No Simp. If you watch my reviews, you see that I said that the show is not very good. That doesn’t mean that what the people I’m talking about in this video are doing is right. It isnt. There are no lesbians on the show. Two people coparenting children that they conceived together because one could and one couldn’t, and they are Friends and colleagues doesn’t make then gay, even if one cups the other’s face to reassure them about something. It isn’t right, what they are doing, all to get clicks.

And you can make all the assumptions you want but when you then take that assumption and make a sensational article title, or sensational thumbnail out of it because you know people will click on it you’re being a dick. It is a particular source of heartbreak for my wife because her friend has always wanted kids and her friend would make an excellent mother. So I know for a fact that if, when my wife was still of childbearing age, her friend had asked her to carry a child for her with her husband’s contribution from a test tube, she wouldn’t have hesitated. And if her friend then asked her to be a parental figure in the child’s life she would’ve done it. What you’re saying is if the male contribution from a test tube had come from a stranger and not my wife’s friend’s husband, and if they were both single, and if they decided to move in together to share expenses and raise the kid that you would think they were lesbians if one of them ever touched the face of the other one to reassure them about some thing. That’s completely ridiculous. And now you’re going to remind me that one of the actresses is gay and that the writer is gay and that all of it together means the characters are gay. I’m sorry it doesn’t. And the thing is it doesn’t matter. If they’re gay, they’re gay. That doesn’t make the show bad and it isn’t something to scream about at the top of your virtual lungs. So from where I sit, anybody who does that because A: they don’t like gay people and/or B: they know it will get them clicks is an asshole.

The official Disney Star Wars website states they are a couple and the witch coven wouldn’t be able to continue culturally or population wise if they A: don’t have men on the planet to help repopulate (as stated in the show). B: live on an isolated planet with no outside contact (as stated on the show). C: no one leaves the coven regularly, interact with the outside world, or comes in from the outside world as shown in the show itself. Therefore they are a lesbian witch coven that continues on existing for generations off a ritual to make force babies otherwise they wouldn’t be able to keep going. They’d die in one generation which is one of two huge plot holes. Either they creat force babies regularly. Or they interact with men by some capacity which contradicts the coven’s policy and culture they founded them on where they don’t interact with the outside world or men. I didn’t make this story I’m just asking the logical questions that contradict it. They’re the ones making this about sex, gender, and politics. I wouldn’t have those questions if this wasn’t front and center of the story contradicting itself or making plot holes.

I mean, I think the kind of thing you’re talking about has happened to some degree in Star Wars but I don’t think it’s been ever present. I don’t think it’s been the case over and over at this point. And I don’t think very many of the entries have been badly written. Obi-Wan Kenobi certainly was badly written, if not the dialogue, the plot points. They were awful. At least half of them. But I think everything else has been good, even Boba Fett, which, you know, took a teaspoon of sugar to get down. And of course the sequels weren’t great. But I’ve liked everything else either a lot or just a little. And I can understand not liking something. I am not in love with this program. OK, but you’re not taking into account that she might’ve said that just to be cheeky. Ultimately, I don’t care what they said behind the scenes. There’s nothing in the show that absolutely says that those characters were gay. And it almost doesn’t matter. Because, even if they are gay, the point is, that isn’t some thing to make a thumbnail about in a complaining way. If they’re gay, they’re gay. Why is it an issue? That’s the point. They’re making an issue of it because it makes the money.

There are things about the show that I do not like. I’ve said so in my reviews of the episodes. But some of the things being said about it simply are not true. Who says Anakin isn’t special? He would still be only the second time it happened in 100 years. That seems pretty special to me. Please recite to me the dialogue where they said they know the force better than anyone else or are more powerful than anyone else because I missed it.

They stated that as a truth that they believe that was then confirmed since they did what neither the Jedi, sith or night sisters could do. Again, nuns and priests and monks live in gender homogeneous groups in real life and they’re often all celibate. No one says they’re all lesbians or all homosexuals. So why can’t you believe that that would be the case with a group of women living together for a purpose, to practice a craft, on a TV show? Like, really? How are they making things about gender and identity? These witches have been in Star Wars since the clone wars. They’ve been almost exclusively female covens since then. Whos identity have they made any mention of? You’re making stuff up. Show me where anything official from Star Wars says that they are a couple.

I hear what you’re saying, but I don’t think we’re disagreeing. I have acknowledged that there are things about some Disney Star Wars projects that weren’t great. The witches are no more all lesbians then is your average convent of nuns. There has been absolutely zero sexual activity on the show. This isn’t to say that they don’t care about Star Wars and it isn’t to say that they don’t have legitimate gripes. But what they’re doing in the specific case of these two things that they’re saying is they are making up bullshit. It’s absurd.

