The amazing thing about Yamal’s cross is how he doesn’t need to prepare much to deliver it. He doesn’t need much space, or to sort his feet out. It sort of happens. It looks so easy.
I am a barca fan but pau cubarsi doesnt give enough of his flowers.Debuting at 16 years on UCL and playing against oshimen and kvaratskhelia and getting MOTM on debut. Being a starting CB at 17 is a bigger achievement than starting as a forward or midfielder at 17. For a defender if he does one mistake it can cost a whole game but he has been rock solid at the back.
Exactly. if a forward makes a mistake, its easily forgotten. But if a defender makes a mistake, people say he cost a game. When was the last time we saw a 17 year old CB starting every game of a Top league and absolutely killing??
@@baeleyy yes we can't say that "he is only 17"..because he was "only 16" for the majority of last season 💀. You don't even need goals to quantify the ability of Lamine. You can just see that he is so much better than every young winger that he is competing with in this list (apart from Musiala and Wirtz probably).
@@baeleyy bro what?!? Tell what 16 and now 17 y/o have you seen doing what lamine is doing? Here is a stat since you base your entire opinion on that without even watching games. 17 y/o messi scored 1 goal and played 9 games.. here is another stat, CR7 scored 3 and assisted 6 in 23 games as a 17 y/o
I think the most surprising aspect is that MUSIALA IS STILL U21! Feels like he’s been around forever, it’s years he’s recognised as one of the best players in the world (sure maybe not the best, but consistently in Balon d’Or top30) AND HE’S STILL U21
The video title must be Lamine Yamal. Anyways, Barcelona has the best academy in the world, and Man United, Chelsea, Ajax and in recent seasons Man City, these clubs have the best young players coming through. When it is about young players, for me, I naturally am much more impressed and awe-struck with defensive players (CBs, FBs, CDM, CM) because they need a lot of maturity. Still, why Yamal stands out is that he is so mature man. While sitting at home and watching, it's easy to say how the player must play, what he must do but the pass I think he should play, when he should go inside or outside, and he plays/does exactly that!! Such a high IQ at this age!! Ofc, as a Man United fan, happy to have Garnacho, Kobbie and Yoro. They are in the top 10-12.
@@sygmaoneMan united produced Garnacho and Mainoo. Garnacho could easily be on this list if he was in a better team. He's incredible for a 20 year old. The fact he is doing so well at such a terrible club says a lot.
Barcelona youngesters only play well for Barcelona, the ones that left the club didn't do much. Fabregas is probably the only exception but he's left quite young. There's a bit of survival bias but Ansu Fati, Bojan Krkic comes to mind
Yamal - pass for the 5th goal of Barca, already the best assist of the year and a very strong contender for the assist of the season. (Villarreal - Barca / 1-5)
I wanted to argue but it seems accurate to define it as youth investment since we buy them after the age of 16, But it's not a bad thing though, it's also as goup of an approach as youth development but it's costly wage wise
@@isuckatgaming1182 yeah it's what I was saying too, it's also a smart approach of development, clubs like Brighton also do what real Madrid did but the difference is they sell their talents once they approach their prime
@@MelusiJubane-vx2wt it's not a bad thing, it is just a misnomer in my opinion if the players aren't from the literal academy. There's no doubt they have so far been incredible investments and scouting on behalf of the RM team.
@@warrenlwolfe yeah Madrid rely heavily on scouting while Barcelona and the old Ajax relied on youth development, man city is surprisingly becoming good at both but only time will tell
@@Stoxy-c6x Brasileirão is equal or better than 3 of the top 5 leagues. Sure, the elite in Europe are not reachable, but the others? Endrick played 26' as a Real Madrid player, scored twice, assist once and a penalty. Is a monster, a top goal scorer, good with the ball (not crazy like Yamal or Estevão, but really good) and really strong even not being tall.
@@joaosilva3188 joao, bro. please now. firstly, I'm Madridista. I rate Endrick as a highly promising young player who deserves to be considered up there with the best of the young players. there's no doubt about that in my view, and his achievements in Brasil are certainly notable. but please, Brasileirão is equal or better than 3 of the top 5 leagues? Please man don't do that to yourself. No Brasileirão team is coming close to winning any top league in Europe. I watched some when Endrick began getting his game, and what strikes me the most is how bad the defenders are. So come on, let's try to be realistic.
I agree with all of those choices. Yamal is spectacular for his age. Hopefully he stays out of trouble off court and injury and he will be the GOAT for the future. He's that good.
