The UK economy is currently facing a multitude of pressing challenges such as slow growth rate, declining labour productivity, high public debt, rising cost of living, and healthcare issues. The events such as financial crises of 2008, Brexit, and covid-19 pandemic severely impacted the growth patterns, stability, and resilience of the UK economy.
As a result, the country is now grappling with significant economic challenges such as national debt that has escalated to about 100% of its GDP, labor productivity which is lagging behind most G7 countries, and severe healthcare crises where more than 7 million people are waiting for hospital treatment.

The UK is finished and declining. Politically, economically and morally.

Now, it's the test of the new government, how effectively it will address and manage these crises.

It's all decades in the making: Industry shutting down and often being replaced with nothing, so the benefit burden increases and the contribution to the economy shrinks. Lack of investment in infrastructure and housebuilding at a time of low borrowing costs following GFC. Housing stock being bought up meaning prices rise enormously, so those of us with mortgages pay a high proportion of income meaning less to spend in the wider economy. Not enough investment put into training in key areas, meaning gaps in the labour market whilst having a massive issue of "economically inactive" people. Quite low private sector investment, not helped by nimbyism when companies want to set up factories/plants.

How can you tell what would happen in an alternate timeline if the UK didn't leave the European union, and why is Germany in the EU but still growing slower than the UK, it makes no sense

Based on reports by the London Mayor, I have outlined the impacts of Brexit. While Germany's economic growth may be slower than the UK's, but a comprehensive analysis shows that the costs of Brexit outweigh its potential benefits for the UK. According to various published reports, the overall assessment suggests that Brexit has had a more detrimental effect on the UK's economy, trade, and investment than its potential advantages.
