I thought the moon was just a shell and the true form was going to emerge for a new phase where we play as Super Sonic...you could imagine my astonishment to find out that the moon was the final phase.
3:47 The director of the game actually came out recently and mentioned how the form of the boss isn't actually it's true form, it's form is based on how we perceive death (for context, Japan has a bit of history with the moon being used as a sign of the end of days. That, and a lot of depictions of the end of the world usually comes from space). Sonic and Sage could be seeing an entirely different form.
A possible reason to why the final boss is the way it is is because the game was rushed. The End screams rushed to a very high degree to the point where they reused a mini game. Imagine what we could’ve gotten if this game had more time, maybe something similar to Unleashed and Adventure 2 where we have to switch between Sonic and Sage. In Conclusion, the game being rushed is a possible reason to why The End is underwhelming, while I wouldn’t call it awful it’s super underwhelming and with more time they could’ve made something magical. Maybe in the DLC we’ll get something better
The final island seemed very rushed tbh in that it was fairly short, reused mostly all the assets of the first island, only making it "harder" and upped the collectable requirements up to an insane degree compared to the others (I just Fished to get around that tbh) that and The End was literally just a Moon that pooted circles and lasers at you... very strange for a Sonic game finale to say the least, very disappointing compared to standout fights like Giganto, Wyvern, Knight etc.
I see The End as a personification of the "great filter" idea, some sort of barrier that halts the development of alien civilizations and alien life in general.
That's actually a pretty cool idea, the Ancients had maybe gotten too advanced and relied on the Chaos Emeralds too much to boost their civilisation and knowledge, so The End came along and destroyed them to prevent them advancing further. I personally think The End is tied to the Chaos Emeralds themselves though as it destroyed their World and followed them to Earth where they fled to with the Emeralds, so it seems The End goes where the Emeralds are at some point, and it talks of bringing Order to the "teeming chaos of creation" so it sort of acts like the opposite counterpart to the Chaos Emeralds, although that could just be overthinking certain lines it said, and it coming to Earth might've just been for it to finish the job of wiping them out completely rather than claiming the Emeralds they took.
The thing that really got me upset was how this thing bad mouthed all of the other final bosses as being "lesser" than it even though they had more much character and better designs.
The End was literally blowing smoke out it's own rear, hyping it's self up etc in my opinion. I really do believe it's "powerful", but to exceed even....Dark Gaia? Idk m8. Super sonic was exhausted from the dark gaia fight. SUPER SONC got exhausted lmao. I think it could be chalked up to "It wasnt the ends true form, so it wasnt at its strongest, and sage said even super sonic wouldnt be able to beat it in its true form!" We must remmebr how often sage was wrong with stuff she said. Even so, if she's right.....Sonic team bould be like "Broh, remember the Soup or emmarulds!? HAIPA SONIKKU!"
Im pretty sure it was talking about being lesser in terms of power considering the end pummeled the titans, and the only thing the titans can do was seal it away l, not kill it.
@@joegomez5463 while you di have a point, super sonic is frontiers is VASTLY stronger than the super sonic in unleashed. Sonic gets stronger throughout the games. Hell, the end pretty much ONE SHOT sonic out of his super form, something that even dark gaia couldn't do.
@@earlrice8095 The part about him being shot out of super form is a good point. But also rememebr Eggman made a machine that could neutralize super sonic as well. Suppose it's not the Ends innate strength, but maybe a power it poseases? Super sonic being stronger (As well as sonic being stronger) is also up in the air. Powerscaling is really odd lately, and we only have Generations (Which let sonic run on water by this point) and Sonic telling Infinite he gets steonger every second to go by. The Perfect Chaos fighr was pretty one sided initially, and even on Dc, COULD have been done without super, but sonic wasnt programmed to run on water. Sonic smack talking infinite is just that imo. I wouldn't necessarily take that super seriously, as "Stronger" could mean more slilled, or capable. It doesnt always translate over to, like a DBZ sense where "My power level was 500,000 fighting Biolizard, and now its 1,000,000,000 fighting you bro!" I would think sonic / Super would have gotten some stronger by now, but I wouldnt think anything LEAPS AND BOUNDS. I would still like to see the end's true form / true power tho. I'd love to be wrong, and the they need a whole new (or revived) form to beat it.
