Thank you for the amazing review! It's nice to hear someone actually enjoying the watch and the beauty and functionality of it. There are sooo many people online hating on it and they haven't even received one or purchased one. I've had mine for about a week now and I enjoy it overall! I came from a Galaxy Watch 4 and this one is better in almost every single way. Looking forward to Google's future generations as well. Does your watch allow you to charge it while it's powered off? I've tried multiple times and it always automatically boots back up.
Well, the “hate” (I don’t think it’s that) comes from the poor battery life of the device. One of the reasons you would want a smartwatch is to have it on most of the time, not charging it a lot
I have been waiting for this pixel watch but I'm disappointed with the battery life. I will have to go back to Samsung Galaxy watch until Google can fix the battery life on their watch, hopefully next gen. It's crazy how they couldn't just make it last as long as 30 hours at least
Had mine over a week, set the watch to flip to wake and have no issues with the battery, I do charge every day il say that. I wear it to bed charge it while I'm getting ready etc put it on and it's fine until I wake up again and recharge, That works for me
honestly round watches seem clunky in their own standard, UI has to be crammed in and you have to scroll more to view the same text. Love that Apple Watch takes advantage of the real estate it is, and helps the UI be efficient on a small screen display. I’m happy you enjoyed your experience with it, but for the “same reason” i don’t think I could ever compromise to a round watch
I have for Android smart watches and none of them are as good as the pixel watch while the battery could be better. It's not aware near catastrophic like some people might be making out it to be a great first effort from Google
Once they come up with a larger size then I will definitely get it. I didn't realize how much different a 40 to 44" watch is until I went to Best Buy. I am glad that I didn't jump on the pixel watch because I might have returned it. I did get the GW5 and so far I love it. PW2 with 44 and I will be sold.
Everyone keeps saying the battery is bad on this, but the Apple Watch 3 I bought last year I wound up selling because it only lasted me a little over a work day and not a full 24 hours. Obviously you have to turn off things like the always on display and tilt to wake if you want a day. Especially the tilt to wake I found was a huge battery drain.
@@Webzterr quite but there's nothing smart about a watch that runs out of power in under 12 hours. Am I missing something? At least you can use a standard usb c with a phone. This is demented.
Well, the Apple Watch Series 3 can’t be compared to modern day technology. My Series 7 easily lasts a day (actually 28 hours to 0%) with everything I do with it and with AOD turned on. One of the biggest battery drainers of the Pixel Watch is the fact it monitors your heartbeat every second. Which is unnecessary.
To each their own. My take: a round smartwatch doesn’t make much sense. You can see in the notifications: they are rectangular in shape. You see less on your display, things get cut off. You also see this in the control centre (if this is what you call it in Wear OS land). Also, I think this device lacks severely in battery life. Also, the screen is so tiny. Then again, it is a first gen device so things could change.
Its not ridiculous at all, I have apple watch 7 series and I just bought pixel watch because I use pixel 6. Both battery life are pretty much the same. for apple watch being 7 gen watch and still not improve their battery life is the most ridiculous thing.
