The 350z is for sure a better bang for your buck if someone wants to build a reliable cheaper drift car ready with good hp out the box, that’s gonna be a better choice for that. The reason the 350z is a better bang for the bucks is cause it’s already reliable and fast , the 240 simply is not, they can be but you’ll do a lot more work on the 240 than the 350z. I would know I got a Silvia, The 240sx situation that’s been goin on past year is pretty ridiculous. they’re overpriced now, you’re no longer getting what you pay for. I don’t care what anyone says: a beat ,gutted ,rusty subframe 240sx with a ka is not worth $7000 (pure example of today’s 240 market) I get supply and demand but simply just not worth it at this point.And sure both cars can look great, but let’s focus only on power the 350z dosnt need much once you buy it compared to the 240s ka slug. There is a lot of aftermarket support for both, however in my personal opinion I think the 240 looks best but I no longer want to take my 240sx to the track because honestly I’d feel bad if I were to reck it because they’re so damn expensive to replace. If you wanna build a sexy car for cruises and light drifts ,the 240sx is the move. But if you wanna build a absolute drift slut ( we’re talking Riley Reid on the track ) 350z is that drift car now.

Dude drives a Z for a few hours and “it’s better then a 240” lol. For a beginner, yes. But good luck keeping up with anyone who isn’t driving a stock set up on track. Highly recommend getting an oil cooler if it doesn’t have one

I own a G35 and I must say, the ONLY issue i’ve had with VQ35DE in 3 years is the Oil, which still event that bad of a problem. Overall VQ’s are reliable, and fun!! Typical Nissan 🥰🎉

resonated test pipes work wonders for the annoying rasp in vq’s, see if you can pick up a used pair of art pipes it helps a lot w the sound
