The only kind of pick I would see the habs accepting is like a top 10 so nobody would want, not even Mtl because they clearly want a playoff Sherif.. Very though to acquire this kind of guy because he's much more talented than the average 240 lbs joe
Podkolzin maybe gets you one of Struble, Harris or Barron. All 32 GM's would agree that Xhekaj is worth far more the Podkolzin who looks like a busr relative to where he was selected.
Kent hughes is a man who got a first round pick to aquire sean monahan and also one to get rid of him. He got a frist for toffoli, a first for ben chariot, a second for brett kulak. I hate to break it to you but your not getting arber for a third. They value him way to much. They see him as part of the core. You need to overpay for him. Better off trying for harris or barron .
Canucks are smart to look at Montreal. Habs have a stuffed prospect pool on defense. Even with the players the host spoke on there are still more prospects pushing up like Lane Hutson, Adam Engstrpm & Bogdan Konyushkov. This doesnt even list the core of Laval dmen(not incl Mailloux) and this years draftee Owen Protz who could be Xhekaj 2.0. Every said, the Habs must move some dmen. The problem is how well all these kids have played so far in the NHL makes it difficult for management to move a couple out. Xhekaj although is going to cost more than a 3rd for sure however like Guhle I dont think Montreal management have any interest in moving him. It would take a lot to get them thinking. Struble Harris & Barron are all NHL dmen and make a nice fit. NOTE- big fan of Juulsen. A former 1st rd pick of Habs who started so strong and then completely knock down due to injuries. I hope he recovers everything he can of his pro career...He is a dude you just want to cheer for
One of the stupidest podcasts I have ever half heard. The rumour last year was Philly offering a 1st for Xhakej. Mtl let it be known he was not available. Just dumb and out of touch
Arber is a unicorn. He ain’t moving. Barron or Harris are next to leave. Both good players. Pick one. A second round pick would probably do it. Harris a better player. Barron is a right shot and more offensive upside.
Montreal has a top 3 prospect pool in the entire NHL a 3rd round pick has minuscule value to Montreal , in all honestly it would have to be something like brock to Montreal.
Xhekaj has NEVER been on the trade block lol. KH will always listen to offers but it will probably take a 1st + for the Habs to trade him. Maybe stick to a more realistic option in Harris, Struble or Barron
Sorry there are only 3 available. WiFi is out of the equation. Barron, Harris or Struble. And you're looking at the season stats. If you were a fan you would know that after his demotion to the Rocket he came back and had improved his defense to being an equal to Harris. Besides, Harris has already been on the trading block on a deal that fell through.
What does the Canucks have to offer that would interest Montreal? I don't see anyone that is a realistic trade chip. Also, Arber Xhekaj is not available, 0% on that happening. But I get it!! it's nice to dream right? But be realistic, Arber Xhekaj is not getting traded... at least not in the next couple of years. UNLESS you grossly overpay, but again this brings me to my first statement, what does the Canucks have to offer that would really interest Montreal?
For that to happen, Canucks would have to start the talks with a top 6 forward.. Then the Habs could add something but even then, the way Hughes turn down tons of offers for him makes it unlikely
Canucks don't have the assets to get Xhekaj. Willander is the only prospect that Montreal would consider and it might take an added piece from Vancouver to complete that. I don't see the Nucks trading Willander so I don't see a fit with Montreal.
The truth is they would ask for a top 6 forward for him and then add something but even then, I'm not sure Xhekaj is leaving until (if) he gets massively injured
Man listen, Habs have Barron, Harris, Struble that are out of the top 6 if you consider Hutson and Mailloux in. Why would they send Xhekaj who's their enforcer and also is better than the 3 guys mentionned higher.. A 3rd is hilarious knowing many teams offered a first for him and they were all declined, I don't know a single reason why he'd leave.
I wasn't going to say this, but then I thought maybe it would be helpful to you before I slip away. I haven't watched your show for a long time, but long enough to know there are a couple of things you do that make me want to stop the video every single time I watch your show. The growly voice you use at 1:03. And you keep saying, "YOUR Canucks" as if you are not a Canucks fan and only we are. It's like you're trying to step back to be this impartial arbiter of information . . . but you're not. You are two of the biggest Canuck fans in the city. So why would you not say OUR Canucks? That brings you down to the people instead of stepping up on your pedestal. For as long as I've watched your show, I have to fight through listening to that gravelly voice and the condescending phrase of "your" Canucks. I guess I don't feel like doing that anymore. I do appreciate your passion and I hope your show keeps growing.
Lmao! A 3rd rounder? Hughes has already turned down a 1st for him lol! Wifi brings something that nobody else does and when he’s on the ice, teams take notice! They don’t manhandle Habs players! You can’t compare Wifi and Zadorov. Both are tough but only one drops the mits!
3:01 dude do you even know anything about juleson , he wasn't "lost" at the NHL level, he had an almost career ending eye injury ?? Come on man ,do better
