With new threats on the verge of destroying the current music industry, it's clear that from rap to pop, the music world as we know it is about to change forever...
@@ENVYWantsToDie he's right tho, as much of a kanye meat rider I am, vultures is not a game changing at all. Especially when compared to his other projects.
@@BrofessorDOOM I agree, but VULTURES 2 is coming out soon so that could do something. Last Kanye West album that really standed out was Donda not gonna lie.
How to make a Fantastic Hip Hop video with three simple steps •Title video something about “changing the industry forever” • Choose five rappers to be in the thumbnail •Make Kanye the hero of the story
@@lulubellepfbootsThe album was sonically great. So no, my ears don’t need checking. Lyrics were fine, I guess, and to be honest I wasn’t really expecting some introspective lyrics.
Good!! Let the labels dissolve and let the fans run the industry. It will be a lot more advantage for true talent that's independent. Basically it's going back underground
Bro, you know how Megan is into anime ? Wouldn’t it be hilarious if she dressed up as Griffith from Bersrk and held up a sign that said “Tory did nothing wrong.” ? Just to troll Tory fans.
‘ in the music industry everything has become about making money’ my guy, have you been living under a rock? That was the idea from the beginning of the industry. It’s called an industry after all. They don’t call it the music business for nothing m.
But do the brands / agencies/ commercials know how to reach out to these independent creators? It was easier to reach out to labels to collaborate e.g. with certain artist. How is the future there?
If you listen to punk/hardcore, then you’re probably well aware of independent music, and the independent labels that exist. This ain’t surprising at all.
what I think had a detrimental effect on the music industry was two things 1) lawsuits over copyright. This means that artists have to be very careful what content they produce, otherwise they run the risk of getting sued. 2) consolidation of the music industry into 3 BIG conglomerates.
is this a Kanye West fan page ? Vultures are joint Projects feat Ye and $ stop acting like $ didn't contribute to the success of the project it's too early for the industry to fall off, Vultures ain't gone change nothing for the next 50 years of hip-hop Kanye is a big dog but no man is an island he's independent because the mainstream machine don't fuck with him no more. How can he change the industry when he never outsold Drake, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd even when he was mainstream . let's be honest Drake next album will outsell the 3 Vultures combined it take money to make money don't be delusional Ye is no longer a billionaire , he's no longer a mainstream artist you can't count on him to destroy a powerful machine ironically Taylor Swift is now a billionaire and still mainstream Ye is powerless than he ever was. he can't even stop adidas from selling yeezus . the Big dogs don't fuck with him no more
I don't think it's so bleak, but painful indeed. I think what's going to happen is the record companies are going to abandon music on favor of streamers, influencers, whatever you wanna call these kids. They are a much cheaper & much less demanding/problematic way to get to their exact same target audience. Music is never going to just go away right, so if all of the people & entities who are in music for the wrong reasons leave then what do you have left? Only those who are in it for the right reasons. People are afraid the money will dry up but we live in the age of information, people know how to get to the money themselves now & the appearance that these artists have money is part of the packaging but most of these label artists aren't doing so great anyway. The music industry could theoretically die & we return to the way it was before the past 100 or so years, but do we really believe that's going to happen? Doubt it.
I get Kanye is a generational talent, but the glazing is next level. Yes, Kanye is "independent" but please don't leave out the fact that he's been in the mainstream industry for the last 20+ years. There is a huge difference between Kanye's independence and joe schmoe's independence.
Horrible horrible take, because put someone in his position that’s been 20 years plus, they’re not doing the same thing Sorry 🙄 actually, this is a huge deal with Kanye is doing
Did you gloss over the fact that I said "Kanye's independence" and compared it to that of a regular artist. That's why I led my comment by saying he is a generational talent. Kanye is technically/legally an independent artist, but he was a signed artist for the majority of his career. This is completely different from an artist who is independent or was independent for 20+ years. I hope you understand that.
Tbh, the average listener has no clue what label their favorite artist is signed to, so labels are irrelevant to big artists in terms of streaming numbers
I agree brother. These folks are overhyping these proceedings. Kanye isn't a new independent act off the block. He's one of the biggest artists ever. Kanye's financial success off this album has more to do with his long influence and impact in pop culture than anything else. Whenever Kanye does anything, he's plastered all over social media. So how is he even blackballed.. makes no sense the conclusions to which these Kanye glazers are coming to.
