About competition with other k-pop groups and fans you can learn by yourself. I am an army for 4 years, know many kpop groups but bts are different, the most unique and artistic group. It's hard to understand in the beginning of your journey but the more you'll watch the more you'll realize it. That groups are a cool, talented and interesting in their own ways but k-pop system ruins them by not giving them freedom. But bts is the bigget for a reason, definitely not overrated. They have authenticity and creativity in their art even till this day.

BTS has record for Most views in 24 hours , dynamite 100m views and then later break their record again Butter with 120m views in only 24 hours .

There is a reason why bts broke so many barriers in the music industry first in kpop n then in western. Bts changed kpop industry… now if u still see after 10 years of bts oh “ next bts is stray kids or “ blackpink is bts of girl group” its all mediaplayy and ads the views the streams those groups are continously promoted in kpop industry as bts is gone or on break… their labels pay for mediaplay , awards they are not bigger than bts ! Bts competes with western artists like taylor swift , beyonce, bad bunny, drake on charts not kpop. Armys don’t like kpop cuz still till this day kpop stans and kpop industry is sabotaging bts… they continously get benefited from bts but downplay their success and only create stories for them which are not true to manipulate people. Bts is mainstream they are not part of kpop now just tht they are korean and hve a korean label Bts is not equal to kpop. Bts is on break and then in military will get back together in 2025. The oldest of the group will be back in 3 months will start his solo activities n keep us busy. Fact that south Korean govt profits off bts… bt still uses them n doesn’t treat them like human and a legend that they are.. as bts alone brings so much money to south korea. Bts being gone rn sk and kpop is crumbling down the industry is hitting its low stocks n losses which was predicted by bangpd ( who created bts) bt tht time people laughed at him bt now the industry is literally losing millions to billions cuz bts is not present so they get no views. These other groups can convince u they have real fans when actually they are no dedicated fans like armys. Its the biggest fandom for a reason… its organised and works like a machine day n night.

I remember that Olivia was advertised on Western plattforms in East Asia as the rival to BTS for Butter (?) to get BTS antis to stream her against BTS. That is not her fault. In a few years she is likely to be burnt out because of how the industry treats artists - even their "own". BTS has many many good songs. Boracity has a vid about their discography of BTS first chapter. She has an interesting vid about promotion strategies for the BTS solo era. Personally I like bby gang mag usually more for his video essays (and on his channel Eliot Sang: for example "why do we love suffering artists") - BTS vs K-pop (has a definition of what "K-pop" even is) - you are wrong about K-pop (because there is so much nonsense out there) - BTS: More than K-pop (why BTS is different) You nice! An interesting thing happened recently. BP became the first K-pop group to reach 2B views on YT and lots of their MVs have as many views as BTS' (between 1B and 2B). Although BP fans don't even represent 1/4 of BTS' fans. They are far from reaching the same sales and streams and most of the general public barely knows them by name. But somehow one of their songs that barely anyone knows in the general public has more views than BTS' most popular song (Dynamite) that topped the charts for weeks and was nominated for a Grammy. But BTS keeps getting views deducted and a group like BP virtually becomes more popular than BTS on YT but not anywhere else
