also, kcee’s own made more sense cos it’s kinda singing. Kolaboy is a rapper tho. Igbo to the world is all I care about. Let Kolaboy go and rest joor. He’s being childish now. Saw his comment on Tunde Ednuts post the day ojapiano was released, he was like, “I did it first”. Come on now, that’s jealousy brah. What should the real owners of amapiano (South Africans) now say?
Laughed through out the vedio😂😂.it's exceptional how you uniformly combine humor with information and still get the message across...(KK)kuddos Kontolla
as a south african, I hate when you lie on us for clicks. we really don't care. personally i'm a big fan of afrobeats AND afropiano. i like to think of ojapiano as a subgenre
@@mohammedaminmollexgee-bo4sf Mawungangazi please dont judge me😂. Kunababtu abantsundu who are doing very well for themselves and their families despite ihardship they encountered in the past... Stick to the topic this is about amapiano. Did you watch Young Stunna, Focalistic, Papi Cooper, Musa Keys, Kelvin Momo, Major League DJz performing at Afro Nation in 🇵🇹 chest pains. Taking amapiano 🎶🎶 🎶 and 💃 🕺 💃 moves to the world. Danko
The greatest OJA flute player in Igbo traditional music is Mmuoneke Nwibeakamma. Who plays with Late Pericoma Okoye music. Pericoma & Muoneke popularised this particular Oja tunes.Go and verify
KCEE invented OJAPIANO... Kolaboy's KolaPiano is not an OJAPIANO genre yet the difference is 100% clear but right now I think Kolaboy will tap into it correctly cos Kcee has shown the complete version of Oja in a beat
People do not know the diffrence between an inventor, founder, pioneer and the key role of a populariser in which Kcee belongs now.... talking about Autotuneput it on the key... in the other news Oja in the Yoruba language is Fere Olode for those intrested in researching the Oligopoly flute.
To be honest I don't think they care. They love their Amapiano too much to pay attention to other forms developing outside. Plus they have many different forms of the genre going on from fast to slow to jazz based vibes. Unlike other African countries(more specifically Ghana & Cameroon) always looking over the shoulder of Nigeria because of their own shortfalled music scenes, SA is very secure in their music and is still pushing their music without making noise. They'll be fine.
Let's see where South African artists will be in the next short 3 years and let's see where Ghanaian artists and other African artists will be since you called everyone "shortfailed", so funny. I wonder why you didn't call Nigeria shortfailed. Only a failed person can see failure in success.
@@amoschika4879well nigeria is currently carrying africa on its back and South Africa has the most Grammys in the world and continues to influence the entire African continent with its amapiano. What is ghana doing?
@@pump1180 South Africa is the only country that has ever carried Africa's burden by feeding all of you poor hungry desperate parasitic opportunistic selfish ungrateful tribal African failed nations and not Nigeria that deported Ghanaians in 1983
Bro I am an Igbo from the southern part of Nigeria, the research you take in making this video is top notch. Trying to make sure you find the pioneer of the sound, when you are not a Nigerian shows that you make deep research b4 any uploads. That "E no easy to be wise...." Was funny 😂😂 very creative video
I think the song was an amazing blend of two African sounds one that is popular and one that is still indeginous, kcee didn’t do anything different from all the big stars like Davido and co that have fully incorporated amanpiano with into their sounds. The name Ojapiano fully acknowledges and highlights the Afro-fusion. I respect SA and how their sound has taken the world by storm but if they are going to have smoke for Kcee they have to have smoke for Davido, Asake and other non South Africans using their sound as well, which they don’t seem to mind. As someone who lives with igbos I can tell you that oja is at the heart of their music.
This sound is dope, very creative. Amapiano producers will most definitely work with this guy. Only down turn is the Oja has been used, its nothing new. You would be surprised to know how many African instruments are used in the Amapiano genre
SA ppl always hating we Nigerians will always b bigger in creativity ....u made amapino without vibes we blessed it for u guys wit too much vibes and melody so b grateful😎
@@djfreshy8535 bro why are dey hating on Nigerians hopping on their amapiano sound .... I made a track on amapiano too dats to show u hw we appreciate d sound and am abt doing another .....buh if dey com for us dem go collect
There's no way y'all are more creative than South African in both music and dance. Just count the genres that originated in SA and the dance. We have way more genres than Nigeria which is a sign of creativity.
Guy putting oja in regular beats is very difficult honestly. Putting oja in any music is hard cos oja kind of takes over the entire beat. Same with the Chinese flute, that why produces do t experiment with it. For this quarrel about who started it first, typically shows you why African have become European fighting over African sound. The purest form of music from nature itself
What a continent, instead of celebrating together. SA should be proud that other countries are emulating them, no matter what happens SA invented it. Can you imagine UK accusing Germany that they put their local instrument to pop music and call it any name. We should all grow up. There are more urgent life and death problems we should be tackling. As for music I think the african musicians are doing very well . Let us keep it up and work together.
To be honest with you. Most South Africans are obsessed with their own sound and artists. I’ll be shocked if they even play this song in a South African club where there are no Nigerians. This is only talk on the internet but not in real life
So true I'm a South African and I only heard this song on tiktok and I never saw anyone hating on it like we listen to our music a lot I don't even know the Artist of this song ...I think Nigerians just want to create beef that's not there we don't care about this song in SA we are crazy Tyler ICU is dropping hits after Hits the biggest amapiano song right now is Mnike
Well kolaboy started the ojamapiano sound he called his own kolamapiano but Kcee made it sound better and famous. I never heard Kolaboy’s own until oja came out and I did my research
As a SAn I really don't care, people create things and others will come and put their spices on already existing productions, so yeah they can claim but they know where it all originated from. 🇿🇦
Im born in this land of captivity. I always thought music was suppose to bring our people together in celebration, dance etc..Why do we create a division where one is not needed. The song 🔥and has people dancing together all over the globe.
Same thing happened to kabza de small many people claimed he was not the originator of amapiano, well that might be true but the fact still remains he brought it to limelight same as kcee
The song is 💥. For me i heard the Oja sound so perfect in Ojapiano Kcee. You did justice to the track Kcee. Salute! Amma enjoy the song no matter what 💯
Oja is the centre of Igbo culture, our fore fathers has been playing this sound since time immemorial. Kcee called the track Ojapiano… Oja is the actual name
I don't have a problem with it. I'd be a hypocrite if i did coz even in SA we have hip hop which originated somewhere else. My problem starts when you claim to have invented and made amapiano big as Nigerians coz that is not true. Just coz Foca did a feature with Davido now y'all think you own us and control our sound but nah. Furthermore i know that in the next decade we will have a new sound in SA as we always do so i don't think appropriating the sound makes much of a difference.
Afrobest is west african music genre and Amapiano is South African music genre. The fact is, the truth will come, the truth will come out when its time. So yeka amanga
