I dont usually see romance anime, but when i saw this anime i just felt the joy and happiness. I saw this anime multiple times just to feel the joy again as you said. This video of yours described the anime perfectly
I find myself focusing on the soundtrack a lot. It's absolutely on target. I can listen to the Season 2 OP in the morning to get me out of my today is gonna suck attitude just about every time. Pair that with the story and (anime) writing and it's just about perfect. Gonna be on my list of rewatch over and over.
Great video! I didn't know about this series until the anime aired. Episode 1 was a bit iffy, but my word episode 2 and onward is some of the cutest, sweetest, fluffiest, face hurts from smiling so much romcom goodness I've ever seen. After episode 4 I couldn't wait anymore and binged the manga in one night You mentioned how this show doesn't really do anything different and just does everything extremely well, but I disagree a bit. The thing that stuck out to me was how we only get Ichikawa's thoughts. It's the only romcom I can think of to not only do this, but to pull it off flawlessly AND have a pay-off for it too. Yamada is so well written you don't need her inner thoughts. The writing in general is just really good *****MANGA SPOILERS***** The moment that solidified The Dangers in my Heart as one of the best romcoms ever was when Ichikawa finds the note that Yamada writes to Hanzawa. It's the first time we get a glimpse into her thoughts and it's just so adorable. I have a photo of the note saved and look at it whenever I want to smile. Not to mention the confessions which are both perfect
I was introduced to this series through the anime. At first, I wasn’t sure what to think about it, but soon enough, the series had me hooked 🤣 it easily became one it my favorite series that I am watching this season. I definitely need to check out the manga at some point.
I can't get behind Kyotaro. He's easily one of the most unlikely protagonists ever. We shouldn't root for a character who literally has thoughts about killing someone, especially if we want them to end up together. Now, you could say those are just thoughts, true, but you could say that about a lot of horrible things. I guess that's left for everyone to decide on their own. Is it the thought that counts or the action? To me, I'm somewhere in between. Certain thoughts are despicable, and others would be okay if I knew them. If I knew a friend of mine had thoughts about killing me, he'd be done.
I'm going to write a negative comment about your video because, while it's true that you generally spoke positively about the anime, in my opinion, you didn't speak positively enough about this absolute once-in-a-lifetime emotional masterpiece. So, indirectly, you're giving me the impression that you actually have a negative opinion of the anime, and therefore, in that case, I completely disagree with you, hence my negative comment.
There was so many times when the adaptation of my deeply beloved manga didn't make justice for the source material but I am glad that this time it's ot the case. While there are some moments that could've been better, overall I like how studio put so much love and thoughts in adaptation and also kept the manga character design and not just made it generic anime style. The music by the composer of Koe no Katachi is amazing ❤ and there are some moments that were animated really beautifully! Sometimes the anime is low on budget and the anime looks more like a colored manga because of lack of animation 😞 I am really glad that it's not the case this time.
When I heard about coming adaptation and saw the first trailers, I couldn't believe that my favourite rom-com that I saw as "great but little story" will become such popular. I was amazed by trailers but also a little afraid because I wasn't sure if it will be a faithful adaptation. Especially when I could see the falling smartphone-like thing with Kyo's drawing - a scene that wasn't anywhere in manga. I was interested because this is a motive that deserves more development but I was also afraid if there will be too many changes and adding some new arcs that would completely change the story. And then I watched two firsts episodes - they were great and I felt the same emotions like reading a manga, but still there were some chapters replacement (about the drawing) so my interest mixed with fear just grew. And then I watched the third episode - and OH MY GOD. The drawing used in such creative but still faithful way to make emotional moment even more emotional... even now this scene hits me even more than it should. After watching the third episode I was sure that's the perfect adaptation - not 100% faithful, but made by creative and wise people that actually love the original story and want to tell it in the best possible way for anime. And just think that was only the beginning. With every next episode I love this adaptation even more, enjoying every beautiful moment from manga in beautiful animation.
