First time someone really explained what's really happening in Manipur.

Monipur Issue is intentionally created due to some vested interest. If meity community is given S.T. status by High Court, then why the other commitments should raise their violent protest ? The other commitments could move to Supreme court democratically. Besides this, during the British Rule and before 1949, Meity Community was rightly entitled to S.T. Status. So pl. Stop violent activities for the sake of HUMANITY.

I am a Bangladeshi hindu! Always remember "Demography is destiny" every indians must know who are real pro-indians & who are anti-indians!? Despite having two states in Myanmar (chin) & India(Mizoram),Kuki-chin-Mizo people want to create another state in the name of Kukiland. Then they want to create greater Mizoram. They are fighting their war in Hill Chittagong with our Bangladesh army. In Bangladesh and Myanmar, Both kukis & meiteis are enlisted as tribe. Even in Bangladesh meiteis are constitutionally granted & benefitted as tribe! There are no problems at all! But In india when meiteis are lawfully demanding ST status, so many kukis are opposing it! It really really surprised and shocked me! Later found out that it is against their agenda of greater Kuki-chin-Mizo land! If necessary even with the help of chinese fundings & ammunition! The 1953 Kalekar Commission listed meiteis as ST but left it to the state to decide.If the meiteis didn’t take up the ST status that does not mean they are not entitled to ST! An indian living abroad may refuse to take OCI status, but can change his/her mind after 50 years and apply for OCI Status, there is no bar.

I live in mizoram.. I have known about it for years Before the pendamic there was a steady flow of kuki villagers feeling to mizoram After or maybe during the pendamic there was a 2nd wave of refugee from the same village They stayed along with the Myanmar refugees in refugee camps where I was volunteering to help around May of 2021 It's not a issue that started 3 monthes ago It's a very old issue And the goverment just neglected it the same way it neglected mizoram during the refugee crisis... and now people from both myanmar and manipur are flowing into mizoram ... They r our brothers we can't send them back to die The central goverment really need to solve it from the root to the top.

As a neighbour to my Manipuri brothers and sisters I'm heart broken to the level this violence has impacted the lives of the common people and jeopardized the future of the younger generation. Truly the young educated unemployed youths who are taking arms against it's own fellow brothers and sisters should have instead taken arms to protect the frontier of the country. This manipulation of the young minds through the China factor can't be ignored. My appeal to The Central Government to come up with robust policies and schemes for this young generation to divert them from taking up illegal means of livelihood and insurgency towards entrepreneurship and greater representation in the Government. 20000-40000 illegal immigrants is nothing compared to Tripura. Lakhs and lakhs of illegal immigrants in Tripura mainly from Bangladesh Bengalis and some Muslims. Tripura is gone case. Central Government doesn't take any step as per merger agreement. illegal immigrants are ruling Tripura because illegal immigrants are majority now . In future it will be worst situation due to local Indian ST is minorities now. Manipur is still controllable,so Government should take quick and proper step before gone case like Tripura.

Central government should also investigate the funds being transferred to Kukis by Indian Catholic Church. The amount was raised significantly from January 2023 onwards compared to what the church used to send them previously.

All the immigration can be resolved through proper government interventions, not through blaming one entire ethenicity, especially when funded by the valley merchants.

@Nikita great detailed information on the Manipur crisis, appreciate it. However, I would like to correct one vital information you gave. The Meitei insurgency group PLA is no longer active. All Meitei insurgency groups surrendered there weapon and left these activities almost for a decade now. But the Kuki militants were allowed to keep their weapons with an agreement of not using it on civilians as per SoO between the center and Kuki militants. In fact they are also given a monthly stipend of 6000 Rupees. When this May 3rd crisis started the Meiteis were overnight thrown out from the Kuki dominated District, in fact all of the hills which is 90% of the area, and Kuki's freely used their weapons on Meitei's killing many innocent civilians, like women and children, even raping some. Sad part is the country only picked up the procession of the Kuki women which was done in retailation to the killings and rape of numerous Meitei's in the hills. To add to this Kuki militants were freely leading the Kuki processions during the initial protest with sophisticated arms and ammunition. They also got support from a barrage of militants entering Manipur after the crisis started. These have been now supported by the visuals, videos and footages. The Kuki's meanwhile were already station in major cities in India and in contact with top media houses before the crisis started sot hat when this happens and internet is banned in Manipur and Meitei's are trapped there, they can orchestrate and run the propaganda on the mainstream media. But truth cannot be hidden for long, slowly and steadily everyone is now coming to know about the real issue. Therefore, everyone stop saying that Meitei militants of crackdown on the valley, because valley people are the victims. Crackdown has to happen aggressively in the hills where the real militants are hiding. By seizing some weapons from the Meitei's i the valley you are putting the Meitei community at stake, as they have nothing to defend themself with. Also, if you look at the timelines, Meitei'sonly started retaliation almost after a month when they understood that innocent Meitie's will continue to be killed and uprooted with no support from the state or Cental government.

In the 1990s, it was a diverse town until the Kuki-Naga clash (1992-1993) brought violence & change. Kuki refugees arrived, transforming the dynamics & leading to conflicts with non-Kuki-Chin communities. In 1992, clashes between Tamils & Kuki occurred because Kuki militants imposed illegal taxes on Tamil businesses. Tensions escalated in 1995, resulting in many fatalities. During that time, Moreh had 17,000 Tamils, but after the clash, only 3,000 remained.
