In this video, Kendra goes through the house history of the Creel House and uncovers why they probably picked this house in Rome, Georgia as the set location. The house is a Second Empire, which is a Victorian style defined by the mansard roof.

"because it is a Victorian house, I'm legally required to talk about it," I love you for that! ❤😻❤🏡

I said the same thing too when Max was drawing. I thought to myself, either I am very obtuse to my surroundings even in high pressure situations or we’re really suppose to believe she remembered all that detail after experiencing all of that? Lol I’ve noticed over the seasons they like to recreate situations so this was clearly an Easter egg to when Will drew the map of Hawkins and Joyce noticed his crayon lines connect. My favorite is Lucas always being so sure a monster won’t bust through their makeshift barricade haha.

Yeah, I was laughing. To have a drawing that is so accurate it can be morphed into a house with a few folds. It's not what my drawing or perception skills would get you lmao

Just found your video. Creel house sold this past Dec. Kicking myself for not taking a tour while it was on the market. (Had no idea at the time that it was used in Season 4. Late to the party is my middle name.)

And I thought I was lucky to just have seen the house with my own eyes, the current state of it is gorgeous! How was the house inside? Anything cool?

The current owners of the house are putting it back on the market for sale. It's listed with a local real estate company.

I just saw a Funko Pop figure of this house at Barnes and Noble. I’m not a collector, don’t particularly like stranger things, but considered getting it because of how much I love that style of house.

As a past sufferer of a compound (bones out) lower limb snapping, I can concur on the very specific requirement of no bones snapping and I'm good.

I had a Victorian farm house, built in 1892. It didn't have anything fancy about it, except fish-scale shingles above the upstairs windows in front, and a transom window over the front door that I uncovered when I realized what it was. I loved that the previous owner, Josephine, lived there 50 years. I didn't change much while I owned it, because even though the wallpaper was peeling in places, none of it had been removed, so there was a record of all the wallpaper over the years. I found that delightful. There was a big wrap-around porch too. And the wood floor in the kitchen had burnt marks in front of where the old wood-burning cook stove had been. Too much more to add here. I found out who owned it before Josephine by looking at census records. The current owner gutted the house to make three apartments to make money. He could easily have made it into two by just locking one door inside the front door and using the kitchen door for downstairs. There isn't much left of it now, although he kept it looking similar on the outside.

@@UrMumsies No, it isn't. It was a Bed & Breakfast for many years, but it has been privately owned for a while now. And yes, I've stayed there. This has always been my favorite house in Rome and I remember one time when it was for sale for $335,000...and I didn't buy it. If only I could have!! However, I was in college at the time (Berry- also used for filming many things) and there was no way I could afford that.