@@joegomez5463 you do have a point, but there's something I disagree with. Sonic dissing infinite to me imo doesn't feel like a taunt. Think about it, 6 months before eggman took over the world, sonic was dominated by infinite. Then, he was stuck in space tortured for 6 months. Not training. Tortured. Yet somehow, he was able to put up a fight against infinite who is arguably stronger than the first time he battled sonic. Why do I say that? Because 6 months is a LONG TIME for infinite to utilize the powers of phantom ruby and master them to the best of his abilities. If sonic, who was captured for 6 months while infinite was getting stronger and reigning havoc on the world, was able to put up a much better fight against the guy who BEAT HIM, doesn't his statement hold weight just for that fact alone? I disagree on the notion on sonic not being leaps and bounds stronger. Also, for your point against perfect chaos, I disagree because sonic (and knuckles considering they both have to fight chaos 6) had to freeze chaos 6 in order to damage it, which means that base sonic isn't as strong as perfect chaos. As for frontiers, this game came out 6 years after forces. 6 years is vastly longer than 6 months. Frontiers sonic to me is sonic at his peak strength. He grows stronger after each fight. The titans weren't even going all out and manged to ONE SHOT sonic, something even infinite couldn't do. Not to mention, it took the titans all combining their strength to SEAL AWAY the end, not kill. So, I would say the end BULLDOZES dark gaia. Imo, super sonic frontiers < super sonic unleashed
this finale was probably one of the biggest blue balls I've ever experienced in a game. And I absolutely loved the rest of frontiers. Like how did we get from giganto and wyvern to THIS. And the way sage dies and insta comes right back is just like....uhh ok. And wtf is up with the whole cyber corruption build up just getting nope'd out of the story at the end. It could've been used to give sonic a new form by combining with sage or something (which would make her sacrifice actually mean fucking anything at all)
You know what this boss reminded me of? Naruto's OTSUTSUKI clan. A menacing thing of the space with moon form that doesn't do anything for all the story untill the very end and talks SO pretentious about life and death and about how meaningless we are.
It would’ve been cool if it was an epic multi phase boss fight like kingdom hearts does for its final bosses. And maybe you don’t even have to be super sonic the whole time
Since their updating the game they should update the final boss keep everything in there but make it a bit longer where sonic fights the end and this is the perfect opportunity to insert vandalise into the final boss
Yeah, they really need to do something, anything. Like the final product does not live up to all the story hype. Will management give that to them? I dunno, but with that ending cutscene showing the symbol we saw earlier, there might be room for a "true" true final bossfight, maybe in the cyberrealm
Kishimoto tge director said in a recent interview that the final boss is like this because of time constraints, so it's not what they envisioned, however as you said, with the upcoming dlc, we can hope for this final boss to be rebooted and become what the team envisioned
Hell no get rid of everything and start from scratch that “boss fight” was just an extremely lengthy process involving holding a button and occasionally pressing another. Keeping that but than adding actual fun afterwards would be like what they did in unleashed’s final boss. 5:00 minutes of just slowly flying to the boss with really slow an unimpressive qte’s just have 2 minutes of actually playing as sonic.
