I just picked up the XL 3.0 from amazon on a flash sale with a random coupon. Total price, tax and all, $51.53. Pretty hyped about trying it out considering the Artisan pads I've been using cost 70 and you've got to keep buying a new one every 2-3 years.

yeah, but I feel like 500x500 is a little TOO overkill for glass imo. i actually prefer that for cloth

Hello there, How are we going to find out that the issue with surface is fixed ? Is there an actual way of telling that we are purchasing a pad from different batch... do you know how it works ?

as an affiliate and homie of the guys over at wallhack, i am getting constant updates and information, and will make an updated post on my twitter when there is some sort of official response. im assuming batch 2 will be in 2-3 months or less

That surface inconsistency is not exclusive to the 4.0. it has existed at least since the 2.0 as well. You can find multiple accounts of people having 2.0s that were significantly faster than the 3.0s. Many high level players never swapped to the 3.0 for that reason. Yet, you can also find on average the 2.0 is slower than the 3.0. And within just the 3.0, i have one that regardless of skate choice, never glides anywhere near like what i see others achieve, and it feels slightly tuggy in regards to static friction. It seems that however they are producing the surface pattern, it isnt an exact repeatable science, and theres some wider than ideal margin of variance.

the 2.0 and 4.0 surface designs are not alike in any real way. my unit speed may be similar to a slow 2.0 but it is not the same "pattern"

@@skte sorry, I never meant to imply that they were alike. The point I was making was simply that surface inconsistency seems to have been a thing with Skypad across all their products.

I also got a very slow unit. Super dissapointed that its much slower than my superglide. In will send my wallhack back for sure.

I bought the 4.0 as soon as it came out because I was hyped 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂🤦‍♂ I hope I get one of the good units... I don't want it to be more controlled I want it to be like ice 😜😜

My mouse feels like its constantly disconnecting while using the 4.0, not the mouse ive tried it on my old mousepad (cloth) and its fine?

I get the feeling that these bad copies are gonna make wallhack create a balanced glasspad. Either that or a few will pass through resellers and shoot up in price. If theyre rare that is, and dont get shipped out as actual copies.

from my knowledge my "control" unit should be 1/1 as the real units being shipped out as part of batch 1 will always be as fast or faster than the 3.0, with some unit to unit variance

@@skte I wouldn’t say 1/1, as viscose and a few other creators sound to have very similar copies, though yours does seem to be the most controlled out of the ones I’ve seen.

no reason to believe there's any abnormal variance in quality in the first batch just yet, people are reviewing this with skates worn in at different rates and to different grit levels. And they aren't necessarily playing on it long enough to wear their skates in to the grit level of the 4.0

wrong. it has been confirmed that I have a DIFFERENT UNIT and as I said in the video, please understand my opinions about the speed (not including my discussion of skates) are specific to me and my unit. please do not just say it was a skates thing when it really was not

Bought wallhack and for me its much better than the 3.0 Im in love with it u have less control with the 4 but its soo much better the glide is Better jusz everything

I'd have preferred a controlled variant if I'm 100% honest 😂 not because the stock SP004 is bad, but I just prefer controlled glass pads

@@tinypickle it's really unusual, I've not seen this on a glass pad before. but to be fair, nobody else releasing a glass pad would get this much attention, so maybe the issues have been there, but they've gone unnoticed 🤔🫣

if you want control, go for the KIN (i love all 3 of my units) but my control 4.0 is unique and its expected that your experience will be different (if not faster) than mine

@thinkforyourself5672 I've covered the Kin in my recent video if you're interested. The kin is more like a cloth pad for performance characteristics, i likeit alot.
