@@hottiemcscottie5952at that time they probably weren’t as expensive. Especially considering that it didn’t have the original engine. Still incredible though
Man who ever owns this car is so lucky to afford it, IT SOUNDS SO GOOD, and the experience of driving such a barebone machine must be unparalleled compared to a modern supercar.
Cor, doesn't she sing! Love it. And with all these continuations you can actually use and enjoy them to their full potential without being in a constant state of worry and anxiety about breaking 60 year old - unavailable components!
The most beautiful front engined car ever built (mid engined = Muira). More desirable than anything built in the last 50 years. Simpy sublime.... as your reaction demonstrates!
The giggling was funny! Awesome car..amazing that they can recreate it ..must be some wonderful engineering going on in that beautiful GTO building....thanks for the review Sam
Josh Nisker maybe, but the driving experience is far far mor amazing on the SWB for me. So the hole package is far better with the SWB (for me of corse)
Josh Nisker The SWB competizione is the best car i’ve driven...period. I have the amazing luck of being able to drive many many cars, but no car has ever transmitted su much and felt so right as the SWB. But the 300SL is a stunning car, beautiful. Did you know there are some very special 300SLs that where restomoded by AMG and Mercedes Benz with a modern engine inside with 400hp, and A/C. Not very engaging when you drive them but they become very very usable, almost a daily driver.
Wonderful video. It expresses why I turned in my leased 2017 high tech modern Alfa Giulia sedan and bought a 20 year old 911. Not on the same level as this 250 SWB, but well within the same spirit and fun factor. Modern technology in cars turns us into automotive couch potatoes.
Giddy as a school boy. I am as well lol it really shows What you need in a car. Forget Sat nav, drinks holder. Wheel Through your fingertips, arse On a seat, and the best engine Money can buy. Bellisimo ❤
I need to comment, but these old Ferrari do the same thing to me, the sounds are euphoric, and they kinda scramble your brains a little. Thank you for the upload Sam.
What a great video - As genuine cars have gone beyond dream money, if I had a mere 800K for a car, this would be the top of my list! No doubt! I think you liked that more than the F8!
You tried hard Sam, but, there are no words for these kind of experience’s, the best that life has to offer in vehicle terms. I am the same, especially on really fast motorcycles, there are no words..........thanks for videos like this, GTO Engineering are exceptional at what they do and long may it continue, they are magicians to be able to recreate such engineering art and poetry..........wish very much to be able to afford a 250 SWB, in black with cognac leather, competition spec !
Sam, this is your one of the best reviews. Car is from another planet, of course, but your reactions were onest. So glad to watch it. Repeated couple times your downshift fragments) Thanks mate!
@lol I'm 6ft, it was ok but my legs were up by my ears. The seat was hard mounted but I think it might be able to go back a bit and then i'd spacer the wheel. Not optimum tho
You absolute legend 🙌 you lucky boy!! Would this car not be more like a million or 2 ?! Great video pure adrenaline and emotion 👌 👏 👍 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
RHD version of this would be fantastic. Great video. Every time I see a car I think something different, I guess that’s the problem, no matter what you have, the question is; “what would/should I have”?
Great video! Wow! The era when you actually drove the car. Now the cars drive you. I would have liked to hear her roar from outside the car before the drive. But thats just me. Thanks!
It’s as raw driving as it gets. The shifter is all hydraulic, the engine is a beast of raw power, the suspension, we’ll you’ll feel every bump, it’s all meant to be that be that way.
M8, I was absolutely cracking up with laughter and joy with yu there Sam!!! Sometimes there is too much talk when there is absolutely no need and this clip would be right up there in that regard. Those first few cackles killed me LOL 😂 Now to the car and in particular that engine and gearbox. Just wow!! 250 SWB always been one of my faves and after watching this I’m wondering how I can make a few mill sos I can get my self down to GTO and order me one pronto..!! I reckon if they ever need to do any marketing they only need ur clip Sam!! Because of yu, thousands more are aching to own this machine. Another thing, I’ve seen recently that they are recreating the Aston DB5 007 editions. Those are going for a kool 5mill or there abouts. To my mind it makes this Fezza look like an absolute bargain. If I had the choice between the two with the 250 a similar price to the Aston, I’d still choose the 250. With it at a fraction of the DB5 sticker, it’s a no brainer! Great work sam and all hale GTO engineering :)))
Great video and review Sam, only money prevents me from buying it and what a bargain with respect to an original.......the noise is amazing, you must have seen Derek Hill’s video in a 250 GTO, 7 minutes of bliss, thank you so much for this .....
I grew up in the 80s with the 80s attitude ‘can’t sit in my car - you’ll ruin the leathers’ is what I was told by a guy my brother knew! Right there & then I made it my goal to own a Ferrari - & I do. I egged myself on visiting showrooms & dealers until I could afford one. I keep to my promise that I’d let anyone drive my car as I don’t want to be like that guy! It’s only metal & money ❤️
He starts out . . . I think I'd rather have mine in dark blue, The seating position is a little odd, Can't adjust the seats . . . accelerates for the first time and speechless mouth agape
The first factory dual purpose racing/roadcar was the Bugatti T35 in 1924 The last factory dual purpose racing/roadcar was the Ferrari 250SWB in 1959 Both can be bought new these days as perfect recreations to nut and bolt detail.
I am sooooooo jealous. Come on lotto. How can they badge this a Ferrari? I guess they start with an old Ferrari do they? But you seemed to indicate the car was a new build. If they have Ferrari approval then it elevates this car somewhat more. I really hate you right now. How come others have so much fun and I'm stuck in a shopping trolley. Great vid and I love your response to the car. Pure unadulterated joy. :)
It’s what’s known as ‘a tool car’. It’s built completely of Ferrari parts, it just didn’t roll off the Ferrari factory floor. Ferrari actually buy parts from GTO Engineering for fixing and servicing classic Ferraris
Giorgio Napoli It really is an experience you'll get nowhere else. The sounds, the vibrations, the view over that beautifully shaped front end, ... To really feel exactly as he did you'll have to try it yourself
May I trade my family for this jewel?🤤😍🏎 Love the starter gear noise that ring like Alice Cooper’s School’s Out song beginning 🎶🎵🎶 Love the headrests too 🙃
