It's just super powers explained by "breathing", and Mid Slayer isn't half as deep as the D-riders talk like it is. Tanjiro can literally smell emotions, it's fuckin dumb lmao. (I do love the show, but if it didn't have the amazing art and animation, it would even be close to as popular as it is.)

@@FunnilyForgettable I mean there isn't anything wrong with something not being deep. Just because you don't find it deep doesn't mean other ppl can't find it deep. I don't really expect anything deep or serious from any shonen, but that is just my personal opinion. For example, i love mashle, even though that anime is ridiculous but i still love it 🤣. Some things are just cool to see ,like some fights but if there is story to it then thats a plus. I love seeing powers in any form of entertainment, so I just think it would have been pretty cool to see the first hashira breathing techniques or powers if that is what you want to call them. I mainly just want more yorichii though

While that is true, the only reason that other breath styles exist is because none of them could learn Sun breathing. He basically separated specific aspects of his style and taught them what they were capable of doing.

I just remembered that in databooks the beef between water and wind hashira is simce sengoku era 💀💀. But only diff is taisho era water hashira doesn't hates him but sengoku era water hahsira hated him from bottom of his heart so did the wind hahsira One more diff, sengoku era water hashira loved flower hashira whereas sengoku wind hahsira had no love intrest. He said yorichi is like giyu lol. And there were 2 more breathing which were never passed down "phoneix " and " shadow breathing" Man i wish Ufotable show these breathing styles 😭😭

Me realizing only 4 of the 9 current hashira have traditional styles: Gyomei, Giyu, and Rengoku (rip), and Sanemi. The other 5 are all original / they're the only users. Insect, Sound, Mist, Love, and Serpant. (Giyu can partially count as both since he made his own Original water breathing form.)

Well it is a compulsion to make a own breathing form to become a hashira just like rengoku make "9th form ' Rengoku'" Each new hashira makes new breathing form so i think we can tell how many hashira's have used a certain style from its no of breathing forms. Spoiler alert: Just wanted to say but this makes Zenitsu an unofficial Hashira because he fulfills all the conditions needed. (Defeat a upper moon/ kill 50 demons and create a own breathing form)

It's pretty inconsistent Zenitsu using thunder breathing does create a thunder sound When muichiro was fighting gyokko using seventh form gyokko said the area seems to be enveloped in a mist And I'd say wind breathing sould create massive gusts of winds As for water and flame being just summoned out of the blue doesn't make sense obviously

@@excalibur8073 well it's said that thunder breathing first form make thunder sound because they use a lot of strength in their leg and then release it which cause a little explosion on the ground and for the wind breathing its a breathing that's based on strength ,rotation and speed. It's powerful and rotative fast strike that make it look like the wind

This is kind of misleading but, technically yorichi was the one that made stone breathing as a way for the other hashira to get stronger. They couldn’t comprehend sun breathing and it was too hard for them/ didn’t match their style, so yorichi worked with them and that’s how different styles came about. I thought it was misleading be cause he said that stone breathing was one of the oldest breathing styles, but most of the breathing styles were created around the same time, and it sounded like he implied that it was the hashiras themselves created the breathing styles.

I don't think yoriichi was ever counted as one of the hashiras. He is above them in strength and his tsugukos are probably the hashiras themselves. Why would a sun be considered equal to the planets orbiting it ? I think it's also a good comparison strengthwise. Gyomei can be likened to Jupiter, the biggest planet.

Solar system-hashira comparison imo : Sun : Tanjiro Mercury : Giyuu since he is closest to Tanjiro Venus : Kanroji obviously Earth : Kocho, since insects live on earth Mars : Rengoku, since he is red😂 Jupiter : Gyomei, biggest strongest Saturn : Tengen, since he has many wives(moons) Uranus : Obanai, because he is icy like Uranus and one of his eyes is kinda blue Neptune : Sanemi since Neptune got extremely volatile storms, just like him Pluto : Tokito, since he is the smallest and youngest😅

@@CartoonsAds not in a sense that he is the strongest, i already stated Gyomei to be the strongest current hashira. It's just that he is the only one who inherits sun breathing, albeit imperfect. He is also similar to a ray of hope, since he is the first marked in the current generation of hashiras and thus unlocking the marks in other hashiras just like Yoriichi did, enabling them to defeat Muzan and his upper moons. Without Tanjiro, there will be no mark and sun breathing techniques in current timeline, and Muzan will still be alive.

Apparently stone breathing is the only real technique where the effects can actually be seen. In hashira training when gyomei is protecting himself from the needles we can see tiny stones surrounding him. But that’s only happening because gyomei is whipping the ground and brings the stones up to him.

