Why the new tarkov event might be bad...

even though I don't fully agree with how we gotta pay up to play maps now, I do appreciate that BSG is trying to get more pvp on the maps one map at a time.
RIP Long Line, customs will be a good time though. See you there :)

This completely killed my drive to play rn, for me as a new player wanting to do tasks im no locked behind a pay-wall to enter the maps i want to do tasks on. Sure this might be great for stacked high lvl players but you also screw over all new players that recently started playing.

Granted this late into wipe most players who are high lvl need somthing to do as well. For them this might be the pvp juice they needed. After the weekend it’ll be fine. Back to normal.

Same, I planned on getting some tasks done on interchange or shoreline but I’m not paying 100k+ for an item and then losing it to have to pay again, or wait for the map to be free which could take forever, and then when it’s free it’s just gonna be full of a bunch of giga chads.

I wasn't playing at the time this video was made, rn it seems that they removed that "paywall". Haven't seen anything like it this wipe, now that i'm playing again. Does anyone have info about what they decided to do about the pay to play maps function? Cause it really seems like a horrible thing and i hope it wont return.

replace "might be" in the title with "is" and you'd be 100% correct. seriously hope theres some sort of reward from doing this shit (a rewards thats hopefully not x boss spawns on x map now like theyve been doing as "events" for years)

I have 2 days a week to play this game, and this even starts on my first free day off this week. All the items required are now 100k+ on the flea and the only map that’s free is just full of a bunch of juices out chads. Looks like I won’t be playing this weekend.

this event is a total shit, they ask you for an item sometimes cheater can only buy because its like 200k or something... doesn't make any sense for a normal player to spend so much to play in a map since a normal player would loot garbage that isnt nearly worth that amount of money, leave aside the fact that they dont even tell you the name of the item, you need to search the image somehow

If you play a lot you quickly learn what items are what, and get better at looting. But I definitely get your point, it’s not super beneficial for casual players.
