I actually heard about the idea of completely replacing the windows with screens. During normal driving it just shows the output of cameras and for passengers or, ideally, self driving, displays entertainment. This was from some tech company exec. It's quite stupid but they are aiming for windowless cars.

True. The car division of Samsung is owned by Renault-Nissan for quite some time though. The Renault Talisman is a rebranded Samsung for instance. One of the Samsung SUV's is a Nissan Qashqai/Rogue underneath. The Renault Kadjar is a Qashqai too. Renault-Dacia-Samsung are basically the same brand. Nissan-Mitsubishi-Datsun-Venucia are the other pillar. Together they own a majority share in AutoVAZ(Lada) too.

Imagine selling an engineless car with a plethora of engine options or they could install any engine you request and that would add onto the value/cost? So they'd hold your car until you approved an engine out of a list or something. Idk I think it'd be interesting if executed correctly.

@ThePatUltra the forgotten idea of human self preservation is what I'm getting at. But not about correcting human error. Humans are proven to have saved more planes from the same systems an AI relies on to operate failing. Than humans have caused commercial aircraft to crash. We focus on the 2 or 3 commerical crashes in a year out of millions of flights and do not focus on the many thousands of "doomed" aircraft without pilots to address a mechanical or ATC logistical issue.

Car crashes are the same way. The NTSB rules many crashes as a failure of the vehicle but insurance agents and lawyers make recalls scarce. So if it only kills a few people alright, kills a thousand in a year that's an issue.

That's actually a terrible comparison because the standards for being a pilot are so high. If car drivers had to live up to airline pilot standards, there would be no car crashes at all. Also, airliners are always flown by two people, so it would be like having a driving instructor in the passenger seat all the time.

How overpriced are raycon and Beats you might be wondering? Well I don't work for either company so cost of production is unknown to me, but looking at other headphones (using Beats for this example) from Beats competition in the same price range you wind up with 2 major markets: Closed back isolation headphones (Bose, Sony and Sennheisser are the three big players in this market) where build quality, materials, sound quality, sound stage (how 3D things can sound I.E. being able to point in the direction of members of an audience in a live album) and even and even noise cancellation are far inferior despite being comparable price wise. That's just Beats though, surely Raycon aren't such a big scam right? Well Dankpods has two excellent videos on Raycon earbuds, namely their awful sound, ludicrously bass heavy even by earbud standards, the build quality of Raycon is pretty shocking. Like super concerningly bad, many stories of the left bud failing completely, the hinge being made of cheap and flimsy plastic that also broke super easily, people finding very similar buds on AliExpress (they are not the same internals but 100% someone ripped of the design of the other company) plus the general lack of dependability and reliability when compared to cabled earphones keeps making Raycon look awful, don't get me wrong I hate that video sponsorships exist and the necessity of them but I will gleefully tell everybody that talks about Raycons to never buy them