I agree with you 100%. Frontiers was ALMOST perfect Sonic game for me.....and then this MOON showed up and ruined everything. Ending of this game in general feels rushed, I clearly see that they wanted Sonic Unleashed level impact, with Sage's death and epic final boss to determine a fate of the planet.....but I feel absolutly nothing because execution felt flat. I would give "The End" better physical/humanoid form and actual motivation. I think appropiate one would be that She (because from a voice sound like it's female) believes that Universe must be purged from all life because it all leads to conflicts, destruction, violence and at the end of the day, it all leads to nothing, but Sonic believes that noone has a right to take everyone's chance to fufil their life and dreams (it would fall in line with all those visions of The Ancients past Sonic and his friends see on the islands), and maybe Sage dies from this laser to save earth, Sonic gets in rage mode and player takes control of Super Sonic for the last time to absolutly destroy The End with his fast attacks. Overall I thought the game was awesome, story actually takes it seriously and those 3 First Titan Boss Fights are just MASTERFUL, I LOVED THEM SO MUCH....but I'm sad that we couldn't get a whole package because final Titan is meh but not terrible, and then The End.....so yeah. Also I think ending should be more emotional. I think Sonic should said something to Eggman like he's sorry for his loss, because Sage has grown on him as a friend.

I did have fun playing this final boss, but that is not enough, the game spent its entire runtime hyping this up, The End is supposedly the strongest enemy Sonic has ever faced, it should've been a spectacle! I'm gonna replay The Wonderful 101's final boss and pretend that was in this game.
Fun fact: The End has the appearance of the personification of death. Everyone sees The End as something different based on what they perceive death to be, that’s why we hear a female voice but Sage refers to The End as an ‘it’ and Sonic calls it a ‘he’. We see a moon because in some cultures, the moon symbolizes death(so maybe one or some of the developers that decided The End was gonna look like a moon are members of that cultural community). I also headcanon that Sonic sees Mephiles when he looks at the end
The only thing I disagree with is "Motive". The end could just be a sociopathic villain, and just does it cause it can. Some things are like that in life, and in some ways, that makes it more terrifying, as it cannot be reasoned with.
I had a few ideas for a proper finale: Sonic, stuck between Cyber Space and Reality, using this + his speed to at least move. He could freely access the portals and eventually reach a portal that takes him to Angel Island. Idea? He takes the Master Emerald and gets back to Starfall to power up the Chaos Emeralds into Super Emeralds to go Hyper Sonic and break free from the corruption. Then he takes control of a Titan he faced before to fight, first Supreme, then, after each Titan falls, one by one, it'd be HS + Supreme vs The End
Wrong actually. The end doesn't seek absolute destruction. Instead the end seeks neutrality and order. It's whole purpose to bring neutrality to life and death cycle hence why it's considered the personification of death. It's like a cosmic grim reaper who can't empathize with life because death can sometimes be cold and swift
I definitely agree with this, by the way I heard THE END was supposed to be a planetoid-like dark purple celestial sphere that glows faintly with a reddish aura (in other words..a huge purple Asteroid). I was wondering why not a Female Goddess or something.
The only great thing is the continuity because no Final Boss ever directly mentioned a previous fight or any fight, like even f'ing Time Eater doesn't do this and would've made it worth it mentioning old Final Bosses or maybe going through portals to fights while chasing it, something to make it feel iconic because Time Eater left aloot to be desired.
I have to disagree because Metal Overlord mentions his previous encounters with Sonic. Which gave us this amazing dialogue. "I was created for the soul purpose of destroying you. But I could never seem to defeat you. That is why transformed my own body with my own hands. But that was the past. Now you're nothing but a spec of dust to me". There are also final bosses like Imperator Ix and Lyric. Even other final bosses who also had battles in their far past but couldn't tell them because they can't talk, like with Chaos and The Biolizard.
