In order to take advantage of the new ark passive system, you need enough points to make it as good as or better than the existing 5x3+1 engraving system because the relic T4 accessories simply don't give enough points. For that, you need ancient T4 accessories that are not even in the game yet, so all they can do is waiting for the next raid to come out and only then can they start using that system. That feels strange because you cannot really interact with the system that changes how many classes play because they simply don't have the content that gives you enough points to use it - they might have as well delayed the ark passive system.
72 points are needed to activate the class engraving 14 pts are from Horizontal content + 46 pts max for relic + 12 pts per 62 level = 72 points (field boss gives ancient accessories) main problem is the ancient equipment without which you cannot activate the analog of the set in t4
I honestly can imagine getting Ark Passive instantly without grind, it is like new talent trees or their rework in other MMOs, they are generally also not locked behind paywall or months of grind. More and more is being confirmed that T4 is from big part just way how to monetize (re-sell) previous systems which we already completed. Sure, it bring some good stuff too, but it is far from being just generally positive. Oh and to answer your question, I am very sure we will not get any different version of Ark Passive for west, AGS is not capable do any menaningful changes. For elixirs gold nerf we had to wait till it will be done for KR instead of having it from release (because so little time to grind gold for that)...
It's SGS so of course even the fun has to be time gated. Just happy people start to realize what some of us said since the announcement, that T4 is no reset at all, just a bunch of old systems turned into more gold sink nobody asked for.
Ark passive was suppose to address the concerns that characters builds take too much investment to unlocks just the basically functionality of playing the class the way the devs intended it to be played locking this behind weeks or months of progress is the same issue we have in tier 3. Just getting your class to function properly should not be a progression system
If I understood the system right, I can only say one thing: "It will take months! Even for whales, because the system is attached to the gear you have! So to fully utilize it, you the to be fully geared with T4, that's including the Raid gear, that will take months to get! Until then we will be utilizing the old system!" I guess that was more than one thing XD
As soon as I read the document posted by KR people on lostarknexus it was obvious the system was very poorly designed on both the ark passive part and the new class engravings, using it before you get full ancient points of armor and accesories is just a damage loss and at that point why even have relic quality???, But did we really expect any better from one of the three bozos? A bozo elevated to director position is still a bozo and only a bozo could think up of a system that is completly unusable untill you are max gear from the next raid tier. If the new head bozo had any brains he would have taken a page out of the skill point system book when designing the new system and would make the system useable immediatly while also leaving a place for growth, but I guess thats expecting too much.

Every mmo that came out in the last few years and even had a p2w system in it there was always a big difference between the two categories lost ark in my opinion the only game that knew how to stabilize it in the right place p2w in lost ark almost doesn't change anything except your ability to be accepted into any group a strong weapon doesn't matter if you I don't know how to play, so I think there will be changes in this system too, and the players who don't do p2w won't feel disadvantaged, so I don't think there's anything to worry about or be alarmed because Lost Ark has proven many times that p2w is not that valuable in this game.
first off and unrelated to this video, you are missing out by not making any follow-up videos. you are always asking people to comment and it generates some activity, but people will never get the chance to feel "heard". think about it. x) that's the whole appeal that comes with streaming and why people stick around. it's the interaction. or if anything you should respond to more comments even if it's just an emote reaction. but that's only my opinion. but getting on topic and excuse me if it comes across as offensive, as usual the unwashed masses are overreacting. without hyper awakening page and extra skills / utility coming from it it's obvious that it's going to be garbage. also the reason it will take some people longer to get into the system is because they've been fomoing the shit out of T3 progression, thereby increasing the gap to get to the next power increase in T4. this will not be the case for new players or alts going into T4 with event gems and free engraving support and they will take less time getting to that power spike. (mainly due to the extra evolution damage multiplier which people still haven't grasped because they don't know math) smilegates only mistake here was their inability to include trixion because now there is no way to get a taste of the new system until they fix it and that is what will give players the incentive to - again - start fomoing for the system, aka. over-hone their gear to farm the new raids, better chaos dungeon, better guardian, whatever for ancient tier. it would be a completely different picture if the raid was already in the game and that's not too far away either. tldr people fail to see the big picture and are crying about smilegate giving people extra time to farm mats before dropping the new raid and hyper awakening skills.
the point is, it's now a new sytem, it's system that should be replacing old one on future, so if you can't use both of it right now, nobody will use, just because their champ becames much weaker, it's better be like 2-4 weeks until some people start replacing old t3 engravings and stuff with new sh!t. Will somebody use ark passive with "few" points like you mentioned? No shot. When you activate it old stuff stop working, so newly transfered to t4 1640+ champ using ark passive will be much weaker than others using t3 with even lower GS, nobody need to rush, we can slowly transfer, and all other players who are still in t3, which is majority are getting insane amount of resourses to catch up in t3
To be fair the problem is not about using the system immediately. Take WoW for example, the war within is coming with Hero Talent system added, and you will need to level first to 80 to get a full benefit of the hero talent, so it's not an instant gain. Even the season between raid expansion you can't really get new raid item immediately, it will take a while until you can access. Before that? well you have to live with the old gear for a while The actual problem is how long is the time needed for player to get the full benefit of the new system?
Being honest I don't think this game has a good future ahead. When you base your game on how much people will spend it is doomed.. Companies still don't get casual people who don't want to spend still make up the majority of the population by a lot. When they decide they had enough, there goes your long term profits and your game.

Some one ever remember start of t3??? its in BEST CASE you have 1400/450 stats and purple DUNGEON(almost uselles)/orange ARGOS set with little bonuses. and to EVEN HAVE this little bonus from set you need GRIND sets and level up you CHAOS set to point when you can ENTER DUNGEON. and its not ALL. What about engravings? some one remember? 3x3 WITH class engraving gems? 3-5 lvl gems. and to have ONLY 1400/450 WITH AGROS set take SO MUCH time. EU/NA have SOFT t3 start with decreased cost to lvl up gear. what about t4 start? IT SOOOOO much softer and easy. Stop CRY ppl. This system is SO MUCH better then previos one.and time to have 100% playble build is ZERO in t4. Cuz in T3 class UNDER 1415 and AFTER 1415 is a 2 complitely different builds and playstyle INSIDE one class engraving when player starts as 1302. t4 have 100% SAME as t3 END. so t3 change point 1305-1415 ( 110 GS to even TRY you class. it was EXTRIMELY expensive) + engravings + NEW FULL jewelety(EXTRIMELY expensive) + gems(EXTRIMELY expensive). t2 gems have 50% penalty in 1305+gs. can NOT convert t2=>t3 t4 you need just little upgrage in jewelery to try class.and its cheap. all others you already HAVE. even t3 gems usable in t4. NO penalty. you can FREE BUY t3 lvl 7 gems. you CAN convert t3=>4.
i feel like if we don't have some sort of generous event heading towards T4 to prepare us, will going to bleed our playerbase even more. There are just too many gold sinks and costs that we need to do and farm. We did not had the same amount of time as korea to prepare for this. i may not even able to advance hone since it cost so much leapstones and orehas before september meaning that i did not even interacted with the "new system" that we had. hell, i did not even had the time to clear G2 echidna yet. and is not like i play little. i truly hope that the next event help us a little more to catch up than the previous ones. Yes, 1580 nerf is good, but 1600-1620 and 1620-1630 is so freaking expensive right now.
They should take notes from Nexon (of all studios) on how to monetize the shit out of a game for the western audience, without it being a dismal experience should they chose not to spend money.