But we have interviews and publications from the people at Disney involved with the project and on this particular show for instance they said themselfes "this is (...) the gayest Star Wars" or "I think that Star Wars is so gay already". This comes from the people who run this show. So they create a bad show and beforehand publicly brag about how gay their version of Star Wars is. So the whole "lesbian" talking point is something they brought on themselfes really. But it is used as a symbolic talking point by the critics really. Because the critisism is that they don't focus on making a good show, the're focused on bringing their own concepts into it and abuse the brand as a vehicle. That on itself would not necessarily be a bad thing, if they also made a good show. Because these two must not necessarily contradict. But they don't make a good show, so the ge criticism for it. Now they from Diseny themselfes again say now all who criticise the show don't like woke ideas, hate women and are racist, when in reality they criticise because the show itself is bad. So it's the people from Disney themselfe again who make the whole wokeness of the show a talking point. The (in my opinion legit) criticism now is that they only focus on puting in inclusive ideas and don't make the story, the worldbuilding or anything else a priority. The "lesbian witches" is more a joke and a symbol for what in their opinion goes wrong at Disney's Lucas Film. So criticising that it isn't stated that they really are lesbians is besides the point.

On hat are you basing this? That they’re two people of the same gender who decided to conceive and coparent children together? You know that straight women get together and do that all the time, right? When one friend can’t have a child because of her biology and her friend volunteers, or agrees when asked, to carry the child for their very good friend, and then to be part of the child’s life as a parental figure? You know that that happens in real life right, between straight lady friends, with the use of donor sperm, sometimes? You know that, for example, catholic nuns all live in convents together without any men, and that most of them are not lesbians,right? That they are just celibate? And you know that one nun might cup the face of one of her sister nuns to reassure her about something from time to time, without the two of them being gay, right? I understand what you’re talking about and you might be right that it’s all deliberate. But I think a lot of it has to do with the mindset that you go in with. What I’m calling out in this video is taking something on screen that barely suggests homosexuality, if at all, and stretching it to a definitive claim of homosexuality, and then on top of that Making something of it as though it makes the show bad which it doesn’t, though there may be other things that do, and then on top of that sensationalizing it, and getting people twisted for clicks. They explain the underlying concepts of their criticisms and point out patterns and give examples. For example, Star Wars has destroyed the characters most beloved by its lifelong fans, like Luke Starwalker. Even the actor himself had said this was not what Luke Skywalker was supposed have ended up as. They turn our heroes into broken, depressed, alcoholic has-beens. Not only to Luke, but also to Han Solo and characters in other franchises, like Indiana Jones. The last Indiana Jones movie was a spit in the face of Indiana Jones fans. Disney does it so often that it has its own term: "character assassination". I do also enjoy the various animated series (even bad batch), but I don't really consider them mainline franchise offerings even though they have vastly better writing than the live action stuff. I watched the first two seasons of the Mandalorian and thought only 2 episodes were decent, the rest, while well shot, were overhyped and poorly written. That all said, I think Star Wars as a whole has been on the decline since the Special Edition re-releases, and was all but dead in my eyes with the Phantom Menace. Disney has just been dry humping it's corpse.

But what I’m saying is that things that come out now aren’t even given a chance. Yes some stuff has been done badly and handled poorly and I understand why people are upset. The problem is the fifth taken that and they’ve turned it into a massive massive acts that they grind at every opportunity before projects even come out. They don’t give anything a chance. It was never marketed as an integral piece to the Star Wars story. It was marketed as the most lgbtp friendly Star Wars show ever. To your next point, let's look at the first 3 episodes. The first 2 are in line with developing a story and plot point. The 3rd episode did not relate to that storyline nor advance that storyline in any way, shape, or form.

Watch the interviews, the primary writer and many of the actors have outright stated intent to make this "the gayest Star Wars ever". IE they have already publicly declared that "the message" is their primary concern, with lore and quality distant afterthoughts...

If you were genuinely trying to have a discussion you wouldn’t be doing that. Everything you’re saying has been disproven by Disney on the official Star Wars website and by the show runner in multiple interviews.