Imagine. All the trailers of the game are about BIG ASS MASSIVE ROBOTS GOING AFTER YOU AND YOU USE SUPERSONIC TO DEFEAT THEM. And the final boss is *_BALL_*
I can definitely see why people think that the boss fight is pretty much game-play-wise, because it is. I'm not defending that, I can't deny that was pretty wack for a final boss 😂. But about you saying that The End destroys things for no reason makes it seem unintelligent. Quite the contrary. A being that has the power of a God and destroys entire worlds just because it can sound quite unnerving if you actually think about it. It's just simply destroying worlds for fun, with no regard for the quite numerous amount of being of lives that he took away. We get how other civilizations were wiped out by Chaos or Solaris, but lets be honest, they kinda brought that to themselves trying to use their power for their own selfish gain. Unlike the Echidna tribe, the homeworld of the Ancients is shown to us, and we also get to see some of the Ancients' final moments before they perished, and what The End did to them. By keeping its true identity a secret, it makes it even more visceral how horrific it must have been for each of its victims, arriving to them seemingly out of nowhere and obliterating everything without distinction. And one thing that you have to remember is that The End was FAR from its Prime. Remember, even with four titans, who Super Sonic had a hard time with INDIVIDUALLY and had to use his full strength on as he could actually be killed by them, they couldn't defeat The End. It took Supreme to seal it, and The Ancients to CREATE A WHOLE REALITY TO CONTAIN IT. In the flashbacks, it shows that The End is seemingly able to destroy entire planets and wipe out entire lives with one attack. Imagine if Super Sonic fought The End BEFORE it was sealed for decades and decades WITHOUT SAGE. Let's be honest, Super Sonic would probably lose regardless of what he tried. And even now, it was going to self-destruct and wipe out the ENTIRE UNIVERSE which Super Sonic COULDN'T STOP BY HIMSELF. The End is simply an underutilized villain. It's immense strength is so hyped up, like how this is the strongest foe Sonic has ever fought. And that was not even it's true form, Sega really went like "DANG, we are really running out of time, we gotta dish out this game before the holidays and Pokemon just cause! But we did not even develop the final flipping boss!" And then some guy's son was like, hey I have been working on this mini Galaga style mini-game that I could work. Sega: ALRIGHT SOUNDS GOOD, GO AHEAD, WE GOTTA DUMP THIS GAME OUT BEFORE THE NEW POKEMON GAME COMES OUT!!!" It should have been developed more and Sega should have given the team one more month. I think we can all agree that we could have waited for another month for Frontiers to be properly done. Calling it awful is kind of a stretch, I prefer this to Forces any day. The story is just rushed to where The End's immense power is not fully explored, it is pretty much equal to Solaris or even stronger, canon or not. The boss fight is simply underwhelming, and this was not even supposed to be its final phase. Sega did not run out of ideas, they ran out of time, huge difference. There is so much potential for a super epic villain missing here. Hopefully, the DLC adds more context to The End. If they did it right the first time, there would not be much of a dilemma of The End being Sonic's strongest opponent, or even one of the strongest.
All I can say is cultural differences when it comes down to it. Many westerners don't understand why the Japanese get so hyper focused on showing the moon or something from space being the sign of the end times. Hell, maybe I'm desensitized to it by now since I watched a lot of Super Sentai in my life after discovering it was the origin of my childhood show Power Rangers
Honestly, the biggest thing I hate about this fight is how much it goes back on everything the game has taught you. Say what you will about Supreme, at the very least it’s a fun fight that used the combat system you’ve used the whole game. You’d expect them to use that system to its limits here, like nearly EVERY OTHER SONIC GAME. But, they don’t That being said Imperator Ix is by far the worst final boss fight in the series
Well, according to the 06 guide, Solaris is of Cosmic creation & existed before the time began. His true form exists within the void beyond the Space-Time Continuum. The flame of hope is his coperal form in the physical realm. Though the game doesn't really tell this in the story other than implications. He was actually calm & chill until the Duke of Soleanna decides to experiment on his physical form to harness his power over fate to bring back his wife & to correct Mankind's mistake during the Solaris project. Solaris didn't like that & refused to cooperate, resulting in the Spatial meltdown and explosion that killed most of the scientists. After that accident, Solaris became too unstable from the experiment & split into two beings, Iblis(raw power) & Mephiles(the consciousness). Both representing Dark aspects of his personality, Mephiles became a sociopathic manipulator who wants to make people suffer for what they done, more particularly Shadow(since the latter was the one who sealed him away, & the former forced to take his shadow to resist the supernatural sealing), representing Solaris' innocent consciousness corrupted to a dark sinister mind. Iblis became a mindless force of destruction that brought ruin to Silver's future upon release from Elise and representing Solaris' eternal flames turned into the "flames of disaster." When they finally combined to become Solaris again, the entity was warped into a mockery of what it could've been a Eternal Sun God into an Omnipresent Superdimensional being that wants to destroy the Space-Time Continuum. Which he technically succeeded in doing, since most of tine is already reduced to nothing, luckily the cast was caught in the rift with the chaos emeralds, so they could use them to defeat Solaris, who was purified to his original peaceful state. Who then send Elise & Sonic back in time to wipe his physical anchor from the main timeline to prevent all this from happening.