Music biz becoming a Country Club, with a few Superstars feasting on the spoils of success, and upcoming artists well we aint in it , going independent is the new mantra, but it's not all what it's cracked up to be, yes Kanye West doing awesome as Independant, but he was already famous, but new artist joey no name who is living on a prayer and little money to put food on the table, what the record labels have that most independent artists don't is Money, and money makes money...rough road ahead for new artists. Now i'm speaking as a Pop Rock artist, maybe it's easier with hip hop artists being that it's the number one genre, still the music biz doesn't look too good
The label existed solely to get mechanical product to the consumer. Since the internet, and streaming, the label no longer has a reason to exist. It’s because of the consolidation of power at the highest levels that the labels are maintaining their control over what is pop. If government broke up the big three into smaller labels the size of independents and broke up the conglomerates and iron triangles, only then will we see the resurgence of fair competition and “good” music return. At least music that is not machine made, cookie cutter, only to satisfy the bottom line. The only reason the state of the music industry is what it is today is because it is a monopoly and monopolies as we all know engage in the practice of price fixing.
Won’t happen bc everyone is so greedy. Artist are all entitled bc they believe they’re the main character and that they deserve to be rich. Greed won’t stop.
GOOD ABOUT TIME!! IT'S ONESIDED BORING AND STALE EVEN!! BRING BACK VARIETY IN MUSIC $$$ LIKE BACK IN THE 80'S!!!! TALENTED MUSICIANS AND THE CREATIVITY OFF THE CHARTS!!!
This all sounds good, but when you use Kanye as an example for why everyone has an opportunity to achieve anywhere near that level of success dilutes the information. Would love to see an artist we've all never heard of so something like that. Then maybe your point would hit home harder.
I thought I was going to hear about the music industry from around the world, but all I could find was north american music. Cultural bias. Or blindness?
This is about hip hop. North America pushed this style of music around the world. The labels they are talking about sign people from around the world. They run the music industry essentially. So, every other country that has hip hop artists that could be potentially signed to one of these labels could suffer the same fate.
The labels are ( not ) artist enemies folks. They are corporate entities looking to increase profits. They don't encourage artist to make crap music, it's just the acts not ( artist ) that make crap are easier to sign. Artist view their art as personal creative works and they expect their work to be treated as such, whereas an act is just in it for the money. Labels should be viewed as partners, whom may offer financial and other back office support. Your deal is what you agree too. The labels are trimming the fat because they are corporate traded companies whose shareholders want to see a return on their investments, and with new technologies a number of staff along with under performing artist and acts can be let go. The music business is a very healthy business for investors, small investments offer greather returns. A company like Universal which is worth about $55 Billion, can be sold for a ten X valuation ( 600 Billion ) to a hedge fund company like Black Rock, and its shareholders cash out. Its business folks, not charity.
You have a profile picture of another man that DOES NOT KNOW YOU. I think it's called worship... orrr... GLAZING... orrr... MEATRIDING@@nathanashebir7011
How can i blame the music industry for trimming fat and letting go of clone artists and money losers? Would these 'artists' really be doing this if it paid like a school teacher?
Drake makes OUTSTANDING music. The only time I ever hear people bash Drake is online, but in real life everyone I know listens to Drake. Kanye dries the hoes up. No black people listen to CURRENT Kanye, Travis, or Carti@@SourSalmon
Everyone I know LOVED For All The Dogs. No one I know listened to Vultures because Ye dries the hoes up these days and tarnished his image and brand to the masses. Kanye fans have to be the largest cult following of only men known to man.@@SourSalmon
@@amorgod7776 Is that why every black artist wants a feature on a Kanye song? Is that why Kanye’s new songs like paid, do it, everybody, and carnival are already club hits? You are either a female or a homosexual with how much you are meatriding drakes whole 11 inches.
to maximize the profit is to maximize the magnitude of the average by the number by utilizing the artists and turning them into an average whilst being recognized as the best
Didn't they do some hoemo stuff yeah you did some hoemo stuff well anyway youtube suppress me with buttons and they still think Tom MacDonald is nothing. 🌬💨
Eminem and 50 Cent are of Royal lineage. They are in my bloodline. They are aware of this. They found out last year. The US Government and FBI notified them of their Royal status. Greatness is a Royal’s birthright. If they never met each other, they would still be great. Kanye West is also Royal in my bloodline. He also is aware of this. I speak publicly about the actual Royals that are in this world. There are just over 28,000 actual Royals in this world. And no, I am not talking about the British Royals, because they stole their titles. They are not true Royals. You, yourself- reading this comment may be Royal and not even know it. I speak publicly about Royals in our bloodline. We are in the bloodline of the Egyptian God Ra. 💯💯
as a kanye fan, I'm still glad at least he's getting some backlash for saying he likes Hitler, it's not a terrible album but he sounds mentally unstable in a lot of the verses and also tyler kind of does the heavy lifting in most of the songs as well as the producers kanye hired.. stop kissing his ass .. what he did is just wrong, he's supporting the far-right in the US, he's indirectly harming other people of color