I guarantee you the amount of content they make that is positive about anything is minuscule in comparison to the content they make that rage hates on things. There’s giving a shit and speaking up and there’s giving a shit and making shit up to complain about it so that you can make money and that’s what they’re doing. I’m aware of the things that they said in the marketing. So what? There might be some gay people in Star Wars now. So fucking what? That isn’t a valid complaint. I’m not simping at all. If you watched my reviews of the episodes, you know that I said there are problems. What I’m pointing out in this particular video is that there’s a difference between saying something is subpar and saying that it’s garbage because you know garbage is a buzz word that will get you clicks. There’s a difference between criticizing something legitimately and making shit up so that you can rage complain about it because you know it will make you money. There is no cope. I’m just calling out what I see is bullshit. I have said in my own reviews that the show isn’t great. The differences I criticize it honestly. If they said that they were doing certain things because they wanted to make a certain part of the audience cry, and that’s terrible. But that doesn’t change the quality of the shell. The show is either good or bad despite that. So talk about the dumb shit they said and criticize them for saying it but don’t then say that the show is bad because they put gay people in it , and because you know why they did it. The gay people being there doesn’t make it bad. And there aren’t even any gay people yet.

Because if you have something that never happened and is a work of fiction they made up to essentially say "Disney Star Wars Bad!", i'd like to hear it. You can't blame people with a large audience for voicing their opinion in order to make videos that sell though, because if the roles were reversed and you had several hundreds of thousands of followers, you'd also chime in on the content. Because honestly at this point, whether you're making content hating or loving this show, it'll generate engagement regardless, and i'm certain you were well aware of that when making this video. Also, the fact that you're saying it like that while ignoring the rest of what I said is just plain insincere on your point. Nowhere was it said there there shouldn't be gay people in Star Wars. What was being said is, and i'll say it again, Star Wars fans, nerds for lack of a better word, were all made out by the lead actress for being gay, that this Star Wars show is the gayest Star Wars show in history, that Star Wars has always been gay at its core and that it aimed to make white people cry. Please respond to the whole thing and don't cherry pick it to come out as the morally superior person. No one gives a shit if someone is gay or not, it's the implications being made that are just bullshit. And the fact that they said they want to make white men, like yourself cry, should say quite a lot.

What i'm going to say next is going to look like a lot, so i'll break it down into points to make it easier to read through it and respond. And again, thank you for taking the time to have an honest debate about it. Once this is out of the way, i'd love to dig deeper into the actual logistics of Star Wars, but lets go through this first. 1. "Can you run that by me again?" I sure can. You said earlier that there is a difference between giving a shit and making shit up, and that these larger channels like Nerdrotic or Critical Drinker for instance made things up in order to push the narrative train of "Star Wars Bad!" for clicks, likes and money. But what part exactly did they make up? 2. This is what the above was referring to in part, but the witches being gay may have been a bit of a stretch in some part, but the official description provided by Disney Star Wars is that Mother Aniseya (or however that is written) is the 'lesbian' leader of the coven. Does that mean all of the witches are lesbian? Dunno, don't really care. But Leslye Headland and Kathleen Kennedy felt that it was very important to make it known that the leader of the all-female coven that 'made' two force sensitive children by molding the Thread was in fact Lesbian. So take that how you will. But there has been confirmation of it, so it's not made up. 3. As for the thumbnail, the video name and the generating of clicks, I think that in both cases it should be fine. For a lot of these people, their RU-vid channels are their jobs, so they want their work to be seen so money can be made. That's just the way of the world. I've personally been going through a lot of content in recent months since I for one am rather apathetic to what Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, the Witcher and Doctor Who have become. I've been through the part where I was enraged or sad about people ruining it with politics and a woke agenda, the pushing of ESG/DEI scores etc etc. However, saying these people are just saying things for the sake of saying things isn't fair nor true in most cases. As you can see in other videos, people like them have been fans of Star Wars in the past. I'll refer to Star Wars Theory, the biggest Star Wars RU-vidr on the planet with over 3 million followers. Even he has gotten to the point where bad Star Wars projects and contents have him driven up a wall. As he personally says a lot, "Feel free to voice your concern and discontent, but be clear and respectful about it", which is something I wholeheartedly agree with. 4. The fact that some of these massive RU-vidrs don't see a lot of what the smaller channels say, or what people write underneath their videos isn't all that strange when you take it all into consideration. I've never been much of a fan of Twitter/X, and prefer to just stick to discussing things on RU-vid. I don't often speak up, and when I do people tend to ignore it or outright don't see it. Which is fair, but the point itself remains. Personally, I feel like saying "This is why Acolyte haters need to shut the F up" is also somewhat insincere, and i'll try to explain why. 5. Some of the things you've said in the video and as a response to me is more or less exactly the same rubbish the mainstream media throws our way. "The Acolyte isn't ruining Star Wars - YOU ARE!". "Toxic Fans Review Bomb the Acolyte!". Yada yada yada. If you make good content, the majority of people will say that it is good content, and some of the people with super high standards will still call it trash. That'll never change. But to say the Acolyte is in any way good content is saying Velma is a good Scooby Doo show. It's a ridiculous self-insert from a woman who has never had anything to do with Star Wars being given a multimillion dollar check to "Have a go at Star Warsing". It's ridiculous. The sheer amount of bullcrap these writers have thrown at us in the show, the stuff they said to the media, the stuff Leslye Headland and Amandla Stenburg are flinging into the world, it's all utter and complete garbage. One of the two lead writers never saw or read Star Wars. When she was asked what she knew about it she said something along the lines of "It's Indiana Jones and his dog flying around the galaxy", them having a laugh and saying "You're hired". They put stuff into the show called "Spacecream", which is literally Icecream but in space. They had a lantern burning down a stone fortress. They had siblings who supposedly love one another repeatedly tell one another they'd kill them. And if the obviously terrible writing itself wasn't enough, the fact that they made a Wookie somehow look nothing like a Wookie, had Leslye's wife play a jedi master with a whip, had Carrie-Anne Moss for exactly one episode just to die to a kitchen knife when "strong black women" can apparently survive getting stabbed in the gut by a lightsaber not once but twice, even though the act should effectively implode your organs on impact, told people in massive talkshows that they set out to make "white men cry", wanted to redo the origins of Star Wars, called all nerds gay and were fine with making the gayest Star Wars after putting out several statements about how women are being subjected to male hate, you have to stand and wonder. Maybe the problem isn't with the fans, the problem lies with Disney Star Wars and their weird practice of making Star Wars increasingly less Star Warsy with their weird politics and agenda policies?