I do disagree with the idea that The End has no motivations means bad villain, because it doesn't need motivation. This isn't your average eldritch abomination or biological freak, it is The End. The LITERAL End. This villain is not a creature with desires, it's the manifestation of the concept that everything in this universe will end. The end came for the ancients, and despite sealing it the ancient's still were wiped out. Now it's Sonic's world, on the brink of it's destruction, just because plenty of random things at anytime in this universe are powerful enough to destroy everything. The battles against it are metaphors for resisting the inevitable. In the Ancient's case, they couldn't stop it, so they came to an end. Sonic however, managed to stop it, so his world continued. Just as in the real world, great effort meant that the world was saved from it's oblivion. But that doesn't mean they're free. Like it said "The end comes for you all". Something will inevitably happen one day that Sonic's world can't stop, and when it does, it too will end. It's appearance as a giant black moon supports this, representing it as a force for apocalypse, after all, what would be a more final end for a planet than having a moon crash into it?
Honestly the final boss reminded of nightmare from Kirby's adventure, how it starts out as a big ball that works as a shell for the true final boss. It's just... The shell is all it is.
I understand this can be disappointing for some people. But if this disappoints ya, be sure to look forward to the new story. Sega announced it in Twitter at the sonic frontiers road map for 2023! I understand every one has opinions.
But why can't you agree? I thought I made some pretty fair points in my video and I haven't heard a good defense for The End so if you have one I'd like to know.
@@JulesPrime1999 Those are indeed fair points. But I guess it just comes down to the dialog and the music that balances out the disappointment. The music, to me at least, gives me a kind of "End" vibe despite it not being the immediate end.

The End should had been designed better. We were gonna get a moon rabbit sort of boss as stated and that in the leaks as a whole in general but nope, we just get a giant flying, talking moon. Totally missed opportunity.
I've seen some comments say the cyber corruption could've given Sonic a new form or something, kinda like fighting The End with its own medicine. Also, for something called "The End", it doesn't have good design. Imagine if "The End" looked like some sort of cybernetic psychedelic hallucination. Imagine it having an abstract, cybernetic form that's hard to interpret or hard to fight. Also, I don't like how Sonic didn't even mention Sage's sacrifice, just came back smiling like nothing happened.
Man words can’t describe how annoyed I was at this boss fight, throughout the whole game everyone is saying that there’s something big out there, tails at one point even says that the energy he’s reading surpasses dark gia, so I’m thinking “oh man if they’re mentioning dark gia the final boss has to be something grand” to say I was hyped is an understatement considering how amazing the rest of the bosses are, but then reality struck, I was playing a sonic game after all it had to go bad at some point, after defeating the last Titan and seeing that pathetic excuse for a boss battle I paused the game and didn’t even wanna play anymore. (I did end up doing it but I was incredibly reluctant to)
Honestly they should have made it so that tails pilots wyvern because of his flying abilities, knuckles pilots knight because of his strength and Amy pilots giganto… because that’s the only one left. Also the fact that sonic just left sage to die.
I was really disappointed by the end. Before I started a friend hinted to me to play on hard because you'll get extra content at the end so I was really looking forward to it especially after the epic super sonic boss fights. To be thrown into a mediocre bullet hell after all that was a letdown. You don't even play as super sonic. An actual Super sonic vs an eldritch god moon boss would have been awesome instead of whatever this was...
