It's a damn shame that Oakland just cannot seem to have a decent mayor. It's been like, freakin decades I think. This is what politicians do instead of trying to improve our communities. Plus, we've lost all our a sports teams!!! Wtf?!

They could have a decent mayor if they just voted for the best and most qualified person for the job regardless of what identity boxes they check. But like most of California they are more concerned with virtue voting and so they only vote for candidates who check off boxes such as minorities, religiously oppressed, or lgbtq members. They were so excited to say they had an Asian American woman as their mayor so this is what they get.

Ana, I agree. She definitely knows why the FBI raided her house. Playing dumb like that on national tv is just ludicrous. It was also a mistake of catastrophic proportions for her to go on that news conference, for which her atty dropped her. That was a major mistake and made her look even more guilty. She should have stayed quiet and presented her evidence in court

They said they were going to explain why she was being recalled, why she was a bad mayor apart from the illegal contribution allegations, and they didn't . I don't live n Northern California so I don't know anything about her.

Um people don’t go straight to jail in situations like this. The authorities conduct what’s called an investigation. If anything illegal or crimes were discovered upon said investigation then the mayor may go to jail. These investigations often take time and don’t happen over night.
If someone has stopped picking up their phone or no one has seen. Search for them in marriage records and or do background checks on people Watch out for cop family members and their friends they make home movies
To be fair, the Duong family has been donating money to different politicians since the 1990's up to the present. That's like 30 years long or so. So what happened to all others who also received money over the years? Sheng Thao is just one out of many, many others before her.

Looks like it's a overall plan to get to her main donor. Also, as an Oakland resident, she wasn't doing a good job at all. You gotta be careful with these rags to riches political people, they're typically just propped up by monied interest
They forgot to explain how bad a mayor she supposedly is. It's also kind of confusing on the voter accusation stuff, because Oakland's ranked choice voting makes it less clear who is going to win as well as makes elections closer.