But until you show me that article where the show runner said, for a fact, that one character is a lesbian, or give me a better description of where I can find it myself, I’m sticking to my assertion that they aren’t lesbians, none of them, and that saying that they are is bullshit because they know it will get clicks. It’s yellow journalism.

In order to properly respond to you, you’d have to remind me of more of what I said wasn’t fair. For now I’ll try to respond. One should always be fair. Even when others aren’t. One should never fail to maintain integrity just because others may have. I’m not perfect at this, but I’m way better at it than others are. Other RU-vidrs are not merely expressing their opinion. They are making things up, exaggerating things, and sensationalizing for personal gain. All the time. I simply give an honest, fair, opinion, and give credit where its due along side criticism. They do not. I’m an honest dealer. They are not. I don’t see why males wouldn’t like current SW. It has issues, but its also done well in other ways. No reason men can’t like it. The problems it does have are not related to male/female concerns, in my view.

I have found some of Disney Star Wars to be less than good but there’s a way to express that honestly and that’s what I do. And it’s got nothing to do with political reasons. It’s got to do with whether something is good or not good. I don’t think it should be defended or shit on for political reasons. But the people that I talked about are definitely shitting on it for political reasons. They’re shitting on what they don’t like about it sure but it’s because of politics. And I don’t even mind that. What I mind is when they’re manipulating an audience by exaggerating things that are barely there or straight up being intellectually dishonest for clicks.

They’re not justified. There was no embrace. There was caressing. Female friends do that. Its gay suggestive, sure. Its not enough to talk about the whole coven being lesbians. At most, 2 are. And that is what the reach is. Gay people have been writing TV shows and movies for decades on decades up on decades, without including gay people. So you see one person, caress another person and automatically they’re gay because the writers are gay. That’s the reach, not me. Have you ever heard about a convent of nuns? They’re not all gay just because they’re all women living alone without guys and they might touch each other’s hands every now and then or something. So to take what happened on the show and extrapolate that they’re all gay is just absurd. As for Aniken, I understand the point, but you know something happening twice in 100 years is still special. So to say that it takes away from him that’s just not true.

I said idk about the coven, but the two mothers are in a relationship. They are definitely gay and it is a reach to try and say otherwise. As far as Anakin goes… and it’s Anakin, not Anekin. I feel like someone making a video about Star Wars telling people to stfu should know this. The reason they’re writing it in is to undermine what the Jedi believed and likely continue the lore in a way that they want, to change something in future writings.

Again, a caress and an embrace are not the same thing and as I said, it’s a gay suggestive, but to definitively say that it was romantic and that they’re gay is absurd. They are definitively saying they are definitely absolutely 100% gay. That is a stretch of what is on screen. If you don’t know that the problem is you not me.