But in defense, I dare you to name a more powerful Sonic villain. The End wiped out the inventors of the Chaos Emeralds; an entire society with more firepower than Sonic has ever seen before.
Good news we’re getting an update which will fix the end and give us hopefully an epic final showdown befitting of this stellar game I do also hope they flesh her/him out since it was one of the few villains to actually outsmart sonic I think a good design for this boss would be like an angelic being in the same domain of Solaris I’d actually like to see maybe a titan design with angelic assets it would explain why the ancients designed the titans the way they did something in the same domain of the 17th angel from evangelion which I can’t be the only one who thought the titans especially knight giganto and supreme looked like Eva units they even have a similar cockpit that can’t be a coincidence right? I’d like to play as supreme and super sonic again like in sonic 06 where you switch hedgehogs while fighting Solaris I just hope they make a better final boss in this new update

The final boss of Frontiers... which you can access by just switch the difficulty to Hard Mode RIGHT before you fight the final titan (Yes you can actually do that I'm serious)... And your final boss takes the form of a... Great... Big... ROCK!!!!!!!!
I would treat the boss battle the same as the Paper Mario series from Sticker Star on. These are good games but bad Paper Mario's. I think The End is a good boss, especially if you are a beginner in bullet hell. But it's a bad Sonic boss.

So.... after beating Sonic Frontiers FOR REAL(I had to switch the difficulty) and facing The End... let me get something straight Sega..... we went from: 1) A Ginormous Water Serpent-Like Dragon Monster (Sonic Adventure) 2) A Gigantic Lizard Attach To A Large Space Shuttle Thats Heading To Earth (Sonic Adventure 2) 3) A Large Robotic Dragon-Like Monster (Sonic Heroes) 4) A Devil (Shadow The Hegehog) 5) Fracking Gods (Sonic 06/Sonic Unleashed) 6) A Robotic Wisp Thats Controlled By Eggman (Sonic Colors) 7) A Robotic Time God (Sonic Generations) 8) A Humanoid Egg-Man Mech (Sonic Lost World) 9) A Humanoid Mech that later on turns into a Robotic Wisp Look-A-Like (Sonic Forces) And in this game, we went from a Giant Humanoid Titan, a Large Dragon, a Four-Legged Robot, a Stronger Version of the Giant Humanoid Titan, AND THIS IS SERIOPUSLY WHAT YOU GUYS CALL THE FINAL BOSS??? An "I'm smarter than you" jackass A.I. Moon that spams Energy Balls and Energy Lasers/Beams????? Did Sega just run out of time when they created The End and just made this the "battle" to conversated????
Well Supreme could be the final boss, if you choose to play on easy or normal mode instead. Supreme is also a letdown sadly, since he’s the easiest Titan boss. The pros for playing on easy or normal mode are that you won’t have to deal with this annoying, horrible excuse for a boss fight, and you’ll hear the song Vandalize in the end credits. The con though is that you won’t be able to hear One Way Dream in the end credits, which is a song that I like better than Vandalize.
They should’ve made the final boss like how they made Knight. It would’ve been much more fitting with the gameplay of the bosses and overall would’ve been much more fun and better
The End is just a Moon who can’t stand Negative in the Sonic Fandom. Bad Games, Bad Characters, Bad Gameplays, Bad Designs, Bad Levels, Bad Bad BAD!!!! No All Sonic Games are perfect. Sonic is about Fun, Not Perfection. Sure it’s a Bad Final Boss, But The End wanted to End all life for a reason! To My Theory, The End think every Sonic Games are Bad. Sonic 06, Sonic Lost World, Sonic X, Even Sonic Forces! So The End want to Shut Them Up by Killing All Life! I’m not defending The End, I’ve just Disagree.
