Why states are rolling back child labor laws

A Florida-based think tank and lobbying group has drafted state legislation to strip child workplace protections. In Iowa, a bill to roll back some child labor protections passed in the state's Senate and still must pass in the House. A new Arkansas law eliminates work permits and age verification for workers younger than 16. In Missouri, another child labor bill has gained significant GOP support. The Foundation for Government Accountability played a role in all three pieces of legislation. #shorts

Weird fact: There was a study on child labor and it was found to have a very negative effect on the economy. With children being mamed and killed at such a high rate, competing with their parents for jobs and not getting an effective education caused a shortage of skilled labor, wealth distribution, general spending and general worker performance. The birth rate also dropped to dangerous levels, making it so the next generation had a shortage of labor which only increased until complete collapse of the test country. In addition, the cost of insurrection, sabotage, corporate espionage and general theft far exceeded the profit gain of child labor. The system was only able to survive with eventual slavery under an agressive authoritarian dictatorship which increased in cruelty and crimes against humanity until total collapse of the test nation.