@@AbhayKarman scored in 13 minutes of La Liga football (during the five minutes of his debut, with his one and only shot) and then scored in 11 minutes of UCL football... with his one and only shot 😂🫢
To me a wonderkid has to be defined as a teenager, you can call the above players "young players" but not wonder kids. Age 14-19 are wonderkids to me, so musiala, wirtz, garnacho, etc are all out of the conversation to me. Heres my top 8 as a Barcelona fan. 8. Matthys Tel. Tel is a 19 year old footballer who plays for Bayern Munich, last season he got 7 goals and 5 assists, which for me is EXTREMELY impressive. Ppl compare his finishing and dribbling ability to karim benzema, which to me actually seems kinda valid honestly. 7. Pau Cubarsi: Mentioned many times in the video, and as a barca fan, if you watch his games, this kid defines the word special. Other than Leny Yoro, I have almost never ever heard of a wonderkid defender, he literally got MOTM in his fricking UCL DEBUT. Pau doing this at just 18 baffles me. So for me hes no. 6, I mean this guys gonna be a future captain for sure. 6. Kenan Yildiz: Bro this man is a star, if u just look at his stats, he looks like a worse version of Antony, but if you watch his game, MY GOD, his goal against Salernintana (idk if i spelled that right) was just insane, tho weahs goal that night was puskas worthy, so it didnt make the headlines as much. 5. Warren Zaire Emery: Emery impressed me A LOT last season, he was incredible on the ball, could cross and pass in tight positions, he was VITAL to PSG last season, and I think Luis Enrique saw and understood as well, so i cant wait to see how he develops later on during the season. 4. Kobbie Mainoo: Mainoo was INSANE last season, he was the perfect player, incredible on the ball, incredible vission, stamina, defending, shooting, just an incredibly High IQ footballer, for me he is somewhat the next Paul Scholes, thats how incredible he is. 3. Arda Guler: As much as I hate real madrid, this guy is a magician, incredible on the ball, creative in making chances, and had an incredible game to goal ratio. What I rlly dont like is the Turkish fans and them overhypeing him, the moment you see him in a video, turkish kids raid the comments and spamming tons of turkish flags and words like: "HANG THE FLAGS HA NG HANG HANG" so thats 1 thing to me that i see somewhat annoying. 2. Endrick: Hold up, hold up, ppl are gonna call me stupid, but i guarantee you that all this hate is coming from the fact he called Bobby Charlton his idol, or the fact that he made 1 pass against Uruguay. Bruv stop putting pressure on him, let him develop, plus hes a striker, he doesn't get the ball often against a team like uruguay, whos rlly defensive. Anyways, this kid is actually insane when it comes to goalscoring and positioning, like his shot power is INSANE, that goal against stuttgart was just a Ronaldo moment to me, Ancelotti needs to give him more minutes, hes doing and performing so much better than Mbappe rn, and thats a fact. 1. Lamine Yamal: Do i rlly need to explain myself on this one? I CANT EVEN DESCRIBE HOW GOOD HE IS RN, DEFINETLY TOP 5 WINGERS IN THE WORLD RN, AT JUST 17 YRS OLD BRUV, 17 YRS OLD.. I always wanted to see another messi vs ronaldo debate, and I am soooo badly wanting a Yamal vs Endrick debate, cuz i wanna see it so badly.
Kobbie Mainoo isn't here because they want yall to fight in the comments and increase engagement. Also, people saying he isn't that good shows how much they hate how good he is, one of the things you'll experience from the media when you're a United player.
Feels kinda harsh Pavlovic hasn’t been mentioned. Broke onto the screen as a planned youth squad player last season and played with the composure of a veteran since. Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion to set up numbers in passing stats that come close to Toni Kroos (also benchmark numbers) and that in your (again) rookie season.
It's extremely weird how despite playing for a club & country that routinely overhypes talents, Mainoo is somehow underrated. The kid is outstanding in every area except volume chance creation.
The Athletic is a type of journalism that tries to be super woke and edgy sometimes. Had United won against Liverpool he’d been number two behind Yamal. They are so reactionary when it comes to big teams especially. I mean Rico Lewis ahead of Mainoo is about as insane of an opinion as it gets. Hilarious but annoying. The problem is that they want us to get annoyed so we interact like now with comments.
He's not outstanding in every area. He's converted shots well from a tiny sample size of 16, and he's fairly good at dribbling. But he has next to no progressive game despite playing deep in midfield, he's offered a far below average rate of creative passing despite constantly trying to run forward with the ball, and he's slightly above average in terms of defensive output. He's still very much a prospect rather than a notable player currently, regardless of how often he plays for the first team right now.
@@RL-he does play for united tho and many players have shown it's not easy to look good in that calamity of a club, so you gotta give him credit for that.
Cubarsí is insane with the ball the kind of defender who can make you Ten assist per season honestly for me he is better than Guler and Neves. He is playing with suce maturity and is So clean in defense always the right timing
This channel name and profile pic and thumbnail style is too similar to the athletic podcast. It needs to be easier to differentiate, as I generally don't bother with the athletic podcast with Jim Richardson but I want to watch all of this channels videos.
As much as I don’t like Madrid, if you’re playing and scoring for the biggest team in the world and Brazil at 17, you at least deserve a mention. Absolute levels between him and yamal tho
Last minute goals he’s good and being at Madrid helps too. I’m not too convinced when I watch him then I remind myself how young he is and get it. Also he was amazing in Brazil last season
He's very strong and explosive, with really good ball-striking ability. Looks like he could be a bit like Aguero, so I see the hype. His PR is out of this world tho, so I also see why many people question his level (compared to the hype).
I'm the only fan of Benfica and unlike the fans of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City (lol) who are jumping here clamoring for having the best academies in the world, I'm not even going to get into this silly war. The sales figures speak for themselves. And speaking of Barcelona, Real and City: why do you have big academies if then you have the millions (of oil, Qatari foundations, Construction companies, etc) to spend on players coming from other academies? What a joke
Apparently he's an Aberdeen fan. I previously thought he was an Arsenal fan because he has so many videos about Arsenal players on his personal channel.
@@abody499 What brother? He is really good. The best young cdm to look at. Before the unfortunate injury he already became a barca starter. He’s the yamal of his position. You can watch his highlights on youtube.
