A new book/ebook: "What Foreigners Need To Know About America From A To Z: How to understand crazy American culture, people, government, business, language and more.” Endorsed worldwide by ambassadors, educators, and editors, it paints a revealing picture of complex America to help those who will benefit from a better understanding, including international students. It also has chapters that identify the most common English grammar and speech problems foreigners have. Good luck to all!

@feey0x Usually, you can choose to stay on campus. However, if you're going on a long term break/vacation such as Summer Vacation, colleges might require their students to leave their campus residence.

@RobzFanpire If you have some money, you can probably rent a room/apartment OR find some American students from the university you're planning to go to and arrange a plan where you guys can split the costs in renting a place to stay.

@GhostZodick no, Canada is. US still doesn't have universal health care, or gay marriage across all 50 states.

This was propaganda if I ever did see it. "Me, me, me!" with no actual fact or reasoning behind it. I've read it's far easier to get into US universities and colleges AND graduate because they are so generous and non-competitive. They don't really evaluate for knowledge, but they will tell you they're the most intellectual and forward-thinking people on the planet. Breadth of programs is great, but please don't try to entice me with mere beaches for my future education!
