As Paul & Peter started moving into the Gentiles they didn't require new converts to convert to Judaism or follow all of the Jewish laws - especially circumcision or the Sabaath. But you're right, they wouldn't be as forward thinking at this time in the story. YET - Jesus DID accept non-Jews! He did not require the Roman Centurian to convert or follow Jewish laws! Jesus knew He was for everyone from the beginning! He just came through & to the Jews first! Praise God! 💖

Nowhere in the Bible does it say they didn't "have" to keep the Sabbath. That didn't happen in Christianity until after the Apostle and first century Christians were all asleep in Jesus. It started with Emperor Hadrian, who was anti-Semetic, and the Christians had to keep Sabbath in secret. Then Constantine came along in the 4th Century, called himself a Christian, but held fast to his pagan traditions, and then instituted the very first Sunday law for the Venerable Day of the Sun. As happened with Babylonian influence, Medo-Persian influence, Greek and Roman influence, pagan traditions seeped first into Judaism and then in Christianity after the first century, but especially after Constantine.

I wonder how close or how well Tamar will get along with or relate to the other Gentiles that come seeking Jesus. Many letters of the apostles were written to address the stark differences that people of all kinds brought to the banquet table of Jesus Christ. Thank God for the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth and mends us together in the body of Christ

According to season 3 only Leander is Greek. Even Leander is a Greek name and he is dressed in the Greek style. The other man with the cool hat was Syro-Phoenician, and the woman Fatia was Nabatean. The Nabateans were an Arabic people.
