If your dream is to be a model or a rapper then pursue it because you only get one life to give it a go and if you fail and THEN go and get a job I would argue you'll be far more fulfilled than the person who never tried, living with the regret that they never exercised their true potential. The better advice would be to pursue your dream but don't be afraid to carve your own niche instead of being obsessed with being the top position. It's that which causes the problem. Being a model, rapper or influencer is achievable for most if they really want it but to be Kate Moss or Drake is incredibly rare and its the pursuit of this elite level that quickly turns a passion into a shit existence.

However, it's important to be realistic about it and that a hobby (or something you like doing) is not the same as being successful enough to live off of it (or anything at all). In fact, it doesn't matter if you're a professional at what you do... Some people do everything right and still come up short. That's just life. Always have a plan B, something to fall back on and a safety net. Don't jump into something you're not ready for and listen to advice given. If you start making money doing what you do, don't quit your job etc. Just do shit the proper way and don't risk everything at once unless you're ready to lose it.