I mean to use the breathing also we see that all of the form required you to slam your weapon into the ground/move it fast That mean you pretty much need the same weapon as gyomei,where it have a capability of getting slammed everytime it used,and as we know gyomei weapon is very long (cuz of the chain),and looks pretty heavy compared to all of the hashira sword,which mean even just the weapon itself is already hard to use for more people That pretty much mean you need to be gifted in strenght in the first place to atleast be good at using the weapon normally And the breathing style also makes it harder Example is is the third form of the breathing (stone skin),which appear to be a barrage of attack near gyomei That itself requires you to have great strenght and great speed to be capable of moving your flail and axe on a fast pace Even the second form (upper smash) require you to have a strong lower body to be able to slam the chain into the ground so your flail could hit the enemy in a short time

The timeline is wrong. Its known that Yoriichi and Kokushibo were born in the Sengoku period, and at that time, the Demon Slayers did not have a Hashira ranking system, so its not possible that the first Hashira came before Yoriichi. Yoriichi almost killed Muzan, the other upper moons would have been a peice of cake for him. So he would've been a Hashira, but Yoriichi had no rank, which meant that no rank even existed at the time. The proof for this is that there is prob no way that the first hashira was stronger than Yoriichi, so you can't possibly rank Yoriichi's level less than a Hashira

As Above so Below, If Sun Breathing is akin to the Breath of the Heavens, than it makes sense that Stone Breathing is the Breath of the Earth and by extension no less of a Force to Reckon with , perhaps not equal but certainly not lesser by any significant margin, but sadly that also includes the incredible physical ability needed to perform it much less master, not to mention the Toll on the body by extension.

Gyomei is a hashira at the time being Tanjiro is not yet a hashira. A little correction, still Yoriichi is the strongest demon slayer even not a hashira. Tanjiro is on his way to become the strongest Demon slayer because he is only a teenager and still he is not on his peak adulthood. Hashira is bestowed to demon slayers with outstanding experience and skill. Massive spoilers ahead! Gyomei is the Strongest Demon Slayer during the final Arc... Tanjiro only comes close to Gyomei's level when he learns that he has been using fire breathing all wrong! It's a dance and a Dance has a routine. It's like Tanjiro's father said....."you will be able to dance forever" We know that Gyomei is at his physical peak and can use all his senses at max, along with the see through world technique. Tanjiro also has that but not the physical power Gyomei has, nor the depth of experience Gyomei has. The true hero is Yoriichi, Shinobu and Tamayo. Muzan would have destroyed them all if he wasn't weakened and we learn that Muzan can't concentrate properly due to the Cuts that Yoriichi gave him still burning him hundreds of years later.

@@zazoreal5536absolutely wrong, in the final arc, tanjiro mastered sun breathing, not only that, but he's now at the lvl of kokushibo's/michikatsu's lvl, and one thing is wrong, rengoku should have been the strongest hashira but he wasn't because he didn't had mastered flame breathing, but still he became hashira without mastering flame breathing, the opposite goes to tanjiro, tanjiro killed upper moon 6 4 and 3 with the help of only one hashira in each fight, but he still didnt become a hashira, now think how much strong rengoku is

The stone breather before himejima wasnt as strong as him but used a chain and sickle so i think its a required weapon for stone breathers, and chain and sickle is a very hard weapon to master let alone anything with rope-like weapons, so they're probably rare because of the wepon requirement, and the breathing techniques

Big brain moment. If stone breathing was a thing in the sengoku era and yorichi was supposed to be the first to learn breathing styles then how is there a hashira with stone breathing if yorichi was the first to learn it. It was also stated that yorichi taught people how to use breathing styles. What's weird to me also is that even before yorichi joined the demon slayer corps that there was a stone breathing hashira. Fun fact demon slayers who use stone breathing generally don't use katanas/swords they use the use other types of weapons I believe the fist stone hashira used a pair of sickles and current stone uses a axe connected to a metal ball connect by a chain.

The techniques actually existed before Yoriichi. The element techniques existed lon before, Yoriichi only taught them total concentration and how to breathe, not the techniques.

There were hints to this given in the manga, such as the pillars already being dressed in their style, and having their fighting style tsuba. The flame pillar of the time already had this, plus the flame coloured hair which is like that because of a ritual that their family has. It was even said that the flame an water swordsmen were rivals from the beginning of the slayer corp. The demon slayer corp was made almost 500 years before Yoriichi. The styles existed, just not the breathing.