The End is a case of show don't tell. Besides showing it cause some destruction in the past, the fight does not show this crazy power it's said to have. It flies about shooting 2 types of projectiles while boasting how it could wipe out everything easily... Well if that's the case then do it

1. Not sure exactly what you mean by that. Humans have reasons for doing things. 2. That was first time Sonic got hit by the laser, but the second time he was aware of them and was even dodging them. The End's laser is way bigger and stronger so he shouldn't have even been able to it hold back. Also I was obviously talking about Sage possessing Supreme. 3. That's kinda irrelevant to my point. Also 06 did happen. Even if they "undid all the events" They still had to fight Solaris to have Elise blow out the flame to begin with in order to live in the world they live in now. 4. infinite is stated the strongest enemy in the series so far by sega themselves. so unfortunately, infinite and base sonic are stronger than solaris. this is consistent if you know anything about sonic scaling
Infinite is not the strongest. If you actually believe that because Sega said so, then I don't know what to tell you. From what we see in Sonic Forces, Infinite looses to base Sonic and Custom Avatar. He can't keep up with Super Sonic. He is not up there with The End, Solaris, Time Eater and more. Maybe in the future they can make Infinite stronger but for now, based on what we've seen, he isn't that strong.
@@JulesPrime1999 Infinite losing to Base Sonic isn’t a defeater, as I said Sonic can and does get stronger than himself from the past. Modern Sonic states he is stronger than Classic Sonic. Guides have always said that Classic Sonic is only speed of sound since 1997, whereas Modern Sonic has been stated NUMEROUS times to be faster than light since SA1. In SA1, Sonic needs to go Super to beat Perfect Chaos, whereas he Base Modern Sonic can do it (proof Sonic can surpass even his super states from the past). Already stated how Sonic gets stronger in Unleashed. Stated to get stronger multiple times in both Forces and Frontiers. You can say a statement is hyperbolic or what have you, BUT, there needs to be a contradiction in said statement to make invalid. Which there aren’t any feats/statements to say that Infinite’s raw strength is not above Solaris. And we know Sega still considers 06 as canon, as it appears in both Generations and is spoken of as apart of the events in the timeline in the encyclopedia
I can agree. I felt so excited about the final boss that when I faced Supreme my disappointment was immeasurable. They were so easy. Then came secret boss and it was the shooter game but it tells you lore as you play the boss. I would have loved if it was still the moon but we fought it as super sonic and it was a massive bullet hell and you could even parry most of the attacks and the giant laser could be an insta kill beam. It would've been more epic than just being Galacta. Bonus post: just a little theory I've been working on. Reading some comments I can't remember who exactly said this but someone said that the moon was a representation of the end of things (Whoever said that brownie points to you.) If you guys couldn't here the voice speaking to ya in the fight it eventually speaks about us being finite and them being infinite and the voice slowly becoming more male sounding. Going of what the person said about sonic could be seeing something completely different. I potentially think (however there isn't much evidence just speculation) that sonic could be hearing and seeing Infinite. As Sonic in sonic forces was closest to death when infinite attacked him that one day when tails felt hopeless whilst Sonic was having his ass handed to him. Sonic sees Infinite as being the end to him. Man sonic was probs traumatised after that beat down from infinite didn't he. Also we never got that shadow or chaos fight in sonic forces. I wish we did that would've been sick.
I'm not completely this game because of this boss it's so bad why is this even a boss in a sonic game JUST WHY!!!??? the boss is also way 2 long and just frustrating are you telling me after all those bad ass fights as super sonic this... this is the final boss and I found the mini game really boring so that doesn't help
I kinda thought we would get a different form of sonic for the final boss. I would’ve loved some sort of corruption form for sonic, or have super tails and super knuckles help sonic out. Also Sage did not have to dive straight into the explosion of The End at the end of the “fight”. Even Eggman had survived blasts more powerful than that.
