Why The Revolver Is Underrated (SCP: SL) 

Pain XD I think they updated the shotgun a while back which changed how it worked. I used to be able to shoot MTF at gate B from gate A well! Guess it really is just for closer combat in the facility now...

Completely agree, the revolver is amazing for human vs human combat. However, you do also have to consider it's effectiveness against SCPs. Its definitely sub-optimal fighting any SCP, though there's a reason you spawn with both the revolver and shotgun; one is a sidearm meant for medium-long range human vs human engagements, and the other is a primary weapon meant to deal a lot of damage up close.

The problem with the revolver isn't statistics, it's just adaptability. The E-11 can be used at virtually all ranges with little change in attachments vs the revolver which is outmatched at anything under high range, and SCP SL is a game where your close range 90% of the time

I often play on a server that Features a "tranquilizer" weapon. A revolver that can one-hit every human target, but instead of dying, the person respawns on the same spot a few seconds later. Its extremely overpowered against guards or other people trying to arrest you

I play on mostly vanilla servers, so I never see the revolver all that much. The one time I've ever seen it used is when I was on the stairs of the intercom room and someone in the distance shot me with the revolver. I took out my own and shot back. ...Both of us were Chaos. We couldn't make out eachothers' classes because of the dim lighting.

Hardest part - to get revolver and ammo for it (unless, you spawned as chaos or chaos has benn spawned already and dead)

TL;DR Shoot enemy in head, kill fast. Shoot enemy in body, kill not as fast. If miss, skill issue.

The revolver isn’t underrated it’s just never able to be used unless you are a 914 wizard you will never get it consistently (I don’t think the wiki or anything has a updated 914 guide) and when chaos does spawn there are 3 out of the 15 with marauder class. And chaos almost never spawns compared to mtf.

I gotta disagree. The revolver is extremely hard to hit shots with even if you good with it. It's also incredibly hard to obtain with the only real way being from 914 unless you get a lucky marauder spawn, in which case you already have the shotgun which is incredibly good.

Crossvec is my favourite weapon. It has almost zero recoil and good for any distances. I destroyed 2 entire chaos squads with it.

Before watching the video The revolver high damage AP one shot headshot. Thats it

to be honest revolvers only spawn when the rounds about to end since usually when chaos spawn its when most of the actual SCP targets have been wiped out. So its not like you can get much real experience with the gun. Unless if the server your playing on makes it so chaos are hostile to SCPs (Which is something that should be in the base game tbh) I also know about pears but I still think ALL chaos should be hostile.

I think the revolver is a fun weapon to use, just a very powerful pistol. Only big issue that makes it "underused" instead of "underrated" is the actual usability of it. Think about it, you are in a facility adapted to MTF weaponry (9mm pistols, whatever caliber the rifles are) so you aren't going to find ANY revolver and AK / Logicer ammo around the facility unless a Chaos Insurgency wave spawns or someone makes it in 914 which decontaminates in 15 minutes, and you also may as well just upgrade to a facility rifle to make use of the ammo scattered around the armories and dead MTF. It's like the Alien Blaster from Fallout 4, without the proper perks, you can't switch the ammo type from the non-renewable alien energy cells to the human fusion cells. So you may as well just toss it and get some extra inventory space for that MTF Cadet rifle over there, it may have a sniper scope on it despite you being indoors but still.

The revolver is a very fun weapon to use, reminds me of the USP with how nasty those headshots are

1:50 Choke in shotgun???? Extended barrel is better with +penetration and *- PELLET SPREAD* I think (like me in the beginning tbh) most people don't read the red text because choke have +20% pellet spread meaning it's mostly for close-combat

For some reason i put a full 6 chamber magazine into a CI once, including at least 1 shot to the head, and he lived and killed me. I no longer believe in maths.

Im an scp sl tryhard and I’ve played pvp with revolver a lot, its really good long range but thats it, the problem is that u don’t have a laser so u need to ads making u really easy to kill, revolver is just a bad version of the old usp

the 8 mag cylinder isn't worth it due to that fire rate debuff, just stick with 6 or 4 cylinder mags

You can't be a revolver user without basically turning it into a small sniper rifle and playing 'Big Iron' while using it.

Revolvers are the best guns period, so obviously I'm always gonna get my hands on one. Sadly, every time I spawn as chaos, I get the beta machine gun. Very dissapointing

Completely disagree. Revolver sounds good on paper but people aren't just going to stand still and let you shoot them (most of the time), it also lacks the ability to suppress an enemy due to its low mag capacity.
