Thornborough Henges are three massive, circular henges connected by a wide avenue on a remote plain in North Yorkshire. They've been dubbed the 'Stonehenge of the North' because they are spectacular and huge. But they actually exists as a larger sacred landscape similar to that of other ancient parts of the British Isles, with more henges, cursus and barrows dotted across the area - most if not all, telling stories of astronomical importance. And they date back to the late Stone Age, which not only makes them incredibly important to Northern history, but just phenomenal structures than have stood here for more than 5000 years. Let me also take you for a detailed look at the hidden third henge, sitting on privately owned land and covered from the air by thick forest.