Maybe the reason for why The End wants to destroy the world is because it's an "All Cosuming Void". Which is a lazy explanation but it's slightly better than nothing.
you are blowing it way out if proportion. sure, it's not better than the titans or even some of the world bosses for that matter. but it's not the worse. now I know some people are goanna say "well if you really care you would say its bad". but I don't need to do that because I can enjoy something but recognize it's flawed and needs to improve.
So your saying that fighting a primordial wasn't fun and to be fair the boss wasn't at full power but if it was it would be stronger than Solaris and sonic would be destroyed along with everone and everything else. sonics goal was just to find save his friends and explore and the ends goal was simple it ate worlds races galaxy and it enjoyed it didn't need any complicated reason and it's dialog was just the normal aragant god/primal talk
They could have gone for a better end not that a final boss fight was actually necessary imao you could just have a "lets blow up that moon with a super cannon" so they power the "kaboom thingy" with sonic and then kaboom no need for that seemingly boring final fight The game as a whole is still worth it though
Doesn't mean I hate the end, being honest I think is narratively pretty good but what we had before was even better EVEN THE WORST GAMES OF SONIC HAD BETTER FINAL BOSSES and that's just kinda sad.... I expected this but i expected more of frontiers
While I like the concept of the boss .it’s a representation of death the end . No matter if Sonic defeated it will come back But I agree the boss seems very rushed
The End is the best boss in the whole game and you can't change my mind about it. You wanted a hard final boss, you got a hard final boss. Also the gameplay shift is very welcome, and the fact that the shooting mechanics from a mere minigame are getting used for a much bigger thing is unexpected. I love minigame bosses like this (as well as minigame bosses in other games like Earthworm Jim 3D). If you actually like/love The End, don't be afraid to say it :)
no shit this is the actual ending? im fucking pissed rn i love the entire game but the ending is just purely disappointing,how did it start with amazing boss fights like giganto and wybern and end up with this type of shit?

@@FirestoneAnimation In sonic frontiers you play the hacking mini game 2 times in the same world you fight the final boss and the final boss is just that mini game but harder. There's even another time to play the same mini game on an earlier island. At least in sonic forces the boss fights fit the gameplay style.
Wait, you guys got to fight The End? I got to it and all I was given was 3 well timed button presses. I didn’t even get to do the spaceship thingy! Also the speech sonic made before the “fight” felt like it should’ve been towards the ancients, not sage controlling the titan Btw I was playing this on Nintendo switch in normal mode
I literally beat this boss fight about an hour ago and I've never been more mad at a boss fight in my whole life. I probably have but this is definitely top 5 worst.
@@doubleyoupersonality RIGHT? like they just revealed out of no where that the voice talking to sonic is an evil entity who wants to destroy them 😭 and even then, why couldnt we have fought it as sonic or sage (and supreme)? it was just very sudden and anti climatic because the story had so, so much buildup, with flashback scenes and everything.
My battle with The End was different, it was all cinematics and just had to press one button on time 3 times for Sonic to go through the moon. I have the game on Switch
Hang on a second i googled "sonic frontiers thr worst final boss ever" to moan about supreme not been as good as the other three Titians and Wait what !!!! This literally didn't happen for me!!!!! I went to space and it said the end and then then game finished in a cut scene with sonic having to speed through the new formed planet.....I never even got to play this mini game boss thing.
Sega said infinite was sonics strongest villian yet and sonic defeated him in base Sonic defeated the end with sage in super sonic so the end>>infinite>every other game sonic villian Agree with the rest tho

@@JulesPrime1999 Solaris took 3 Super Forms to take him down, while The End was easily defeating 4 Super Form level titans, the reason why The End was defeated by 2 Super Form level characters (Super Sonic and Supreme/Sage) is because he/she wasn't at his/her full power. And the Nega Mother Wisp was stronger the all the wisps, in Sonic Colors Wii the wisp's energy is enough to create a black hole (Or something close to it) so the Nega Mother Wisp should be around the multi planetary level if you want to lowball it, so she would be slightly stronger than Perfect Dark Gaia who is just planetary level. Sorry it took so long to answer, its because my phone ran out of battery.
